Did you know that: Skid Wrote Livin' off Layla during a period that the band was broken up? Skid talked jizzy into coming into the studio and recording the vocals for the cd. Jizzy wanting nothing to do with the project, saying it was all skid's stuff and not Love/Hate, and moreover not the direction he wanted Love/Hate to go musically. Anyway Jizzy finally came to the studio, but before all the vocals tracks were laid Jizzy and Skid got into it and Jizzy refused to finish the vocal tracks......

From: RoxxGangFan Date: October 17, 2002 at 21:30
So, Skid asked Marq Torien to finish the vocals so the cd could be released. The cd was titled "Livin' Off Layla" becaused Skid was mad at Jizzy, and Jizzy's girlfriend's name was Layla and Jizzy was living with her without a job. So, Livin' off Layla to get back at jizzy, also the cover is supposed to be a picture of Jizzy that Skid has painted on to make Skid look like a Devil. To get back Skid, the Next Love/Hate CD "Let's Eat" was put out by Jizzy without any Skid in put at all!......

The story of the "Livin' off Layla" CD, was information I had gotten from talking to Skid's wife, and then talking to Jizzy, and hearing his side of the story. Straight from both camps, this is the story of Love/Hate's Livin off Layla CD. I have never spoken about it in public since 1997 when I ask questions and both sides tried to explain to me whats up with Marq Torien singing some of the songs. All their Cd's can be bought at www.Perrisrecords.com Different from other L/H cd's but a great CD!

Jizzy is a good singer but NOT meant to be in Ratt. Stephen Pearcy is the only one who can front Ratt correctly.

From: SPOTLIGHT Date: May 22, 2003 at 6:02
Rumor has it that Jizzy has some serious narcotic problem. I'm suprised he lasted this long.

From: TIM Date: May 22, 2003 at 14:04
You've obviously never seen Skid in an interview.

I'm in the process of downloading a shitload of MP3's from www.lovehate.com, not sure about the quality, but judging by the size they appear to be around 128, not bad for free. Anywho, looks like they've got the first five albums up.

From: ppfinder Date: April 19, 2004 at 8:06
That's correct. They put the first 5 records on mp3 on their site www.lovehate.com ready to download. I'm now donwloading the Livin Off Layla (128k), cause i can't get it here in Portugal. I have the other 4 in cd and all are in my favoritous cds of rock. Love/hate Rules. Anyone knows if Let's Eat and B-Sides are official records?

From: Stevie St Ford Date: June 23, 2004 at 7:54
Oh dear...Managed to track this one down in an independent store and was disappointed beyond belief. There is about two good songs on the CD, Walk On and Wish I Had More Time. All the others are a ramblin' mess, half baked ideas thrown together with absolutely no direction at all! To be fair Jizzy Pearl has practically disowned this album, and it isn't difficult to see why! Much better is Jizzy's solo album 'Just a Boy'.
