|Quiet Riot was my favorite band when I was a kid, so it represents to me something very special. This album is full of energy and its songs are just cool. 'Cum on feel the noise' always will be the heavy metal song of the 20th century. This album is one of my favorites. I´m from South América.
||Date: October 10, 2001 at 11:14|
|This one one of the first metal bands (maybe the first) to have a top 10 hit.
||Date: April 2, 2002 at 15:20|
|Let's settle it right here: Quiet Riot & the media can call them or themselves metal all they want and you can too, but what it all comes down to is all that QR is is a hard rock band. Yes, they may sound different, have their own sound, distinction--whatever! These guys are NOT metal. Not being a huge metal fan myself, I still know what real metal is and this IS NOT IT. QR has one album that is titled w/ the word 'metal' in it & the next thing you know Poison & Def Leppard are heavy metal too.
||Date: April 8, 2002 at 1:28|
|I don't think anyone has ever called QR 'metal.' They are pop metal pure and simple. That said, they rock!!! The debut is easily the best, and has one great song after another, pausing only for the boring 'Breathless.' Bang your head!!
||Date: April 16, 2002 at 22:57|
|My first Cassette ever!! Very classic and full of memories. I went and found original Slade recordings of Cum On Feel The Noize and Mama Weer all Crazee Now. What a kick in the head!! The lead singer sounds like Kevin DuBrow, but the music is more rock-n-rolly. Speaking of Kevin....When will he ever get rid of that hidious thing on his head. Are we supposed to be fooled?
||Date: April 22, 2002 at 22:57|
|I agree with SHAG. Quiet Riot was one of the 1st to get the '80s wheel turning. I saw QR a few years ago and they still sound excellent. No offence, but I'll never be tired of Bang Your Head. Overall, I think their 2nd album was a bit better.

| ..............I JUST LOVE THIS GROUP.....
||Date: May 6, 2002 at 9:53|
|I JUST HATE THIS BAND ridicolous...I'm sorry if you love it....I watch 'em and start laughing..... no offense ihihhiihihih
||Date: May 6, 2002 at 10:14|
|I laugh at Quiet riot sometimes also SleazyMusic, but they still are the ones that brought Hard Rock/Metal/Hairband into the top 10 back in 83 by booting Michael Jackson. Give them a little credit
||Date: May 6, 2002 at 12:29|
|Also, you can't deny that this cd brings back some good memories for your youth. What kid didn't like Bang Your Head or Cum On Feel The Noize?
||Date: May 23, 2002 at 17:07|
|With their eponomyous effort, Quiet Riot reached the height of their commercial apex, circa 1983 with and unbeliveable onslaught of guitar and bass lines to keep you groovin all night , great vocals by Kevin and in my opinion Frankir Banali was one of the top 80's drummers of all time.
||Date: June 9, 2002 at 21:29|
|I wonder what it would be like to be in a band who will only be remembered for a great cover song? Cum on feel the noize.
||Date: June 20, 2002 at 16:47|
|My first tape. Definately a classic. Probably one of the most influental albums for hardrock/metal. This one really paved a way for this style of music to be accepted in mainstream.

|Unreal...... I go up north to a friends cabin this weekend for a quiet little get away and guess what happens..... Saturday night we went to Cross Lake MN and saw Quite Riot playing a show at a little hick bar! It's the 2nd time I have seen them and it was $12 bucks to get in. It was a good time but man, are they old. Nice belly, Kevin!

|We walked into the joint and nobody was on the dance floor. So, I went up by the stage and started 'rockin' out.' The next thing you know eveybody filled the dance floor. You could have put all those hicks in that bar together and you still wouldn't get a full set of teeth! The band must have been asking each other, 'Where in the hell are we?'
|From: Purrfect Kat
||Date: August 4, 2002 at 20:56|
|oh my god that was funny what you said about their teeth.....well I guess those tree huggers won't be needing a dentist anytime soon....lol
||Date: August 31, 2002 at 13:25|
|Does anyone know why Paul Shortino is back with these guys? He wasn't bad but Kevin sounds a whole lot better. The whole band sounded dull compared to the time I saw them 5 years ago. They stole the show. They should have headlined instead of Dokken. Don wasn't sharp and John Norum just wasn't my cup of tea.
||Date: September 1, 2002 at 18:43|
|What TIM? Paul Shortino is back with Quiet Riot? When the hell did this happen?
||Date: September 1, 2002 at 19:57|
|I just talked to Andrew McNeice of melodicrock.com and he told me that Paul Shortino only filled in for a few gigs for DuBrow. He's back now though.
||Date: September 2, 2002 at 0:26|
|Thank God he hasn't left. They didn't sound the same without him. Even Vince Neil sounded better minus the rest of the Crue.

|WHAT IS ALL THIS BICKERING? THIS IS METAL - THAT AINT METAL - WHAT IS METAL--I'LL TELL YOU WHAT METAL IS - ITS UP TO THE PERSON CALLING IT METAL. METAL IS NOT A FORM OF MUSIC- IT IS FEELING OR A MOOD. I COULD SEE A GREAT BOXING MATCH OR HOCKEY FIGHT WITH 2 GUYS PUMMELING EACH OTHER AND I WOULD SAY THAT IS METAL - OR A HOT NAKED CHICK WEARING NOTHIN BUT A SMILE AND SOME SEXY SHOES - THAT IS DEFINITELY METAL!!! AND FOR THE RECORD QUIET RIOT IS METAL- AND THAT IS A FACT CAUSE I SAY SO.

