Almost Fm reunion, every track was recorded perviously in 80's as a demo and some of them apeared on singles as a b-side tracks. Great release for FM fans and Steve's voice fanatics. I wish they could have used more keys, 'couse f.e ''When tomorrow comes'' demo from late 80s, was more keyboard oriented.Guess that's the price you gotta nowadays.

pretty good comeback effort from Overland and co....as you said Peter Poland, i wish too that they had used more keys on these songs...maybe they will next time around...absolutely worth having

Following on from the excellent 'Shadowman'project release earlier this year, comes this one. My opinions on this are pretty much the same as on that one - high quality AOR, well played, well produced, with the highlight being Steve's fantastic voice. Not alot more to add really.

I probably liked Shadowman slightly more than this, but for fans of Overland or Vinny Burns then you need both albums. The highlights here are 'Do you Love me Enough' and 'Time for Changes', and it's only the 3 fairly ordinary tracks in-between these 2 songs that lets the side down a little. The mix and production are not quite as magnificent as on Shadowman either, but this is still a higher quality AOR product than you expect to find released in 2004. And Overland is awesome yet again. 7.5/10.

I must be in the minority that's glad that there are not more keyboards on this. I like the subtle use of them allowing the guitar to carry more of the song. I love FM, have done since Indiscreet and it's great to finally hear Dangerous again. Good production and tracks 3 and 4 just blow me away every time. Hopefully there's more to come, (where's Captured?). If you like FM, this pisses all over Dead Man's Shoes. Steve Overland yet again proves what a world class vocalist he is. I'd give it 9/10

From: Axe Machine Date: December 17, 2004 at 13:46
Totally top class AOR from what is an FM album in everything but the name. Steve sounds as good as ever and Vinny plays his usual God-like solos. The only thing that could have made this better? Didge Digital and his awesome keyboard hooks. Still brilliant though, and their best since the Neil Kernon produced 'Tough It Out'. 9/10

Quality album from quality musicians. We know who they are and they deliver the goods.Steve O's voice is still top notch !!!!!

Indeed, Axe Machine and Wotty : this is a class release. Quality with a big Q ! And before I forget it : thanks to Dan for letting me in again !

The Ladder hardrock? Sorry for laughing. The Ladder (read FM) is pure AOR. NIce stuff. For me such albums are music-heaven. More please, more, more

as I stated a few reviews ago, I just discovered Steve/FM/Shadowman/Ladder, and have gotten everything I can by him. This is a solid release but Shadowman rates a few points higher on my Overland scale. This is a good release of older demo material, I hope to see all of FM release something soon, and hopefully, Shadowman was not a one time deal. Again, very solid classy album!!!

From: Geoff Date: November 10, 2005 at 23:11
This is a good album, better than the Shadowman one, IMO. I like many of the songs, especially 'Like lovers do', but it suffers from the same thing as Shadowman. Good sound, some good songs but nothing that really breaks the album open. No one or two tracks which really blow it apart. It's consistent, polite and a good listen, but it doesn't demand repeated listens unfortunately. Still, a good album and better than a couple of FM releases too.

Very good album!!!...solid songs with a lot of FM influence (of course)...perhaps being their first album with expected something like this but undoubtebly the FM brand was stuck in here...Anyway,"Closer To Your Heart","Dangerous",the poppy one "Baby Blue" and so on...great songs played by great musicians!!!.85/100

From: rick kerch vzla Date: August 23, 2008 at 12:08
Vinny Burns gave some kind of edgy guitars!!!...hell yeah!!!

wow brilliant demos from fm.a superb record far batter than the differents shadowman s records.the sound is perfect and vinny burns do an excellent job with his guitar.fm s fans can buy this record closed eyes.impossible to be disapointed with this jewel.one bonus track on the japan import.but what a weird name for an a o r band.they could choose a name more rock n roll for this project.
