| Randy Rhoads swan song. There is something special about the first two Ozzy albums that was never recaptured again. The title track is nothing short of genious. Just as classic as his debut!!

| It is a shame that Randy is not with us anymore. We were blessed with some of his work before he left. Randy & Ozzy worked great together.

| This album just blew me away!Randy is just smokin'!I love "over the mountain" a perfect song both in its construction and Randy's playing-but for me the best part is Ozzy's philisophical spirit flowing lyrics, this gave me inspiration for life in High school and still does today.As you know the entire album was and is the paradigm for excellent metal music.Never again would Ozzy attain the heights of this album (and Blizzard)The rest of Ozzy's albums are good to mediocre (and perhaps tragic)

| That ain't Sarzo & Aldridge playing on this thing; it's Daisley & Kerslake, who weren't given credit or royalties for their work... Again, avoid the Trujillo & Bordin versions of this album, which was re-recorded out of spite to get even with Daisley & Kerslake for having the balls to stand up for their rights ... What an insult to Randy Rhoads, who recorded the original; the very idea of bringing in two people he never even met to re-record the parts of two of his friends is shameful...

| great second album by ozzy proving blizzard of oz wasnt a fluke pity this was randys last album. every song on here rocks and also you got the great ballad tonight

| I don't think we can stress this enough... avoid the re-recorded versions of Blizzard and Diary at all costs. The originals are so influential and really are staples of classic hard rock music. Whomever decided that the bass and drums be re-recorded lie this should be taken out back and shot with a large calibre handcannon.

| ...everyone who writes gets a certain up front percentage of the songs,rather than future royalties.you can also thank sharon for that.how selfish.let's not forget the ozzy we know-before "the osbournes".pissing on the alamo,snorting ants,biting off the bats head,etc...i respect sharon's management skills,but how much money do you need? by the way,i knew the kid who shot himself.he had personal problems.it had nothing to do with ozzy.damn that tipper gore! r.i.p. daniel.

| Hats off to Randy, Lee, & Bob for making this magical moment happen. Screw Ozzy for messing with those gentlemen's core integrity. This lp would've been so much better if say, Rob Halford or Geoff Tate were the vocalist so count your blessings, FatOzz! Those of you who love a good chemistry of bass & drums need check out the "Live! January '73" cd by Uriah Heep but get the version with the R&R medly at the end. It features Lee on drums & Gary Thain on bass (RIP). Lee's solo in "Gypsy" is HOT!!!

| I dont know what the last reviewer is talking about, ozzy has proven that he is a great songwriter and its stupid to say this album would have been better with other vocalists, duh this album wouldnt have been created without ozzy osbourne, yes randy rhoads has alot to be given credit for, but without ozz you wouldnt have many of the great metal tracks of the 70s and 80s, he hasnt been as consistent in his last few releases but ozzy has a song list that most artists would die for,ozz is a legend

| IMO this album is worth the price alone simply for the title track...saw Ozzy in Charlotte N.C. once and he opened with the song Diary of a Madman. The rest of the show was just the same old standards that have been played into the ground. But opening with that song made the show very special for me as a long-time Ozzy fan. That Charlotte show was the 1st time Ozzy had played that song since the original tour for the album. This is indeed a CLASSIC album in every sense of the word. Vital!

| I can't believe Ozzy had all the bass and drum parts redone for the 2002 reissue. Luckily I managed to track down the originals for the first three albums. Anyway, a fine release on a par with the first album.

| great album i have the original for this one and plan to do so with blizzard over the mountain,flying high again,you can't kill rock and roll,sato and the title track are dead set gems when randy left us he left in style i think the first album is slightly better though

| The second masterpiece of the Madman. The thing with the re-recording of the bass & drums is a shame as I consider Ozzy's two first recordings as historical icons of the metal genre. I have the originals and will stick to them but, if I'm very honest, sooner or later I'll get my hands on the copy cats just to see what the Madman has done. This will be my own little experiment Haha. By the way, another 100/100

| Never fear, dude, the original tracks have been restored on the most recent reissues (2010?) Ozzy claimed he didn't know about Sharon having his then-current bandmates redo the rhythm tracks back in '02, and maybe he didn't. When you do check out the doctored versions, I think you'll be dismayed. Not just because fooling with the originals is sacrilege, but because it just sounded weird and wrong. "Flyin' High Again" sounded like it had been slowed own, and the bass on "Over The Mountain" was very loud and sounded out of tune.

| You could make the argument (and many do) that the Randy Rhoads albums are the only truly essential Ozzy discs. So here's the other one, and in some ways, I like it a little better than Blizzard Of Ozz. The production sounds bigger and better to me, and there aren't any dud tracks like "No Bone Movies" (really, a song about the evils of porn?) from the last album. Some complain the album was "rushed," and Randy had said as much at the time, but I don't notice it so much. "Flying High Again" is the definitive single (and surprisingly the only song that would actually seem to glorify drug use), but the tiltl track is the ultimate Ozzy epic. Together, these two albums dominated the pre-glam landscape of the early '80's.

A good follower of the "madman" debut...an album that contains some of Ozzy's hymns in the shape of "Over The Mountain","Flying High Again","Believer"(powerful song!)& "Diary Of A Madman"...a short album in lenght but long in greatest songs!!!...87/100

When I was in college I would crank "Flying High Again" to 11; the whole floor would shake. My fellow dorm mates soon became believers.

| fantastic release by the mighty OZZY OSBOURNE in the early 80 s and surely a classic of the heavy rock scene!Randy shines here and this is maybe his best work!the songwriting is of the highest level and the production by Max Norman as "live" as it can gets!"over the mountain","diary of a madman","flying high again" and "tonight" are amazing songs indeed!essential

| Super classic second album from the Blizzard oof Oz band: if the first one has more classics, this one has the best deeper cuts. Mandatory listen for classic 80's hard rock! Of course, Sarzo and Aldridge don't play a single note on the album, as it's clearly the rhythm section of Daisley/Kerslake at work here.
