| Good cd, but the songs started getting too commercial. I think they were trying to be too radio friendly. Got some good songs, but the first 3 were still better. I gave it a 7.5

| I agree with T-Bone, the songs did sound to commercial, but I loved the album Slip of the Lip is such a pure balls to the wall songs dripping with machoism. Crank this album, it rocks

| My second favourite Ratt album.Circa 86 they became really big playing huge venues like Square Garden NYC.It features my favourite Ratt song `Bodytalk`a fast mid-tempo song.It`s a hard rocking album.Difficult to get tired of it.Great chorus,Robin`s riffs (RIP)awsome.Blotzer`stumps on the music.Croucier gives the groove that hard riffing needs.He and Bobby make the perfect team.The fancy arrengements and solos by Warren melts like butter and also makes the difference.Their last effort SUCKS!!!!

| This has got to be the most solid Ratt album, with Invasion Of Your Privacy a close second. Rocks from start to finish and never lets up. Yes it's radio friendly but that isn't always a bad thing. Not a bad moment here.

| The last 'true and good rockin'' Ratt album. Although the songs smell commercial, in fact they are nice and catchy. 'Slip Of The Lip' is so hot. One of the Ratt records that I totally like.

| I think that anyone who is a fan of Ratt's music would agree that 'Dancing undercover' is a heavymetal masterpiece.'out of the cellar' was a great record too,but i think 'dancing undercover'kicks even more ass.With songs like 'drive me crazy','slip of the lip','body talk' and the title track(just to name a few)you know this album smokes!

| Well... my opinion of this album isn't as high. There are a few good songs on this, but there's not much else going for it. Legend has it that the album was complete until they realized that there was no potential 'hit song' on it. So producer Beau Hill had to write one for them. That song was 'Dance' and it ended up being the biggest song on the album. Not a complete waste, but definitely the weakest RATT album of the 80's.

| Dance, bodytalk and looking for love are great songs, but the album is not as good as invasion of your privacy, it's just more of the same.

| Dusty is right. Invasion of Your Privacy was probably Ratt's best album altogether. They're all good, though. Ratt is one of the best heavy metal bands ever!

| Body Talk aren't on my copy, it's listed on the cover, but the actual disc only contains 9 songs. Does anyone know anything about this?

This is to Kristian--I just put in my copy of Dancing Undercover and Slip of the Lip and Body Talk show up as 1 song thats 7:04 long so it looks like there are only 9 songs. Thats when I'm playing it in Winamp. And in Windows Media Player it shows Slip of the Lip as 1 song thats 7:04 and lists Body Talk as the next track but it's actually Looking for Love and again Slip of the Lip and Body Talk are combined as 1 song. Very weird but chances are the song is on there. Hope that helps!

| 'Dance' and 'Looking for love' are my faves here but this is just another slab of great riff driven hard rock - what you'd expect from Ratt. Consistent, great stuff!

| Just discovered that Robin Crosby was a better lead guitarist than Warren. He did the solos on Drive Me Crazy and Looking For Love. More melodic and crazy. DeMartini never wandered into different territories in his solos, always does the same thing.

| Too commercial, are you insane, commercialism is what makes a good record, take Pyromania by Def Leppard, totally commercial compare too High n dry, ad then Hysteria, PERFECTION!! the more commercial the better, as long as we're talking about Metal bands. Ratt is not glam, and Def Leppard is not just hard rock, they are both melodic metal, they are certainly better than Mettallica. The best songs here are Dance, Slip of the Lip, and Body Talk.

| What's this 'Glam' crap?! These guys are hard rock! Leave it to someone who is in charge to get it wrong, just like when these bands were filling arenas and music companies were mislabeling them. I liked this one as well as the others. Nice job.

| As a true RATT fan ( I have the 'R' design from the insert of 'Reach for the Sky' tattooed on my back!) I might just have to go and say that this may be the finest album in the Rattalog. As killer as the older hits were/are, you can't deny the cleverness of 'One Good Lover' or 'Lookin' for Love'....then come's the hits off of 'Dancin'' a'la 'Slip..' , 'Dance' , 'Body Talk' , F.CKIN' KILLER! Pearcy and the boys let it out on this one, it's a must own, must study, must master. RIP IT UP!

