Aug. 20, 2025: Temporary Message Board ClosureThe company hosting the message board sprung a surprise price hike on me that would have more than tripled the monthly hosting costs, so I've been scrambling to find an alternative. I've purchased a license for self-hosting a different platform and am hiring a consultant to migrate the existing board's content (posts, user profiles, etc.). However, this means I need to shut down the message board for anywhere from 3 days to (hopefully less than) a week so the data can be migrated. While this is an expensive proposition up front, it should result in some long-term savings. The current message board will be closed down at some point this Saturday, August 23. I will post updates here. The main site (where you are reading this), will NOT be affected. -Dan |

If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.
The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Magnum CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.
EPs and CD-singles from Magnum are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Ever since I heard the voice of Mason in Lynch Mob I've been a fan. What a voice, and I also love the debut Silent Witness album. This one is no exception. I'm actually not a big fan of the British Magnum so I'll say a statement which will probably never be supported by another, but I much prefer this to the British Magnum. It's not amazing, but it's good solid hard rock ('Betrayed' is killer!), the ballad's very nice and it's solid - killer vocals too. I like it a lot. Good stuff. |

The singer sounds like Bernie Shaw from Uriah Heep & not surprisingly the album even would pass for an AOR sounding clone of Heep from back in the late 80's, early 90's era. Also, the band does an admirable job on the Hughes/Thrall classic "I've Got Your Number" though nothing can touch the original. Overall, a good find & worth a listen on occasion. |

$82.22 and well worth it!!!...Hard Rock???...this is great AOR with a little High Tech feel to it "Breaking Point" shows that sound and "I've Got Your Number"(cover song)is simply Rock!!!..."Forever Ended Yesterday" what a ballad!!!(never get tired of listening 2 it)...to say that this lot is better than the mighty Magnum U.K. is kinda crazy(i think they recorded another album apart from this one,do not remember its name though)...maybe in the States they could have been huge but little noise they did outside there.Anyway the album is good and sure it would be appealing to AOR lovers.85/100 |

This is kinda a follow-up to an Mini-LP released in 1983 called "Hot Nights" issued on vinyl/cassette only I think. "Hot Nights" had songwriting and production credits to the Dakota duo of Jerry Hludzik and Bill Kelly and was very much in that bands style. No Secrets has less West Coast influences and is more melodic aor but still a fine set of songs, which includes the Paul Laine penned "2 Sides of Love" covered by Zinatra on their Great Escape album, and recorded himself for his second solo outing. Do yourself a favour and get both releases...if you can find them! |
