Decent album in Beau Geste or Stan Meissner vain. Basiclly i like this album, but what i don't like about it , it's up tempo tracks. 7/10

From: koogles Date: December 29, 2004 at 10:56
If you like the "Drive" side of The Cars, this CD takes that Westcoast approach and runs with it. Great late-night listening from the late Cars bassist. Ben Orr R.I.P. and thanks for the great AOR!

From: oliver Date: December 30, 2004 at 3:29
late-night listening, well said! but nothing special. this isn´t worth the 50$ you´ve to spend. nice aor like 100s of other 80s releases.

UNA JOYA DEL AOR, COMPARABLE CON STAN MEISSNER COMO DICEN, PERO NO A BEAU GESTE????? (BEAU GESTE IS MORE POWERFUL), EXCELENTES TEMAS COMO Stay The Night(EL CLASICO MAS CONOCIDO DE BENJAMIN), In Circles, Hold On, When You're Gone, Too Hot To Stop ESTE ALBUM ES PARA MI TODO UN AOR SUPERCLASSICCC!!!! DE LO MEJOR QUE A SACADO BENJAMIN, SUPERA CUALQUIER ALBUM DE THE CARS, UN ALBUM AOR DE CALIDAD TOTAL. RAITING 5.75???(STUPIDS BOYS), WHAT HAPPEN, FOR ME IS A 10.

"Too Hot To Stop" What a Video!!! Awesome!!!

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: March 19, 2006 at 12:03

From: Lovedrive Date: April 19, 2006 at 15:15

From: mauricio Date: July 2, 2006 at 22:24

From: mauricio Date: July 2, 2006 at 22:24
su mas representativo tema STAY THE NIGHT el mejor de todos y por que vale tener todo el album.WHEN YOU RE GONE-HOLD ON-SKYLINE-THIS TIME AROUND-y la misma THE LACE como mis preferidas.hay otras movidas como IN CIRCLES-SPINNING-THATS THE WAY. un disco que todos deberian tener en casa como un clasico hoy en dia bastante dificil.y sin olvidar los musicos de lujo y con la guitarra de MICHAEL LANDAU.si este disco es una joya solo imagina si este disco tendria una continuacion

From: mauricio Date: July 2, 2006 at 22:25

Good album but more new wave than aor or any other thing.Shame he died and he cannot give us another taste of his creativeness. The Cars spirit is in here too and that makes it more appracheable 4 listeners."Stay the night" is a hit that will remain forever in our ears!!!!.

From: Carlos A. Date: January 25, 2007 at 19:14

How can I sell this cd?This is so good and amazing, impossible!!!

From: Wachen Date: April 26, 2008 at 13:14
One of the best discs I've ever heard. It's a shame this is his only effort, but what an effort it is! "Stay the night", "Skyline" and "This time around" is what 80's rock is all about! Not a bad track at all and it becomes clearer that Orr's creativity was held back by Ocasek in The Cars. Buy! 10/10

From: PODEROSO YIRO Date: April 28, 2008 at 21:43
This is a beautiful Hi tech Pop AOR album!, with good melodies, a mellow style and great songs like "Too Hot To Stop" and the astonishing "Stay The Night" where we can hear the relaxed and deep voice of Benjamin Orr shining at its best!

From: aorfan700 Date: October 22, 2008 at 10:40
I agree with Wachen on the songs he named. They are 80's heaven. This album is kinda remarkable. It's one of my most treasured cd's I own. I got the re-issue and the sound is actually improved a great deal over the old cd (certainly not always the case with re-issues). Listen out for Michael Landau's world class solo on the title track. Ben orr sings brilliantly on this and the solo is just one of the best subtle ones I ever heard from ML. I often rewind it several times. It really brings down the curtain with a bang on Ben's great angry and melancholic vocal delivery. Also the song Hold On is a piece of 80's heaven and another reviewer somewhere online said he felt like he was in a romantic 80's flick when listening to 'When You Gone'. Priceless. 10/10. I love this album and consider a masterpiece

From: juan carlos Date: June 27, 2010 at 15:36
Oh Yeah aorfan700, Wachen´s comment says it all. "Stay The Night" "This Time Around" and "Skyline" are my all-time favorite tracks here. "This Time Around" wow what a nostalgic song, pure AOR HEAVEN! 9/10

From: ferstyx Date: July 6, 2010 at 16:04
"Do you know what it feels like without you", claro ejemplo de la calidad de Benjamin. Lastima que nadie se anime a lanzarlo.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: November 22, 2010 at 22:38
I haven't had the opportunity to comment this album properly (just a short comment in english way back in 2007) ...i did it quite extensive in spanish (also in 2007) but now it is mandatory to write comments in english and i won't miss the chance to do so as this album is...GREAT!!! ..."Too Hot To Stop" great catchy starter,"In Circles" splendid beat,"Stay The Night" what can i say about it...magical and classic of all times ,"Skyline" wonderful song,it transports you directly to another galaxy ,"Hold On" nice one,"That's The Way" another catchy track & "This Time Around" ends the album in an elegant smoothie way...Benjamin Orr..you and Ric Ocasek made The Cars big...your legacy will remain intact in our memories...God Bless you brother...94/100

From: tomdwa Date: July 6, 2020 at 20:06
Nice and relaxed album, very well produced too. But not a classic, by no means. Stay the night is the obvious winner here, what a great track, and the album closing song This time around is beautiful too.
