From: Altay Date: May 24, 2002 at 10:24
this is smt. that duff always wanted to,i appreciate it besides it's ok.you can listen some other artists on this one (such as old skid crew, jeff beck, lenny kravitz...)check this out

From: Desslar Date: May 28, 2002 at 15:55
I'll give him credit for experimenting with different styles, but there really isn't much worth listening to here, and he's not much of a vocalist.

From: The Frost Date: May 29, 2002 at 19:47
Look, You have to under stand Duffy! What he was raised on and what he played in Guns N Roses and than give him the respect that he deserves and appreciate what he has made for HIM SELF on this album. Just leave your little school girl additudes behind and give thanks that our boy Duffy dosen't stray to fare from home! He could be doing some shit like NSYNC or The Pet Shop Boys, GET IT? I like his stuff cause I was raised with respect and as long as he's playing ROCK N' ROLL well, HATS OFF!!!

From: The Frost Date: May 29, 2002 at 19:49
Did I mention this CD is GREAT!!! And DESSLER BLOWS!!!!

From: jason Date: May 30, 2002 at 18:08
You have to be joking, right? "Believe In Me"......Duff....I believe that you are stupid! I wouldn't buy this CD with your money. Duff should have stayed with GnR just like the other guys who quit the band. Guns 'n' Roses were a great band and they f##ked that all up. Nice going, JACKASS!!!

From: The Frost Date: May 31, 2002 at 0:12
You got something to say? Say it to my face. I'am so sick of you guys that say, Duff's out of place. I come around and all you guys run away. All the shit you say dosen't mean dick to me and that goes for all you punks like jason that want to start shit by submitting shit instead of respect and that means you dessler at (dhcp-156-56.indiana.edu). What you pissed off cause your dads get more pussy than you? Get into the ring mother f***er and I'll kick your bitchy little ass, PUNKS!!! Quote GnR!

From: The Frost Date: May 31, 2002 at 0:30
Like how I took Duff's song and Guns N' Roses song to make that comment? Hay, you guys are so funny it cracks me up, the way you all try to play hard ball and shit!!! I bet if we all got to gether (Every one on this site, that is. ) We would have one of the biggest most rightous party's on our hands or the most f***in lethal mush pit ever!!! This sit is the SHIT!!!

From: jason Date: May 31, 2002 at 12:35
Hey Frosty, I guess my point was that I am bumbed out that GnR broke up the main act (Izzy, Duff, Slash, ect.) Axl and the rest of these guys were on top of the world! Then they let it all fall apart. Maybe if Guns & Roses stayed together, then maybe they could have minimized the "grunge movement"? It's not all their falt though........Metallica stuck their heads in the sand for about 7 years, in the 1990's. Rock & roll needed these bands and they didn't show their faces. Piss me off!

From: tomcat Date: June 20, 2002 at 8:19
ah hell, duff rules... tomcat@dolfijn.nl

From: TOBAH Date: July 18, 2002 at 0:34
"Trouble" is the best song, the only problem is that is too short.

From: Harley Date: December 20, 2002 at 15:58
Hey jason...Duff did a fine job on this cd. The break up of GN'R was not Duff's fault. If you want to cut someone down and blame someone...Blame it on Axl Rose for breaking the band up and as for Duff being a JACKASS...why don't you take a look in the mirror before passing judgement on someone.

From: hitman11152001@ Date: January 8, 2003 at 21:16
duff is a god so if u dont like it than you can go to hell. i have the cd and its the best cd i have ithink.

From: Ellis Date: May 21, 2003 at 14:01
I can't believe how someone can say that Duff is Jackass!!!Duff is wonderfull and hot man and I love His songs! And it's not Duff's fault iff Guns n' Roses broke...That was Axl's fault becouse HI IS Jackass!

From: matt Date: August 8, 2003 at 10:18
album is great. the type of music duff likes. as for everyone with the guns n roses breaking up. how about slash and duff were in the band until around '97 but since the were tired of the slow album making process the took hiatus. no one is actually out of guns n roses except the fact the don't like the music axl is making so they don't wanna be in it. slash, duff and matt sorum have a new band though with stone temple pilots singer called velvet revolver.

