Some good rarities are finally here. Is this one overhyped or is it as good as claimed?

From: MButt Date: March 24, 2003 at 4:59
In my opinion, worth every penny you might pay for it! (unless it's the recent price of $280 on ebay) gotta be in my top 10 cd's. get it if you can find it, or afford it!

From: TIM Date: March 24, 2003 at 6:20
I can afford it but wasn't sure if I ought to go after it since I wasn't crazy about their other release. I need to pull that out again and see if I like it any better.

From: vforce Date: March 24, 2003 at 7:01
These guys are okay, but there is some better stuff out there. They're kind of like Wildside at times, even though I probably prefer Under The Influence really.

From: M. Allen Date: March 24, 2003 at 19:51
This one's a masterpiece and that's no joke. A big, loud blast of late 80s-style melodic hard rock that could be described as an incredible mixture of Keel, Kuni, and V2. As good as the debut was, this sophomore effort absolutely annihilates it; it's like the difference between a Filet-O-Fish sandwich at McDonald's and a lobster dinner at a five-star restaurant. Do whatever you must and pay whatever price necessary to add this gem to your collection.

From: BrianJ8173 Date: March 24, 2003 at 21:37
One of the best melodic sleaze cd's there is, not one filler, so good that I have 2 copies in case something happens to one. If you like the best of lillian Axe, and those type bands this is for you.

From: Studboy Date: March 28, 2003 at 14:09
TIM - This CD definitely kicks ass. It is a night and day comparison to their first album. One of my all time favorite albums. The $300 price tag on Ebay recently is definitly too high for me also, but it is defintely worth buying. 10 out of 10.

From: TIM Date: March 28, 2003 at 14:40
Thanks Studboy and to everyone else who recommended it. I'm sure it will be an improvement over the other release.

From: PauloFernandes Date: May 4, 2003 at 21:57
Awesome album (thx BrianJ) - There's a lot of Wildside under the influence on this cd, altough this one is more sleazy - great songs, great vocals - everything perfect

From: MATT ALLEN Date: June 2, 2003 at 6:55
I will have to say that this one of the better ones!! If anyone has a chance pick it up at any cost. You can relate to the songs! They all tell a story..Thank's JOKER for the great times!!

From: CrimsonSkyy1 Date: June 7, 2003 at 22:55
Both their Cds are worth the listen, but the little Willy cover was more awesome at one of their shows, the whole place got into it dancing and such, too bad they disbanded.

From: TheRipper Date: August 4, 2003 at 19:24
Better put your dukes up if you don't like this one! These guys basically come in and kick you ass on this one... Great release, too bad for the obscure release and timing, shoulda sold millions (especially compared to the usual shit that does sell millions)... Instead it's a hard-to-find little piece of Hard Rock history. Fans of Lancia, Warrant, and even Lillian Axe should dig this one! One of my favs, great stuff here, a 10.

From: TIM Date: August 4, 2003 at 19:39
More like an 8.5 in my book. Good stuff but not the best IMHO. Way better than their other release for sure.

From: TheRipper Date: August 4, 2003 at 19:50
Tim, what did I say about disagreeing with me again??? And Noize Toys is your favorite release of all time, right??? Good Boy!!! Haha!!!

From: PauloFernandes Date: September 19, 2003 at 10:18
If there's a cd thats 100% worth the 'big bucks' its this one - amazing album.

From: Mindcrime67 Date: November 20, 2003 at 21:56

From: Jimmy Date: December 15, 2003 at 20:38
There is a Third Joker CD, but it was never released. Songs: Beats Like Thunder, Be a Man, Way of the World, One and Only, You Go Down, The Other Side. After Joker three members formed The Burn which is way cooler. Two CD's worth of material never released.

From: Ali Rock Date: December 30, 2003 at 20:04
JImmy do know where you can get that cd. Maybe just as MP3.

From: Matt Allen Date: January 18, 2004 at 6:41

From: glamster Date: July 6, 2004 at 6:33
Fantastic Cd! In the style of Wildside, Lillian Axe, Warrant, etc etc, but it contains a stunning collection of melodic-sleazy songs! A must have, at any price. Good luck for your search, 'cause this one is really difficult to find (and to buy: very high prices!): try on e-bay.

From: Dean Date: July 6, 2004 at 19:10
Whiplash1972-have you heard this? Is is good as everyone says? There is no way I'm paying that kind of price for it but i think it's time to start trading.

From: Dean Date: July 6, 2004 at 19:20
Well after checking out the clips on Matt Allen's Joker site-a lot of it seemed pretty good but a one minute clip most of the time doesn't even get to the chorus let alone the solos so it's still pretty hard to get a good opinion of these guys other than it seems decent so far. The stuff from the 2nd disc def. blows away the first one.

i got this in cdr......a rare gem. the track 'mackinaw avenue' made me think of skid row'youth gone wild'

From: David Date: September 2, 2004 at 8:25
There is a copy on ebay now. GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!

