Spinning Wheel sounds like a tune Ratt could have done.

This one's kinda hit and miss. I don't LOVE this album, but I don't HATE it either(sorry for the bad joke). Songs aren't very memorable, but they're OK. They had a minor hit with Spinning Wheel. You can usually pick this cd up cheap.

Not as good as the first two, but worth a listen.

This is the Love/Hate trip for only the truely demented. Keep your AA coin close when you dig into this drug inspired mish-mash of metal insanity. Starts off reasonably sane with first 2 tracks, then the smack kicks in. "Wrong Side of the Grape" is an underground classic tale of giving in to your demons. "Black Iguana" is just pure pot reflection conversation. "Miracles..." is a wonderfully painful and sarcastic kinda ballad. Not awesome but very interesting.

ARE YOOOOU REAAAAAADY.... TOOOOO RUMBLE?? Classic opening track! Not as good as the first two L/H albums but preferable to the meandering "I'm Not Happy," LET'S RUMBLE is just dirty, scuzzy, beer drinkin', pot smokin' RAWK. Too bad the label it was released on was tiny and didn't have great distribution or "Spinning Wheel" could've been a hit. I saw them on this tour in Nyack, NY and they were excellent!

This album was okay but saw the band changing the sound a bit. Probably the last good album IMO. 7/10

This one didn't quite sit so well with me. I liked the first two albums a lot and most their albums have passed through my hands but only the first two remain. The first track is awesome, but it sort of loses it's way from there, IMO. Not terrible by any means, but not the best album I ever heard either.

8.5/10.

Not as powerful of complete in the songwriting department as the first 2 releases... an impressive addition to their body of work nonetheless and in my opinion their last great album. The addition of a very competent Darren Householder on guitar adds different textures to the skeletons of these love/hate songs whilst maintaining "the L/H sound" & keeping the fire burning in the Love/Hate beast ... All said and done tracks like Flower, Here's to You, If You Believe in Miracles & Spinning Wheel are worthy of being dubbed love/hate classics.

It's funny somebody mentions "Spinning Wheel" as a coulda-been hit. According to Jizzy Pearl himself, it WAS a hit, at least in Los Angeles, when KNAC started giving it heavy airpplay. The problem: the album had no release date at the time, and the station had gotten an advance copy somehow (way in advance), and were playing that song against the band's wishes. So when the record finally did come out months later, nobody was interested anymore. Regardless, Love/Hate continues their quirky, oddball take on sleazy glam, more twisted than the first couple albums maybe because the times allowed them to be more twisted, or just likely out of simple restlessness. Take the established Love/Hate sound and infuse it with a warped, druggy attitude and outlook that almost reminds me of Monster Magnet, in spirit if not sound. Jizzy is still his sneering, sarcastic self even when he's singing about strippers. I'm not a drug user, but if i ever did take up the hobby, I think I would want this disc i

... in my weed-and-'shrooms mix. Not the band's best work, but you gotta love it for its craziness.
