Wow, I love this album from start to finish. No filler here IMO. This is slick, well produced AOR with an occasional mean streak. Overland sounds a million dollars as you would expect. Hard to pick out highlights as all songs are great, but 'Sea of Love', 'Body & Soul' & 'Believe In Me' are probably my favs. 9/10

A definite progression from the first cd.Veering between A.O.R.and M/HR.The rhythm section is tight, guitar work is quality,a great batch of songs, but Steve O's Blues-tinged vocals steal the show..Excellent !!!!!

Solid as hell. I think this is better than the good debut and a million miles better than anything from Shadowman. There are some excellent hooks and very strong choruses here and to be honest there's not a bad track amongst them. Good, solid melodic rock. Recommended.

Classy release! The perfect contemporary AOR/Melodic Rock. A real surprise to me as I didn't rate the first effort very highly. Great production, very good songs and Overland sounds as great as ever. Body & Soul, Sea Of Love, Abondoned and especially Believe In Me (awesome!!!) are the standout tracks in my opinion.

Great album!!!..did like it more than their debut one even though both efforts are worth every single penny!!!."Something To Believe In" is a beautiful ballad...Overland is still an amazing singer and hasn't lost a bit of his singing capacities (got the chance 2 see him live with FM during the "Tough It Out" Tour)and i could easily said that his skills are intact.Anyway get this album and enjoy it!!!.90/100

good release by steve s overland THE LADDER .many good songs though i d prefer a more traditional hard rock sound .standout song is surely "run to you" ,a very beautiful mid tempo anthem that shows steve s ability.other good songs are "something to believe in" and "all of my life".enjoyable release
