nitro called it a day way too soon. very talented musicians and a very talented vocalist. I WISH THEY REUN-NITRO. tomcat@dolfijn.nl

From: bob Date: April 16, 2001 at 20:26
i miss you guys you are the best

From: Motley Date: July 31, 2001 at 8:08
A better production and better songs and as usually JIM does the best work here. LOVE HIS VOICE!!!!!!!and the CAT SCRATCH FEVER VIDEO is sooooooo totally great! But who the hell is that drummer?!?!?!?!?!?!?

From: tomcat Date: August 7, 2001 at 9:06
hey motley, that drummer was a bodybuilding mohawkwrestler. haha cheerz mate nitro rules check out 'gunning for glory' with unreleased nitro tracks.

From: Don Date: October 30, 2001 at 15:45
Better than the debut but still totally awful. Both Gillette and Angelo are totally overrated, and are nowhere near as good as they each THINK they are.

From: T-BONE Date: October 31, 2001 at 8:40
The vocals are not as overproduced as the first cd, but are still too damn high pitched. Angelo again doing some incredible guitar work. Pretty decent cover of Cat Scratch Fever. Tracks 3 and 10 are pretty decent vocals, but the other songs start screaming again. It would be fine if he were the fat lady in the opera.

From: Jaycee Iroc Date: November 6, 2001 at 0:23
This 2nd cd sucks compared to the 1st one!!! Where the hell is the screaming and ridiculously fast solos while the drums are playing too loud??? I expected more ridiculous shit out of nitro than this!! this cd gets a ZERO in my book. O.F.R.!! FIGHT FIGHT!!!!

From: modest Date: February 4, 2002 at 11:06
this is so over the top that its on top... the greatest act ever

From: Motley Date: April 9, 2002 at 2:05
Love love love teh cd. As many out there hate it, makes it even better. Jim Gilette should get an Oscar for screams of first degrees and Angelo, damn you are copperfield on guitar (beside Eddie Van halen off course) A cult band that never got the succes they deserved.

From: dokken6008 Date: April 27, 2002 at 4:03
Don is full of shit--no-one has ever done as incredible guitar soloing as Michael Angelo has--EVER. Don't insult the master. Angelo turns all of the other glam/80's guitarists into his own little puppy dog bitches. Michael Angelo: "Who's your daddy?! Who's your daddy now, bitch!!?!!" George Lynch: "You are, Michael Angelo, YOU ARE!!" I rest my case.

From: dokken6008 Date: June 1, 2002 at 23:04
"Hot Women Doing Wild Shit"? By any chance is that what the acronym H.W.D.W.S. stands for? Curious...

From: Desslar Date: June 3, 2002 at 16:14
No, it actually stands for "Hot, Wet, Dripping With Sweat". God I'm embarrassed to know that. If this album sounds anything like the first - it sucks!!

From: Reno Date: June 3, 2002 at 16:29
Actually Desslar, this cd does for the most part sound like the first. Tracks 2,3, and 10 are pretty good, but like T-BONE said, he starts in with the screaming again on the rest of the songs. Musically, these guys are pretty good, but Jim Gilette ruins it with the "someone's got my balls in a vice" vocals. Scavange the bargin bins for it, but don't go out of your way.

From: Jeremy Date: July 26, 2002 at 12:03
Yeah, i picked up a copy of the O.F.R. cd and listened to it all the way through. I have never heard anything like it. I don't know if they were being serious or what, but that music kept my head banging and kept my vocals in tune. Now i am doing covers of Freight Train, Machine Gun Eddie, Double Trouble and of course O.F.R. I wish there was another band like them. It sucks that they called it quits because i became a huge fan. I can't find a copy of H. W. D. W. S. and ibet it is good too.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah pure magic is what you hear on this disc...what a voice, what a guitarplayer... nitrodoll1974@hotmail.com guys contact me....please

From: fretboardfrenzy Date: September 8, 2002 at 11:40
michael angelo is very talented guitarist! this band is nice glam parody from talented musicians. nitro is a unique band. but jim gillete's high pitched-out of tune vocals very bad sometimes sorry sad but true but, guitar parts always melodic n violent, excellent

From: Van Alan Date: September 14, 2002 at 22:56
Toned down from the first CD. I like both discs, but I actually like this one better. O.F.R. has one or two bad songs, and this one had a few stinkers also, but a good hard rock disc all-around.

From: nitrodoll Date: October 16, 2002 at 23:16
once again, it doesn't get any better than this...one of the only records i listen to once a week...why? this album has a certain attraction towards me... love this album to death... nitrodoll1974@hotmail.com

From: firebombtelecom Date: November 14, 2002 at 9:17
i only have one album that i listen to every month or so and it's this one: if you don't like this album you're not cool... over and out jim gillette must come back to hunt down all the shitty rock vocalists out there...