| This is a weird record, because when it came out, I thought it sucked for the most part. but over the years, I have come to like it a ton. I love the guitars, Warrens playing perfectly matches that sleazy rasp of Stephen's. But in the same tokken, there are 4 songs on this that are not that great, with drive me crazy, and enough is enough, being the two worst, and that's a lot on a 10 song disc. Still no Ratt collection would be complete without this. So do some undercover dancing and get it!

| Ratt started to get a bit sloppy here to appease mainstream radio and MTV. 'Body Talk' and 'Slip Of The Lip' are just OK but the rest seems like they were thrown together in a few days. Maybe the excesses of the road were starting to get to them at this point. 'Dancing Undercover' is an OK album, even 20 years later but not up to snuff for Ratt.

| This is my favorite Ratt album hands down. Every song just hit home for me. This disc a good example of why you should actually have the liner notes in front of you and listen to it start to finish...it's like an adventure and that seems to be lost on the new generation of rock fans...one of the bad points of free downloading. Try it, you might just like it

Cool album by Ratt!!!...catchy Glam  ...recommended for persons who like the commercial side of Glam..this band in that aspect kick a**es pretty good and as human beings are very nice too(had the chance to meet them in 1990 during their Detonator world tour in an autograph meet and greet at a record store in England)..."One Good Lover","Drive Me Crazy","Seventh Avenue" & "Enough Is Enough" are excellent tracks 4 sure...88/100...Glam it!!!

| not as good as their previous two records.but even tough, the band stayed true to their style-melodic hard n heavy double guitars attack. some songs here rocks, like: body talk, dance, dance, dance, enough is enough and take a chance. the rest is too simple for me and too repetitive. the song slip of the lip just showed the direction the band went to on their next two releases.

| Another good one by Ratt. Starts off averagely with Dance and One Good Lover but quickly picks up with stand outs such as Drive Me Crazy, Slip of the Lip, Looking For Love, Seventh Avenue and Enough is Enough.

| this one is a classic and the mighty RATT get through the golden era of hard rock music with a fantastic release!as always the rhythm and lead guitars are astonishing ,Stephen s vocs unique and the songs powerfuland commercial!the only thing that s missing is a big ballad and maybe this was a mistake !the great Beau Hill in production is a guarantee of commercial bliss and "dance",'"slip of the lip","it doesnt matter","body talk" are the proof!essential!

| Ratt is a band whose best songs tend to be the singles. Dancing Undercover, however, is the inversion of that idea: two of its worst songs were singles. Beau Hill did his usual we-don't-have-a-single routine near the end of recording, and he and Robbin Crosby wrote "Dance," with its happy, try-hard chorus that sounds more like something a Black n' Blue or early Bon Jovi might do. "Slip Of The Lip" is more in keeping with down-and-dirty Ratt 'n' Roll, but there's not much of a riff, forcing it to rely on its stupid singsong-y chorus. I do like the third single, "Body Talk," though—a genuine banger. Elsewhere, "Lookin' For Love" and "It Doesn't Matter" are good, rowdy fun, as is "Drive Me Crazy," which may be the best song here despite trying to rhyme weekend and bacon. "Seventh Avenue" is cool, but quite similar to, but not as good as, the previous album's "What You See Is What You Get." There's a bit of "cocaine ears" going on, as the production just lacks the thump of the first two al

| ... albums. The guitars sound kind of flat and don't have a lot of bite, and neither does Pearcy's voice, which sounds especially pinched and thin. Much has been said about hair-metal lyrics being shallow and sexist, and while the first is a fair enough criticism, the women Ratt sing about all seem to play an active, even gleeful part in their own objectification, mercilessly leading hapless, dim-witted rawk dudes around by their dicks. Does that make co-lyricist Beau Hill a stealth feminist, as he sometimes likes to suggest? I just know that Dancing Undercover is a decent album, but a definite step down from the previous two mid-'80's classics.
