The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Vain CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. EPs and CD-singles from Vain are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Maybe not quite as explosive as the debut but it's not far short. Running on Empty instantly tells you this is yet another great Vain album. So Free Now starts with a killer riff before it slows a little, it reminds me a bit of Icy from No Respect. Drag Me and Last Sin are a little slower but not your standard fare...they just have that unsettling feel that seperates Vain from the rest of the pack. So throughout loads of great riffs -Lie For Love and great songs -Cover Me make this indispensable

Vain don't record bad music and haven't started here. I haven't given this as much attention as it deserves, but it's another great one. There are elements here of EVERY previous Vain album from the cracking debut-esque hard rockers to the sultry ballads not disimilar to 'Fade'. This covers thier entire career and whilst not quite matching thier first 3 recordings (including 'All those strangers) this will not disappoint Vain fans at all. I think it's better than 'Fade' and solo. Brilliant stuff

I CAN'T BELIEVE THERE ISN'T MORE COMMENTS ON THIS CD. EASILY ONE OF MY FAVS OF THIS YEAR. RUNNING ON EMPTY IS THE BEST SONG OF 2005. WHILE I'LL ADMIT IT'S NOT AS CLASSIC AS NO RESPECT, IT'S STILL ONE OF THEIR BEST ALBUMS. I JUST HOPE THEY STICK AROUND LONG TO MAKE A FEW MORE CDS. FOR ANYONE READING THIS THAT HASN'T HEARD IT YET DON'T HESITATE TO BUY THIS ONE!

This album rocks!!! Davy sounds as good as ever. Can't wait to see these guys live some time. Recommend it to everyone.

Yet another fantastic release from Davy and the boys. As many have said, Vain pretty much can do no wrong. "Running on empty" kicks things off with "so free now" and "drag me" hitting you for a stunning opening for the album. It doesn't stop there as the quality runs all the way to the end. I agree with Geoff as far as the entire spectrum of their writing being covered on this on this one. Grab this ASAP.

Another fantastic record made by talented musicians...Don't waste your time comparing it to their previous releases. Buy it, lean back and enjoy the music.

I just don't get all the love for Vain. Yeah, the first album had a few decent tracks but ever since then, every release sounds so samey. There are no hooks in this one and after I listened to it, I couldn't remember any of the songs at all. All I could remember was Davy Vain's dreary, whiney vocals rushing round my head. Sorry, but this is dull to the nth power.