From: nitrodoll Date: December 21, 2002 at 11:19
yeah, jim gillette and michael angelo are back in the studio to record some new songs. www.angelo.com now that's something to look out for...

From: tomcat777 Date: January 16, 2003 at 15:18
Jim Gillette and Michael Angelo are recording a new CD together. It will be the first new disc by them since the "Nitro" CD "Hot, Wet, Drippin' with Sweat". Craig "KC" Kasin from the original "Nitro" will be playing Drums on the new album. Jim and Michael have written more than a dozen great songs in the last few months with more on the way. They are calling the band "Crave". "We have always been a prolific song writing team and Jim is singing better than ever" quotes Michael. The new CD promise

wait a minute - did someon named jeremy a ways back say he sings covers of nitro sons? i believe you man, i really do. i cover machine gun eddy myself, except i sing 3 octives higher and hold the first note twice as long as jim g. do you believe me as well? good. now about the second album. got it for a buck at a thrift store a few years back, listned to it once, and never again. i still am holding onto it though cause its nitro. i will probably never listen to it though.

From: suckmyclock Date: April 7, 2003 at 21:27
dokken6008 said: Michael Angelo: "Who's your daddy?! Who's your daddy now, bitch!!?!!" George Lynch: "You are, Michael Angelo, YOU ARE!!" ok. question: although Angelo's technique is by far superior to Lynch's, don't you prefer an album like "Wicked Sensation" over this Nitro tasteless crap?

From: scott Date: May 15, 2003 at 1:30
This CD is not NEARLY as good as the first one.

From: Metal T Date: August 6, 2003 at 14:15
This Jim Gillette has great range of vocals, but the attitude is forced and after several minutes of high pitched nonsense, you'll be ready to delete the vocals and just sit back and listen to Angelo shred, though i get sick of his show-off crap.

From: Metal T Date: October 3, 2003 at 22:21
Singing : Hot,Wet Drippin' Sweat! Hot,Wet Drippin' Sweat !--C'mon ... along with Grunge, this brand of sissy garbage helped to once again drive real metal underground,--Death To False Metal !!!

From: Gar Date: October 26, 2003 at 20:53
Although Michael Angelo is a great guitarist and Jim Gillette can really hit those high notes, Nitro have to be the cheesiest hair band ever. This cd sounds totally dated today, as opposed to some really great albums of the same genre that were released the same year. However, despite a couple of embarassing songs on this disc, this one is pretty decent. I can't see it being anybody's all time favorite disc, but there are a few bright moments scattered throughout.

From: Carmine Rose Date: February 22, 2004 at 20:31
Jim Gillette is now in a band called Organ Donor, Jim mentioned them in his Metal Sludge review.

From: Punis Kintae Date: March 28, 2004 at 2:06
Jim was the original singer in Tuff. I have an early demo--he's awful. Micheal is a good guitarist but is no match for CC Deville--that guy roxx yo ass, mofo! I also loved the lumpia, ask Nitro about that sheet!

From: Blue Tequila Date: April 4, 2004 at 19:05
Whoa--what happened on their second release? The first album was excess to the extreme, and even though A LOT of people couldn't stand it, that's what made it stand out from the pack. This one is so toned down that it now sounds like any other 80's glam band. There are a few good songs here but for the most part it seems like they were just going through the motions. Jaycee Iroc said it best "Where the hell is the screaming and ridiculously fast solos while the drums are playing too loud???"

From: MARK EARLE Date: May 7, 2004 at 13:34
This is a master peice! Dont Go is a gem.. if i had 1 wish it would be that u guys get 2geta again.. JIM GILLETTE has an amazing voice.. all my friends down here in AUSTRALIA love this band. 10/10

From: John Date: May 26, 2004 at 5:33
Did someone mention C.C. DeVille in the same sentence with Michael Angelo as a guitarist? That borders on heresy! Like O.F.R., this CD shouldn't be taken too seriously, but it's a heck of a lot of fun to listen to.

From: dokken6008 Date: August 9, 2004 at 23:12
clock-- I prefer the Nitro cds to any of Georgie's ridiculous solo recordings. (Or 'Shadowlife' for that matter. The ONLY Dokken cd which I ever got rid of & sold on eGay--er, eBay.) P.S. Sorry for responding over a year late. *winces*

From: perillan Date: September 17, 2004 at 9:22
Michael Angelo toca muy rápido y... por lo demás...pues...sucks!!

From: Dean Date: September 17, 2004 at 11:14
Perillan sucks rapido

From: Joey D Date: September 20, 2004 at 21:01
I wish they come back. A lot of bands need to learn from them. Take care guys.

