The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Well there is not much to say about this cd. I couldn't wait to hear this cd and now that i have Can't beleive the hype about it. Thinking they get some of there old sound back but that did not happen either I think Quiet Riot better go back to Rehab. Seems they get worse every cd they put out now. |

Agree with above. About six months ago I read an interview where Banali stated the world wasnt anxiously awaiting the new QR release. I wish he would of listened to himself and worked on this a little longer. Sounds rushed and un focused-much like every other QR release since the self titled 88 release which was they're last decent one imo. |

Actually, some of the songs have great potential if Kevin didn't actually sing them. Kevin has some wonderful songs that he has written but his does them no justice by singing them. Free is a great example. It has a fantastic chorus but the voice kills it. QR just won't be a relevent band without a decent voice. |

This C.D. dosn't live up to the hype (if there is such thing as QR hype?), but it's not bad. It's has more of a 60's/70's heavy rock vibe than 80's glam. The song "Old Habits Die Hard" is probably the biggest departure from what you would expect from QR, but I think it works. Maybe the new sound combined with Kevin Dubrow's new wig (proudly displayed in the C.D. booklet), will prove to be too much change for Quiet Riot diehards ? |

well, i bought this on curiosity only and holy shit this thing rocks!!! gone is the pop metal sound and in is a heavy blues sound! the more i listen the better it gets. kevin dubrow sounds better than ever ,reminds me of robin mcauley. neal citron's guitar playing suits this music to a t and glen hughes has some influence as well! the song you suck is fucking hilarius and fucking rocks! so what this boils down to is if you want the pop metal qr then go listen to metal health. 8/10 sluss out!!!!! |

Being this one the last album ever recorded by the mighty Kevin Dubrow (R.I.P.)makes it quite an obligatory 2 have!!!...the songs can be described as Hard Rock but with a Heavy feel 2 it."Free" is a great opener,"Strange Daze"(powerful),Black Rain","Beggars And Thieves"(excellent),"In Harm's Way & "Evil Woman"(with a little Blues added)are examples of how good this album sounds!.The guitar player makes a very good job (Neil Citron from Canada,i think he had a band back in the 80's with his last name used as the name of the band)and well with another great contribuitor,Mr Glenn Hughes himself!!!.90/100 |
