They pretty much devote a whole disc to their weakest releases (self-titled, Generation Swine). And what's worse, they left off some classics from their heyday: where's City Boy Blues, Keep Your Eye on the Money, etc.? There's no excuse to leave them off a 2 CD set! This is sort of like Van Halen's 2 CD release from last year... a lot of money to spend for 3 new songs! And since they've released 3 Greatest Hits CDs already (Decade of Decadence, Greatest Hits and the box set), this equals RIPOFF!

From: Mike Date: February 2, 2005 at 12:31
I agree, they pulled a Van Halen, but even worse-only 3 new songs & 1 is a cover! What about the song "Liar" which was supposed to be on this CD according to Nikki and the interviews they've done over the past 1-1/2 months. To include both Bitter Pill and Enslaved since those were done on the GH disc is hard to fathom. They should have done a full CD(like Priest is)for the reunion or at least this:Rerecord with Vince about 5 songs off the S/T CD that Corabi Also, pick a better cover song(s)

From: Edward Date: February 2, 2005 at 14:32
Oh, just another hits cd. I just love the new song that is out now called "If I Die Tomorrow". Can't wait to see them here in Puerto Rico, tho! (Feb. 14) I'll be there just to see how can these dudes still play. And yes, to hear the new song in the concert. Long live the CRUE!!!

From: Greg Date: February 3, 2005 at 7:56
I agree, it i just another "Hits" CD, with a few "non-hits" thrown in, but, I mean, people knew that's all it was gonan be, if it pisses you off that it's only a hits CD, don't buy it, only Die-hard Crueheads are gonna by this, or peopel who either don't know much about them or don't have any of the greatest hits collection CD's. the new songs are great, I do wish they woudl have released a full length CD too, but what can ya do, also, the song "Liar" is only gonna be released on the Japanese CD

From: Muddley Date: February 4, 2005 at 1:15
Agreed. Theyre becoming a money machine. Theyre FFF. Forty, fat and finished.

From: Richierocker Date: February 4, 2005 at 16:00
The new songs are great I love them!! But a lot of the posuer wannabe Motley Crue fans here will get this album and think they are huge Crue fans now because the Crue are doing a Tour. I am in so much shock Knock em Dead Kid and 10 seconds to love are not on this one.

From: Fizz Date: February 4, 2005 at 16:15
Very disappointing track list. For example, why are BOTH "new" songs from the '98 compilation included? I thought they were going to release a 2-CD set called Loud As Fuck, which I saw a track list for, and was MUCH better than this.

From: Fizz Date: February 4, 2005 at 16:20
I could probably make a whole third disc of songs left off this thing. "Take Me To the Top," "Red Hot," "Knock 'Em Dead Kid," "Ten Seconds to Love," "Louder Than Hell," "She Goes Down," 'Punched In the Teeth by Love." Okay, maybe not a whole disc, but you get the idea.

From: Tony Date: February 5, 2005 at 10:37
Well this is what it is. If you're a die-hard you have this stuff and if you're a fence sitter you already have either "Decade.." or "Greatest Hits". I will say "Sick Love Song" is awesome, "If I Die..."is just wimpy, trendy, "see we're still hip" bulls#@t and I always felt Motley should stay MILES away from doing cover songs!! Besides "Helter Skelter" these guys just demolish every cover tune they attempt. Neil's voice is perfect for the Crue but doesn't translate well for other bands tunes.

From: Chad Date: February 5, 2005 at 10:45
Well said Tony! Just another Hits package to milk our pockets. I was hoping the Crue would stay away from this kind of marketing. Oh well, I guess we do have the box sets to enjoy.

From: Greg Date: February 5, 2005 at 13:20
I kinda liked "anarchy in the U.K." cover!!

From: Rene Date: February 6, 2005 at 13:58
This is realy only for people that doesnt have all the MOTLEY CRUE albums or die hard collectors. If I Die Tommorrow is not a bad song. Some of the riffs sound to modern but Vince Neil´s voice is very good on that song.

From: ALEXX GLAM Date: February 9, 2005 at 11:25
WELL IM A DIE-HARD FAN AND GOT EVERYTHING OF THIS GUYS BUT "BEAUTY" C'MON THIS SONG SUCKS THE NEW TRACKS ARE OK I HOPE TO SEE THEM LIVE ONE LAST TIME

From: SIXXSWINE Date: February 10, 2005 at 15:03
Like their Idols the Rolling Stones, Motley Crue returns with "another" collection of the "best" material. While I like this two disc set, I couldn't possibly convince anyone that has Decade or '98's Grst Hts to pick this one up. Even with the newly recorded tracks, it would be a hard sell. Disc one is really all you need, but there's some choice stuff on disc two from the post Feelgood eras. Buy this only if you don't already have a Crue compilation or if you are a die hard fanatic! 9.5 6\m/

From: Rocker76 Date: February 10, 2005 at 15:49
Hey Sixxswine, actually I've heard Nikki Sixx refer to Aerosmith as their "Rolling Stones"....Not as much influenced by Jagger/Richards as Tyler/Perry. But I'm sure they are big Stones fans as well.