From: Geoff Date: September 2, 2004 at 23:28
This is one definately worthy of the hype. The first two, are average, but from then on it's melodic heaven with a sleaze / glam twist. Picks are 3,5,7,8,9,10. Of special note are the lovely ballads - 'October wind' being the best, and 'Dry your eyes' a killer melodic track. Sorry, got to mention the fact that 'Mackinaw avenue' is a killer too. Awesome CD!

From: MARTINSANE Date: September 18, 2004 at 11:19
Recieved a cdr of this disc with 2 more tracks, Thats How It Is and Jane, Jane the Hurricane...(I think thats the titles) Does anyone know where these 2 songs came from? BTW this cd is a must have. Killer Dokkenish guitars.

From: jessica96fish Date: October 25, 2004 at 4:18

Simply AWESOME,one of my fave hard rock bands of ever but....3 years ago the guitarist(a guitar-hero,IMO)Nick Sikich asked me 50$to get a burned copy autographed by the band of this one.Fortunately I found it and now If he wants I can do him a cd-r with my autograph!ahahahahaha!!!Hey Nick, don't worry,I joke(r)!ahahahahahaha!!We are friends as before....Good luck with your actual band DRAGONFLYHALO.

From: Chad Date: April 1, 2005 at 21:16
Wow. All the hype. Such a hard disk to get ahold of and is it really worth it? Yes! Yes! Yes! This is such a good album. While it is hard to come by, it is worth the effort. 80's metal at its best! All the harmonies, great songs, great playing, great vocals, this one has it all for sure. I play it loud and I play it often. This one gets my stamp of approval, even if you have to pay the high bucks for it. It is certainly worth it. Great hard rock ala Warrant,American Angel and Dokken.

From: Ice CreamGirlz Date: January 1, 2006 at 13:11
Another TOP 10 title for me! This entire cd rocked...no joke about it! Songs three and ten are great ballads....this thing plain out smokes. This is one cd that is worth the big money. Straight up!

From: Axe Attack Date: January 17, 2006 at 21:10
This cd and their s/t cd are both excellent! I have copies of both, but if these were re-released, and one of them had their great two songs they did for the Bad Channels soundtrack for bonus tracks, I'd go out and buy them!! I also play them all the time on my weekly metal show!

My god, this IS that good! I had no idea... Good solid sleaze tinged hard rock, the Wildside comparisons are undeniable. mackinaw Avenue's probably my favorite from the first listen, but they're all good IMHO.

From: Buitre Date: November 28, 2007 at 7:38
A very good cd. Fresh 80's sleazy-glam rock. No fillers...I just don't understand what the instrumental song does in the middle of it (and I'm not saying that it's a bad song)Another band which could have made it, but like so many others they had no chance in the 90's.

From: grim reaper 73 Date: December 10, 2008 at 16:59
This CD (and the first one) really rocks. This band had the hooks, the looks and the songs to be huge. I think they released a cassette called 'Out of the box' in 1989 prior to the both CDs. There are some demos collected on 'The white demos CD' which sounds really good if you listen to them on the tribute site at Myspace. If anybody has these demos I'm very intereted to know how to get a hold of them.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: October 9, 2010 at 20:05
Awesome album!!! !!!...highly recommended one !!!...solid songs..the type of albums that basically you enjoy from head to toe...'Stand Up,Shout It Out' what a way 2 start the album, one with a strong backing chorus,'Little Willy' a cover of The Sweets ,'Little Bit Of Heaven' is a ballad ala Poison,'To The Bone' is an excellent one too,'Don't Turn Away' is AOR influenced song, definetely a highlight,'Stealth' is a killer instrumental!!!,'Dry Your Eyes' is another AOR song, excellent,'October Wind' another blasting ballad,'Mackinaw Avenue' a goodie,'Love Keeps' nice & 'Rock Tonight' guess what?,rocks!...perfect album, almost a 100...98/100

From: hair metal again Date: August 27, 2015 at 3:51
superb release by a fantastic band!these guys in their best moments are breathtaking !their sound is a blend of XYZ,TESLA &VALENTINE ...wow!in a time when hair metal ruled the planet ,JOKER are a fine example of how many good bands were on that movement in the States!i believe that this was the golden era of the hard rock genre and it cannot happen again in a such massive and excellent way!there you go with JOKER delivering it with songs like"dry your eyes","october wind","love keeps","don t turn away" and "stand up ,shout it out"!!!!awesome
