Aug. 20, 2025: Temporary Message Board ClosureThe company hosting the message board sprung a surprise price hike on me that would have more than tripled the monthly hosting costs, so I've been scrambling to find an alternative. I've purchased a license for self-hosting a different platform and am hiring a consultant to migrate the existing board's content (posts, user profiles, etc.). However, this means I need to shut down the message board for anywhere from 3 days to (hopefully less than) a week so the data can be migrated. While this is an expensive proposition up front, it should result in some long-term savings. The current message board will be closed down at some point this Saturday, August 23. I will post updates here. The main site (where you are reading this), will NOT be affected. -Dan |

Self produced and released by this Kansas City band on their own label this has been one of my favorite indies...By all means, never; ever; try to judge a CD (or book) by it's cover........this CD has a truly mundane looking cover that would never attract much attention. But inside......you get killer guitar licks EVERYWHERE with some exceptional drumming and the keyboards, for the most part, pushed back in the mix. Basically, it is a melodic rock masterpiece. I can hear hints of RUSH and early TRIUMPH here and there, but, the strongest musical comparison I hear is early VANADIUM with the Pino Scotto style vocals saturating the entire album. Now I'm sure these guys probably never heard of VANADIUM when this was recorded, but if you are fan of any of the above bands, and especially early VANADIUM, you'll be pleased with this one. There are two ballads here and the remaining 11 tracks are all excellent uptempo melodic hard rockers with no filler...... |

AOR? Nope! Good HardRock/Metal indeed. Killer voice, many Heavy killer riffs. My favorite tracks are "The Midnight Sun" "Runnin' Wild" and the melodic "Falling in Love"(reminded me something of the Skid Row ballad "I Remember You"). 777 ![]() |