From: CurtisLoew Date: February 15, 2005 at 10:08
Disc 2 is pretty damn weak.

From: Big Mike Date: February 17, 2005 at 9:15
Watch for the live album next, did I hear you say KISS?

From: AJ Date: February 25, 2005 at 14:08
Got this used (ALREADY) for 8.95 plus I already had all GH cd's. I guess they needed something to promote the tour. The new tracks are nothing to write home about either.

From: Allan Thrasher Date: February 27, 2005 at 18:13
Motley Crue chuta bundas...mas as musicas novas são um lixo moderno... só se salva o vocal do mestre Vince

From: nobycane Date: March 8, 2005 at 19:51
I kind of dig the new songs...the cover of the Stones - I could do without. I would have perferred to see the Japanese bonus track on this version though instead of Street Fighting Man. FYI: The japanese bonus track in entitled "Liar"...is an original - and it rocks!!!!

From: rocknutter2001 Date: March 13, 2005 at 6:10
I thought that the tracklisting 4 this best of was good although i would have liked TIME FOR CHANGE,CITY BOY BLUES,RODEO+PUBLIC ENEMY NO1, 2 be included but thats just my opinion.I really liked the 2 new orginal songs if i die tomorrow+sick love song but i could have done without the cover version of street fighting man as i dont think it suites vinces voice very well.Still i cant wait 2 c them live here in wales in june.

From: Harry Date: March 13, 2005 at 16:45
The new song "If I Die Tomorrow" is great! One of the best rockers they ever wrote! Give us a cd in that vein and I'm sure it will be huge!

From: Cotton C. Lover Date: March 13, 2005 at 18:27
Ummm...they didn't write If I Die Tomorrow. It was a leftover from Simple Plan. Don't know if they tweaked it any, but do know that it's not totally an original. Cool song. Not by them, though.

From: Sinnerboy Date: April 4, 2005 at 0:03
Yeah I agree. I'm a huge fan, and I'm kinda getting tired of the greatest hits stuff. Still the baddest band on the planet.

From: jakki steal Date: April 14, 2005 at 3:08
red white and crue is the rock n roll bible on cd. killer cuts "toast of the town" "black widow" "use it or lose it" "girls girls girls" "dont go away mad" "primal scream" "afraid" "hell on high heels" "sick love song"!motley crue is the greatest rock band. girls like me want to have sex with them and dudes wish they were as cool as them! (after thought)=...would of loved it if "glitter" "she needs rock n roll" "angela" and "on with the show" were on the cd.

From: P1kkl3 Date: July 30, 2005 at 4:33
I went out and bought this cd just because of one song, Black Widow. I've had this one on bootleg cassette for years, and really love it, so I just had to buy this cd for this one track, plus Disc 1. Disc 2 is just pure shite, even the remix of Home Sweet Home is a steaming pile, much preferred the original. The only song off MOTLEY CURE worth including in my opinion, was Death Do Us Part. It's sad to see the once great Crue go the way of Kiss and chase the almighty dollar.

From: swriter Date: August 29, 2005 at 14:51
hmmm, could of been a great one disk set, second cd is not much, first one is killer, except a lack of stuff from Shout and DR. Feelgood, worth having for Crue fans

From: poproxx2007 Date: December 23, 2005 at 0:34
"If I Die Tomorrow" is a good return to form for the band. They came back huge this year. They gave the fans what they want. Sure I would like to hear some of the obscure tracks but I guess thats what the music to crash your car to monstrocitys are. Black Widow is a cool addition. Overall a good best of release-better thab Greatest hits or Decade.

From: Mediaab Date: February 25, 2006 at 11:36
If I die tomorrow & Sick love song are two very good new songs, but to release yet another compilation album was maybe not so necessary. Think if they'd do a whole new album with songs of this quality, well that would be the thing!! Anyway, pretty much classics all the way, but to include Use it or lose it instead of City boy blues, Keep your eye on the money or Louder than hell (much better songs of the Theatre of pain album) was a mistake. I'm a liar should have been included as well.

From: PODEROSO YIRO Date: November 23, 2006 at 21:25

From: Rob Rocker Date: February 29, 2008 at 11:05
Although not technically Motley Crue, I would have preferred a couple Vince Neil solo songs instead of the throwaway tracks from Quaternary. Besides that small complaint this is an o.k. overview of their music.

From: 123charpenay Date: December 30, 2009 at 18:48
i am fan of aor hard fm so good hard rock bands.i like motley cause they rocks.on the first cd majority of songs are goods.some songs of their first album are zero.somes french bands in the bottom of the loose can plays them.it is

From: 123charpenay Date: December 30, 2009 at 18:55
