The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Stryper CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.
EPs and CD-singles from Stryper are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

The cover art is poor but the cover versions are brilliant. While some people are not fans of cover albums, I am, and I have to say this is one of the best. The cover of Heaven and hell alone is worth the price. |

The cover art has a significant meaning of the good and evil in all of us. I thought it was cool. As far as the music goes, this is as good as you can ever ask for in a cover disc. The musicianship on this thing is beyond belief. The mix is stellar, the guitars are blistering, the rhythm section blasts out and the guys must have spent a TON of time getting all of the harmonies to sound brilliant. On top of that, their new tune, "God" is the heaviest new tune they've put out in a long, long time. 9/10 |

While I agree with you on the quality of the music, the song God is about the same heavyness as various tracks on Murder by pride, and is less heavy than many tracks on Reborn. |

I don´t need a cover album. Come on STRYPER make your own stuff. A cover only make sense if you change the song into another direction, transform a fast song into a ballad, or switch the style from country to hardrock. |

The best and only new song here is GOD |

Interesting song choices and of bands/artists to cover from a christian rock band. Underneath it all, Stryper wants to be known as rockers...at least it seems that way. |

Poor choice. If I were Stryper,I chose : Sweet = Fountain. Scorpions = Top Of The Bill. Black Sabbath = Trashed. UFO = Heaven's Gate. Kansas = Dust In The Wind. Deep Purple = Burn. KISS = I Want You. Ozzy Osbourne = Shot In The Dark. Iron Maiden = Killers. Judas Priest = Out In The Cold Van Halen = Panama. Led Zeppelin = Over the Hills and Far Away. |

Well if you are going to use these artists, these would be my picks: Sweet = Fox On The Run. Scorpions = Can’t Live Without You. Black Sabbath = Heaven and Hell, UFO = Too Hot To Handle, Kansas = Carry On, Deep Purple = Woman From Tokyo, KISS = Let Me Go, Rock 'N' Roll, Ozzy Osbourne = Flying High Again. Iron Maiden = Run To The Hills, Judas Priest = United, Van Halen = Jamie’s Cryin, Led Zeppelin = Kashmir. But hey these are just IMO. Everyone’s got their faves. BTW, to HH folks why no Judas Priest or Sabbath on the site?? |

They say a leopard can't change its spots, but I'm betting if you painted stripes on that leopard, some people might mistake it for a tiger. Well, Stryper doesn't exactly try to change the leopard's spots, so to speak, when it comes to covering these classic rock/metal songs, but they do Stryper-ize them enough so that they sound like, well, Stryper tunes. While an album of new material would have been preferable, the band gives it their all on this album, sounding wickedly tight and firing hot on all cylinders, so if you're looking to hear some old rock songs expertly reinterpeted, Stryper has you covered. |

Very interesting cover album by the best white metal band Stryper ...some of these songs are hard to believe that have been covered by them as some of these artists were or are stupidly and supposedly related with satan ...anyway i go with the ones of Scorpions,Black Sabbath,Kansas,Ozzy Osbourne,Iron Maiden,Judas Priest(this cover got me into this release as it was the first track i heard in advance)& Led Zeppelin...enjoyable...94/100 |