From: Don Date: December 18, 2003 at 1:19
As a bass player, I am a big admirer of Duff . . . he always plays an interesting bass line without overpowering the song. HOWEVER, sorry folks, this CD is terrible.

From: Jess n' K Date: February 3, 2004 at 11:35
ok, all you bitchin fucks need to shut the hell up!!! Duff is great no matter what. He is so freakin hott and sexy!!! He is an awesome musician and you guys are only dissin him cause you're mad that you can't even measure up to his mama!!!!!!!!!!You guys need to get your shit together and look at the cd in at a different angle, maybe you'll get somethin out of it. If you don't then you have no idea what music is about, or what he was trying to express in this cd!

From: Reno Date: February 4, 2004 at 7:33
And we think you need to stay away from that crack pipe

From: Pete Date: February 18, 2004 at 8:52
Yeh. I have to buy it, but I agree with Don. As a bass player, he does have GREAT lines and he doesn't overpower anything. I've been looking for this album for a while, and just can't seem to find it in my local record stores. This site has really helped my decision to buy the CD.

From: Pete Date: February 18, 2004 at 8:54
By the way, I'm 14 & have liked Guns N' Roses since I was 9 years old. Duff inspired me to play the bass, so even if I don't like the album after I buy it, I'll still listen to it for the bass!

Just got this...not great at all. Vocals are not Duff's strong suit. It's not bad, just basic rock 'n roll with less than good vocals. Almost reminds me of Dogs D'Amour with a harder edge.

From: Jessi Date: March 16, 2004 at 22:14
Yeah, i have to agree with Jass n' k about the sexy part. But duff is a good singer, his voice has that sound that just turns me on!!I love this cd and if anyone else doesn't, it's because you were looking for something that sounded more like guns n' roses, but, as always, things end. But i'm glad that he made this cd, because it's a new sound, and it rocks my socks!!!

From: Gar Date: March 17, 2004 at 18:34
This got trashed by all the critics when it first came out, but it really ain't that bad. As long you don't expect it to be G n R, you'll probably dig it for what it is.

From: mark Date: April 30, 2004 at 11:47
I was really hoping to like this c.d., but once again a bass player who thinks he has the talent and the songs and unfortunately he has neither. A very poor, lazy collection of songs....sounds like pub rock sub-standard bar room boogie. Not quite as bad as Slash's solo efforts, but remember guys if you intend foisting your meagre talents on the record buying public, then please try writing some decent songs! Stick to "Appetite" instead, the only worthwhile Guns N' Roses record. Hope Velvet Revol

From: mark Date: June 4, 2004 at 10:23
Revolver sound better than this!!!

From: Big Papa K Date: June 27, 2004 at 20:38
One of the better solo releases by the Guns N Roses members, this still suffers with some weak songwriting. Includes quite a few guest stars (Sebastian Bach, Lenny Kravtiz). 6/10

From: Metal Jay Date: July 31, 2004 at 13:43
That's face it, Duff didn't ruin Guns, Axl did. Duff made the best of it and did his thing with this album. Love it or hate, he did his thing. Personally, I think it's pretty solid.

From: Roxas Date: October 16, 2004 at 22:44
I've just started listening to this again, i thought this was utter shit back then but now it's great! reminds me of the Spaghetti days....There is some pretty emotional stuff on this.

From: loman Date: November 23, 2004 at 15:36
duff mckagan rules

From: scarecrow Date: December 3, 2004 at 14:06
one who darken duff's album is fucked up beyond it's belief we all wait for duff to make a new one

From: Geoff Date: January 5, 2005 at 0:14
I remember 'Just not there' and a couple of the balladic numbers were okay, but this is just a thrown together album by a man who was probably really quite drunk or stoned when he wrote and recorded it. Nothing wrong with that as I'm sure it happens a lot, but it's very obvious in this patchy and really rather poor effort. Better than Slash's fist album though - that's for sure!

From: Lovedrive Date: August 1, 2005 at 13:49
No mata, pero aun así tiene canciones que molan un güevo, como I LOVE YOU o MAN IN THE MEADOW.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: January 3, 2016 at 19:07
Quite a predictable Punky Rock album...ironically the one with the "rap" in it "F**k You" is my fave...tracks 4,6,7,8 & the nice softy "Ten Years" are ok but nothing to jump outta the window in here to be honest...60/100