From: Azza Date: October 15, 2004 at 16:54
Hahaha good lord, Jim Gillette out of tune? This is idiocy, he's perhaps the best vocalist ever...6+ Octaves takes a very talented singer. And to the person who made out CC Deville is better than Michael Angelo, you must be having a laugh,...Poison were cool but not exactly the height of talent. Michael Angelo has to be one of, if not the best guitarist ever, hes a musical genius. I don't know how anyone can even say Nitro were cheesey, they were a group of talented musicians. OFR was extreme, H

From: Azza Date: October 15, 2004 at 16:55
*continued* HWDWS was slightly toned down but its still awesome! the vocal/guitar melodys blow me away everytime.

From: raven Date: October 24, 2004 at 15:44
NITRO is an awesome group that just deserved a better chance for the world to hear their sound. C'mon Jim and Angelo, re-unite for one more tour. The fans want you back!!! You guys ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From: C.J. Scheck Date: December 21, 2004 at 19:16
C.C. I love him!! BUT HE IS NOT in the same ball park as Michael!! If ANYONE has the TUFF demo with Jim on vocals PLEASE write me at: saltydog419@webtv.net.

From: Geoff Date: December 28, 2004 at 3:31
This is "better" than the debut, but then again being shot is probably better than being set alight. Here I did listen to 'Don't go' and 'Crazy love' before I sold it - all the while knowing full well how ridiculous they were, but being able to listen. Once I got rid of the CD I said a prayer of thanks that night and smile daily knowing I never have to hear it again. The worst lyrics ever written, the worst voice ever recorded and just a pathetic CD, IMO.

From: Azza Date: February 20, 2005 at 17:30
Geoff Nitro were one very talented band, and I admit that the lyrics wern't too great but the fact of the matter is, Jim Gillette has got one hell of a set of pipes and perhaps the most powerful voice in metal ever and Michael Angelo is easily the best guitarist on the planet, Yngwie is his only match.

From: fretboardfrenzy Date: March 4, 2005 at 11:32
azza u must be deaf n blind jim is ok vocalist n he is very cool at some songs like ''don't go'', ''crazy love''. i'm a big m. angelo fan, since 1991... he is amazing musician n guitar talent. but not best! i'm completely against 'GUITARIST vs. GUITARIST' crap. we need every unique sounded n styled guitarists n musicians. listen to allan holdsworth, shawn lane, wayne krantz, joe pass, ron thal, brett garsed, frank gambale, steve morse. hear the music pal ! speed not means everything!

From: Azza Date: May 1, 2005 at 11:04
I didn't say anything about Michaels sheer speed...I just think he is a magnificent guitarist and is personally my fave guitarist to listen to. If you like Ron Thal then you should check out Mattias Eklundh if you haven't already, both have very unique styles.

From: metal_militia Date: December 23, 2005 at 16:28
anyone who says this is a bad album should have their hair shaved off, because they are not worthy of listing to true metal such as this. Both the Nitro albums have are awesome, Michael Angelo is an amazing guitar player (I won’t go into the best in the world, because surly any really good guitarist can play almost anything anyway). And Jim Gillette has an amazing voice and is a very talented singer. Bass and drums aren’t very impressive though, this is still an awesome album. so was the O.F.R

From: rick kerch vzla Date: May 11, 2010 at 19:06
Very good release and incredibly no more comments since 2005???!!!!..well Michael Angelo Batio is a very talented guitar player 4 sure and Jim Gillette does a great vocal work.both showed their skills in here..Carter and Thunder did well too.."I Want U" is a highlight,"Cat Scratch Fever" a very good cover from Ted Nugent,"Hot Wet Drippin' With Sweat" is an explosive song,"Turnin' Me On" is another goodie,"Don't Go" is a cool ballad,a highlight of the album,"Makin' Love" keeps the fire up and so does "Take Me".."Hey Mike" is a killer guitar track courtesy of Michael..an album that surely rocks!.84/100

From: metalmaniac777 Date: February 18, 2011 at 14:12
OK, credit where credit is due, Angelo plays his guitar like the high-octane maestro that he is. As for the rest of the CD? Well, since the band seems to like acronyms, here's one for you: S.U.C.K.S.

From: hair metal again Date: November 27, 2014 at 2:03
excellent release by NITRO doin the hair metal thing by their own unique way!the musicianship and the vocals are excellent and this one reminds me of a high octane-electro version of PRETTY BOY FLOYD s debut maybe!all the songs are pretty good and especially "crazy love" and "boyz will b boyz" !when i first listened to it back in the day couldnt see how good it is!
