|No offence guys, but I really hated this album.
||Date: June 1, 2002 at 6:30|
|It took a few spins but this cd really stuck to me after a while. They were about 5 years ahead of their time when they did this cd. It's too bad that they are best known for a ballad when they had so much talent and very good songwriting.
||Date: June 1, 2002 at 17:32|
|Well, I've never heard any of their other stuff, but this is fairly good, albeit a little too grungy for my tastes. They were limited by that ballad, but it is a great song.

|I don't know?........ I have a problem with albums that exceed FIFTEEN SONGS!!!!! Good God!
||Date: September 13, 2002 at 22:30|
|Despite the big hit, this album really rocks! Great voice to go w/ the lyrics, and a mean guitar to accompany it all. I would recommend this CD to anyone.

|I like the songs "Hostile Youth", "All Allright" and Love is on the way". ThunderDan, I have this on tape, do you know how I can Utilize procurement of the CD? I cant find it anywhere!

|These guys really had some song writing talent. These guys made some excellent ballads with some very strong song writing but could crank it up when needed. For a bunch of hard assed looking guys they were very good!!

|I don't like this album at all, but Jason Bieler is a really good guitar player.

|I think it sounds almost like alternative music. Maybe the year it was released...

|I don't know a whole lot about this album, but I must say 'Hostile Youth' is a pretty good song. I think that this band might have been a little ahead of the curve back in 1992. The guitar riffs fit well with todays heavier music, like Godsmack, and Disturbed.

|OH! sorry, how could I forget the song 'Body Bags'? Another hard hitter. This song reminds me of 'Slave To The Grind' (Skid Row). Check it out!
||Date: March 23, 2003 at 2:38|
|The song Body Bags was used in the movie Beyond The Law with Charlie Sheen. I wouldn't have remembered that except for the the fact that I just saw the movie again the other day and recognized the tune. Great movie as well!

|What the hell is this hybrid of hard metal & soft sing-along stuff?? Just dusted it off & gave it the first spin in years....Some catchy riffing but where does this fit in? Well, I can't really categorize it in my mind..Some grunge stuff on it too unfortunately...The only real highlight is "Love is on the Way" which is a rather good track actually...The rest is too damn confusing!

|Whenever I feel like 'going' alternative, without beeing as alternative as Porno For Pyros, Red Hot, and many of those weird bands, I listen to Saigon Kick. All their releases are good. This one has some good moments, but also some lameass moments. Especially the lame ballad Love Is On The Way....Uhhh it suxx.

|A great hard rock album. Every song on this album is memorable and well performed. This album has a few hits on it including the huge ballad Love is on the Way and the heavy song Hostile Youth. If you liked Skid Row's Slave to the Grind you'll this album.

|A great diverse hard rock album. Take the best of hair metal, alternative, and other rock genres and melds it into their own with great vocal harmonizing. "Love Is On The Way" was the big hit and not representative of the whole album. The song though, just like the album is great. 10/10
||Date: July 6, 2004 at 16:16|
| I agree with Great Dane Saigon Kick is mainly a hard rock band with an alternative touch. They make good music and this album is their most popular as it contains their smash hit ''Love is on the way''. There are some good moments all the way through and the guitar work is really interesting but at the end it suffers from many fillers and some really lows.
||Date: July 14, 2004 at 22:38|
|This is an excellent mixture of all the best parts of hair metal,funk metal,and alternative. It is put together in a way that just excites the senses. "Hostile Youth","Cruelty","God Of 42nd Street" and "Love Is On The Way" are pure genius with their tight playing and their textured layers. Great stuff!!

|Always loved "Love Is On The Way". What can I say? I am a sucker for the ballads.
||Date: September 1, 2004 at 22:44|
|'Freedom' is awesome melodic metal, 'Mrs Jones' is great commerical hard rock, 'All I want' is an excellent and very commercial balladic track and 'Love is on the way' is one of the best ballads of all time. Overall, another good album. Quite heavy in places...

|Excelente disco. "Love is on the way", "Freedom", "Hostile youth" o "All I want is you" son inmejorables, Jason Bieler está inmenso y el cantante y la base rítmica, entre 9 y 10. Lo dicho, éste, junto a su primer disco, de los mejor salido en la década pasada
||Date: November 15, 2004 at 6:01|
|Their best release although I love them all (including "Bastards" that you don't mention on this site). All the songs are great and some are very heavy in places; Hostile Youth and Body Bags for example. I personally love Hostile Youth, Feel the Same Way, Miss Jones, All Alright, All I want and God of 42nd Street. Fantastic.
||Date: July 2, 2005 at 12:52|
|WHY DIDN'T "FEEL THE SAME WAY" GET AIRPLAY THIS IS THE BEST TUNE ON THE CD IN MY OPINION. "LOVE IS ON THE WAY," AND "ALL I WANT" WHICH DID GET AIRPLAY. ARE GOOD ALSO. (7.5)

|I used to sing along with "Love Is On The Way" when I was little. Great songs on this album, my faves are "Feel The Same Way" "Peppermint Tribe" "All I Want" "All Alright" "Hostile Youth" and "Love Is On The Way". Saigon Kick kinda went downhill after Matt Kramer left them, though.
||Date: May 16, 2007 at 21:43|
|All I Want is better than Love Is On The Way. Peppermint Tribe was something decent and different at the same time.

|With their famous song "Love is on the way" the band tried a little effort to break through the masses but failed into anonymity or perhaps remained low profile.Anyway the album apart from the afformentioned song has "Freedom" and "Hostile Youth" wich are really cool and straight to your face hard rock tunes.As z4roxx said,this album is lot better than the "Water" one.7/10

|Saigon Kick's second disc picks up pretty much where the debut left off, although the riffs seem heavier, in a chuggy, downtuned way that you didn't often hear at the time. So in that way, I guess the band was ahead of its time. But of course, they got lumped in with the hair-bands, which was ridiculous. Anyway, "Hostile Youth" is one of my favorite songs by this band, but "Feel The Same Way," "Freedom," "Peppermint Tribe" and "All Alright" are good as well. What made this band interesting was that while the songs were very heavy ("Body Bags" sounds like something that could've been on Skid Row's Slave To The Grind, and some of the other riffs are almost Pantera/BLS-like), every song is balanced by very strong melodies and vocal harmonies. Three good, wistful ballads as well. The disc loses steam near the end, as 16 tracks (counting the instrumentals and the joke track "My Dog") is a few too many. My biggest gripe is with the silly English accents Matt sings in, which sounds almost as

|... almost as fake as BIllie Joe Armstrong's. There. Anyway, of all the bands we say could've ridden out the '90's (often just because we like the band personally and just wish it were so), Saigon Kick probably had the best shot. But they had a hit with a ballad ("Love Is On The Way" went to #12 in the U.S.), and they came out just before grunge hit, and they weren't from Seattle, so that pegged them as a hair-band, and they were doomed.
