Aug. 20, 2025: Temporary Message Board ClosureThe company hosting the message board sprung a surprise price hike on me that would have more than tripled the monthly hosting costs, so I've been scrambling to find an alternative. I've purchased a license for self-hosting a different platform and am hiring a consultant to migrate the existing board's content (posts, user profiles, etc.). However, this means I need to shut down the message board for anywhere from 3 days to (hopefully less than) a week so the data can be migrated. While this is an expensive proposition up front, it should result in some long-term savings. The current message board will be closed down at some point this Saturday, August 23. I will post updates here. The main site (where you are reading this), will NOT be affected. -Dan |

Solo CD from ex-Holy Soldier singer kicks off with a stunning rocker that sets up high hopes that the rest of the album can't match. The other tracks are OK--there are some solid tunes here--but they don't match that kick-butt opener. Truth be told, only a few songs will appeal to Holy Soldier fans, as this CD (like many solo efforts) lacks the hard edge of the band from which the singer came. Bottom line, this CD may not be the joker in the deck, but it sure as heck ain't the king either... |

Great singer with a very special(fragile)voice. Tracks 1,2 are awesome. From track 3 it becomes a little less, mostly because of the bad production of the songs.7/10 |

I somewhat agree with what's already been posted, but I'd like to add the last track into the list of great songs. Still, there's NOTHING like the first track. |
