My first ever Lp from those days. Not their best album, but Starin' Eyes and Longing For You are the finest moments

I first heard and saw Bonfire when they were special guest of the Zztop afterburner tour back in 1986. great German live band that sing in English, and a great LP. Lost interest later on. Do they still exist?

Good debut by this german band. Songs are really straightforward and simple but still rocks in a cool way. However, their songwriting skills defenitely got better after this one.

ONE OF THE BEST 80S METAL ALBUMS OF ALL TIME!! Bonfire exploded onto the 80s scene with this unbelievable collection of quality tracks. This album has it all: soaring anthems, superb power ballads, kick ass guitar licks, catchy hooks, big choruses, great vocals, solid rhythm section, etc, etc. The title track and 'You Make Me Feel' are 2 of the best of all time! Their defining moment in my opinion (Fire Works is real close). As far as 80s melodichard rock goes NOBODY CAN TOUCH BONFIRE!!

This isn't the best album ever... but to be honest I think they did well. A lot of brilliant European bands started like this, with a decent debut of friendly hard rock tracks, and then, with later releases, proceeded to blast the living shit out of the listening public with their brilliance. So one can safely consider this a nice entree. Good solid hard rock release.

One of the best melodic HR bands ever, but this debut CD ain't nothin' special. Actually, this is the only studio album by them that I don't own, as there just aren't enough killer songs worth repeat spins. Thankfully, the band knocked it out of the park on their next release and continued from there, delivering one brilliant album after another. So, in summary, this band is a must-own, but this album isn't. Get the rest of their discography if you want to set your speakers on fire...

This CD is full of good hard rockin' melodic songs. Production is not as good as their next two releases Fireworks & Point Blank. CD is a good one never-the-less.

This is a very solid debut by one of melodic rocks finest bands, but it is not there best. It does have some really good songs on it, such as 'Starin' Eyes', 'You Make Me Feel', and 'No More'. It also contains my favourite Bonfire song of all time 'S.D.I'. Worth the price of the disc alone, but lets be honest. 'Starin' Eyes' and 'Longing For You' are Cacumen leftovers, there are only nine tracks on the disc and one of them is an intro. While you do need this one, get the essential stuff first.

very good debut by BONFIRE,raw and melodic at the same time.you can feel that these guys really have a special talent in writing melodic hard rock songs with big choruses.listen to "dont touch the light " and "SDI" and you ll understand what i mean.the guitars are surely hans ziller sound and the production straight and raw.overall a good album that get us ready for the next 2 or 3 masterpieces

Acceptable debut album...to be honest quite simple...the best was yet to come for Bonfire after this release..."Starin' Eyes" rocks good,"Hot To Rock" catchy track,"Longing For You" sounds ala Scorpions type of ballads,"Don't Touch The Light" a goodie one,"No More" another "hype" track and the best one IMHO is the one that closes the album "L.A."...is amazing how big they became after releasing their enormous album "Fireworks"...still gets a pretty nice rate,89/100.

It's a shame that "LA", which seems to be the best song, is missing on the common CD version of this album, or at least the CD I once owned. I sold this because I grew tired of it, but listening now its actually not that bad. 7.5/10

i love all the songs of this ep.i am a big fan of this band.i am sensible to their little southern influence.not on this ep but after .they cover many years later "sweet home alabama" from the legendary lynyrd skynyrd.really bonfire is a great band.

i can add to my last comment that the 2009 yesterrock record is interesting cause the sound and the remaster are absoluty perfect.but...the seven bonus tracks live have a bootlegg sound for make short :the sound is rotten.that s regrettable cause the two new songs track 15"you are my destiny" and track 16 "bad widow" are really excellent.
