Not aor in my opinion..More in the vein of Guns and roses..It's good..

From: TIM Date: May 31, 2002 at 23:24
I liked some of the tracks. A few were stale but this disc is worth picking up since it's not that expensive.

From: koogles Date: July 8, 2002 at 19:54
The Andy Garcia of glam bands. Not a lot of star quality but not unlikeable by virtue of its own mediocrity. Something to play in Denver when you're bored...

From: David Date: August 1, 2002 at 5:34
The song Lorraine is a total rip off of "Every Rose Has It's Thorn"

From: Purrfect Kat Date: August 3, 2002 at 0:00
This cd I don't know what to think of it....some songs come off as ok but others don't....Joker - Cool Deal is way better then this cd.

From: nitrodoll Date: August 27, 2002 at 10:13
now this is a cool cover ...great artwork...anyhow, the songs aren't bad either, i wonder what became of those guys..favorite tune: she wants vengeance...don't mess with a woman who's mad.. nitrodoll1974@hotmail.com

Late in the album, there are a couple tracks that could almost pass for TNT songs, "Change" being one of them. "Party For Your Life" has a huge hair metal chorus! This is a great CD- don't buy it and the joke's on you.

From: David Date: December 28, 2002 at 2:28
Hey, does anyone know anything about their other release "Cool Deal"? like what year did it come out? thanks

From: M. Allen Date: December 29, 2002 at 5:09
"Cool Deal," released in 1992 in Japan only, is far superior to the self-titled debut. One of the few expensive collector's pieces out there that's actually worth the high asking price.

From: TIM Date: December 29, 2002 at 17:47
Thanks M.Allen, I was wondering about that one. The S/T sure didn't do much for me.

From: CrimsonSkyy1 Date: January 23, 2003 at 22:20
Where can I get Joker's second album,The Japanese release?

From: CrimsonSkyy1 Date: January 23, 2003 at 22:21
If anyone knows where to get it email me please at CrimsonSkyy1@luxmail.com

From: Matt Date: March 26, 2003 at 3:23
Does anyone have any info on a 3rd album called "Ecstasy"...is it by the same band or is it a different band? Is it worth getting?

From: PauloFernandes Date: March 26, 2003 at 14:01
Hi Matt, the album you are talking about is by a different band, a portuguese band in fact , quite good and VERY hard to find, even here in Portugal, i really cant compare it with this band as i don't have any cd by the american Joker.

From: TIM Date: March 26, 2003 at 15:33
Hey Paulo, davesmetal usually has these for sale on Ebay for dirt cheap.

From: PauloFernandes Date: March 26, 2003 at 19:08
Hi Tim, thx for the tip, i have seen this around for quite cheap prices as you say, but its not on my "priority" list, maybe it should be

From: TIM Date: March 26, 2003 at 23:59
Paulo, I wasn't overwhelmed by this one. I haven't heard Cool Deal and I wonder if it is worth the hype.

From: Matt Date: March 27, 2003 at 3:34
I actually ordered this cd from davesmetal but he sent me the "other" Joker cd by mistake. I would still like to get this one, though. Who do these guys sound like?

This one just shocked me when I got it. Didn't dig the first two tracks too much and thought it'd just be your average hard rock CD, but then 'Lorraine' hit and blew me away, followed by the awesome 'Party for your Life', the killer hard rocker 'She Wants Vengeance' and 'Pledge an Allegiance' and the lovely 'Remember' and 'Change'. Yeah, overall these guys really make a killer of an album here with a bunch of stunning commercial hard rock tracks.

From: Chad Date: April 1, 2005 at 21:21
While Cool Deal is by far a better album, this one is worthy of a listen. Lorraine, I Want Love, Pledge an Allegience and Change are all good tunes. If you can't track down Cool Deal, this one is will hold you over until you can get your mitts on goods. Joker only scratched the surface with this one. It helped build the bridge to a brilliant second album.

From: z4roxx Date: April 4, 2005 at 9:38
Hey mate, you forget"Party for your life",I think it's the catchiest on this one,and one of my fave in general..Yeah,"cool deal"is another thing but this one is awesome, too.Joker will rule forever, what a band!!!!!

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: August 28, 2007 at 2:40
GOOD CD MIX of HAIR METAL/HARD ROCK/AOR 81/100 I agree with KOOGLES about the TNT/MASQUERADE influences on the song "change" good guitar work but prod. is a little weak !

From: zoomanthree Date: December 16, 2008 at 10:09
execelent released. great hardrock album. good guitar sound. 8/10

From: Delbert Date: January 3, 2010 at 12:15
This is the band's debut release, glam / hair metal with the familiar big guitars, hooks, choruses and vocals. All done up in the vein of WARRANT and SYRE. An enjoyable listen....

From: hair metal again Date: July 27, 2012 at 10:01
excellent hair metal release by JOKER back in a time when the hard rock music had exploded and everything seemed easy!there wont be another era like this and i suggest everybody explore it as much as possible!JOKER perform US commercial hard rock with rockers ,ballads and mid tempos !the songs are fine ,strong and full of hooks and the guitar work remarkable!the strongest part though is the whole feeling of the band ,music that comes straight from the heart!"change" and "party for your life" are fantastic songs!!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: July 28, 2012 at 21:07
A good album but shamely with a poor sound...obviously this has nothin' 2 do with the band's next effort "Cool Deal" of 1992 that is a killer album by all means..."Party For Your Life","She Wants Vengeance","Pledge Of Allegiance","Change"(AOR feel) & "Hey Salesman"(a real good rocking song!) are my faves from this record...86/100
