| Simply put. The best of the batch of nauseating tribute albums released in the last five or six years. Vince Neil actually sounds great on 'Chip Away The Stone'. Stephen Pearcy's voice suits 'Toys In The Attic' to a T. My biggest pleasant surprise was Yngwie NOT overwanking on 'Dream On' and Dio's tasty vocal. A fitting tribute to a band that was awesome when they were high and absolutely embarassing sober. 8.5/10.

| If you are gonna buy one Aerosmith tribute CD,this is the one. Forget the rest as quite frankly,they suck!

| Yep, i agree, Vince Neil and Stephen Pearcy do a good job but the Master RONNIE JAMES DIO is the best Cover here. R.I.P RONNIE JAMES DIO...

| Finally got to hear Dio's rendition of "Dream On," and that jackass Malmsteen ruins it, same way he ruins everything with that fussy "let's see how many notes I can cram in without making an actual melody" style of neoclassical bullshit playing he owns. Yuck!

| Great covers here. I found Fee Wabill to be barely listenable on "Walk This Way" ... shame that song got such a poor treament vocally, IMO. Jack Russell, Vince Neil, Stephen Pearcey, Jani Lane, Mark Slaughter were all on point. Ted Nugent was meh. 8.5/10

| Back in the late '90's, you could spot clusters of aging rawkers loitering in the parking lot at Guitar Center, waiting for somebody from Cleopatra or Perrris or Eagle Rock to come by in a truck to pick them up and take them to a studio, then drop them back at GC when the session was done. Or the labels would send somebody down to the Department of Labor, where they would sidle up to a likely-looking specimen waiting to file his weekly unemployment claim, and ask, "Hey bud, do you know 'Back In The Saddle?'" And if the guy immediately starting belting it out, he was in! The result was these tribute albums. Yes, I'm being facetious, but the point is, these projects were just novelties, and a way for the musicians to get a little paycheck to make rent. As for these songs, I actually think Uncle Ted's contribution sounds the most authentic, as his vocal and guitar signatures both dominate. You'll rarely opt for his version over the original, but he gives a good, exuberant performance.