|One of the best hard rock efforts from the 80's. 'Metal Health' and 'Cum On Feel The Noize' are the obvious standouts but 'Breathless' and 'Slick Black Cadillac' rock. 'Love's A Bitch' is an awesome tune also. If you love 80's hard rock, you should have this.
||Date: February 15, 2003 at 16:15|
|THIS RECORD IS PART FROM MY LIFE AND MY HEART. I GREW WITH THIS ONE AND I'M A QUIET RIOT SINCE I WAS A CHILD. A MUST HAVE FOR EVERYBODY WHO WANTS TO UNDERSTAND WHAT'S ENERGY AND PARTY ATTITUDE IN MUSIC. QUALITY OVER ALL AND GREAT 80'S FEELING. METAL HEALH A VERY HEAVY METAL SONG IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITES. ALSO SLICK BLACK CADILLAC ONE OF THE BEST SONGS I'VE EVER HEARD OF AMERICAN ROCK MUSIC. QUIET RIOT WILL ALWAYS BE ONE OF THE SACRED BANDS OF MY LIFE. LONG LIVE TO THE IRON MASQUE!! LONG LIVE QR!!

|Just one hell of a jaw dropping solo on 'Cum On Feel The Noise'!!!!!
||Date: October 23, 2003 at 12:00|
|Wow! To be fourteen years old again............This album was really cool for the time it came out. A big commercial success,and loads of radio airplay. No, its not the greatest rock album of the time,but it held its own with those loud, pounding rock anthems and whailing guitars. While I would have to admit,it did not stand the test of time,it is in fact,good for the occasional trip down memory lane.
||Date: October 23, 2003 at 12:10|
|............and by the way I would have to classify their style as 80's hair metal,or hard rock. Heavy Metal to me back then would have been Iron Maiden, Judas Priest,or Black Sabbath!!!

|All I can say is...Excellent. Every song in this album simply kicks the shit out of your ass, except Thundebird. The Cumonfeelthenoise video(and I saw it back in 83) made me buy the record. I know they never had a single hit of their own (mamma weer all crazee now, Cumon feelthenoise...) but they took those songs another level. Long Live the Riot

|we all know this cd is one of the best cd's of all time.1st metal album to hit #1,and well,the rest is history.sorry for kevin bad mouthing everyone.i've been fortunate to be aquainted w/ frankie since 95.he's is exactly what i expectedne of the most down to earth & coolest guys ever.glad to know one of my drumming influences isn't a stuck up prick.too bad kevin started doing drugs again which lead to the recent breakup-again.they just released a cd/dvd and were in the black.

|This album reminds me of wasp's fk like a beast album,except this is much better. This album is pure heavy metal,not melodic metal in my opinion.Cum on feel the noize is probably the greatest metal anthem of all time and metal health is almost just as good. There is no doubt in my mind that this is the best metal album of all time.No comparison!No competition!Rating:10/10
||Date: May 28, 2004 at 4:33|
|I tried to listen to this CD a few days ago-and couldn't. This has not aged well. The production sounds dated and the songs simplistic in the extreme. The best track is a cover version (and IMO not as good) and the playing-well Carlos cavazo is hardly G.I.T. 'Loves A Bitch', 'Run For Cover' and 'Breathless' still sound ok, but the rest-uh uh. BTW Did WASP release an album called F**k like a beast? Is this the best Metal Album of all time-not even close.
||Date: May 28, 2004 at 4:45|
|To.Rockhead,Fk like a beast is wasp's first album.this is the album that made wasp the most 'evil' and 'sick' band to ever grace the earth.poison got the girls,motley got the sales but wasp got the name tag! Rockhead,you should try this album,its extremely good! And about metal health being the best metal album of all time,i might be wrong but thats my opinion anyway!peace..

|W.A.S.P's 1st album was called W.A.S.P and originally didn't even include Animal on the tracklisting. Animal was independantly released by MFN as a 12' single as Capitol would not release either the single or the album if the track was included. Animal was only later added to the remastered version along with Show No Mercy (original B Side) and Paint It Black (B Side of School Daze). Having followed W.A.S.P since their beginnings and having seen them many times I DO know this album.DO you?

|Good times indeed Blue. These types of album are as much about memories and the time as much as the actual music. I loved this when it came out. But unfortunately no more!! I am more bemused over the growth of hair Dubrow wears these days. He was almost bald when this album came out (LOL) Rug of the year along with Mark Reale

|So this is the album that helped make metal big. Too bad it had to be them instead of more deserving acts. Outside of the Slade cover and the title track, their is just a lot of average hair metal. Important for historical purpose more than quality. 5/10

|Dokken 6008, I agree wholeheartedly. The term Heavy metal was being tossed around by people like Sammy Hagar, and record stores tried to categorize and ended up screwing it up. This band was in your face but definitely hard rock. Rudy complemented these guys nicely. They could crank at any party, any time. Great piece of work.

Now listening this Classic album in the CD remastered edition with the bonus "Danger Zone" a very good track & "Slick Black Cadillac (live)", "Cum on Feel the Noize" was a very good song to me but not "The Song", maybe the hit for the most of people, personally my Super favs always and forever will be Metal Health (My Second fav), Breathless (The Song! My Total Number 1) Run For Cover (OMG I Love the style here) and of course Let's Get Crazy what a times! a part of my life! Classic! 90/100.

|Great album. My only complaint is of the closer Thunderbird which is a bit boring. Favourites are Breathless, Cum on Feel The Noize, Run For Cover and Metal Health. It has a raw edge to it, rather like Blizzard of Ozz and the singing is an acquired taste I think but it's still excellent once gotten into.
