An excellent AOR disc with catchy riffs and choruses. Released at the height of 80's metal and should not be overlooked.

HEIIIIIII !!!!!! Can someone help me buy their records ? contact me cristi30ro@yahoo.com

Suberb vocals from Kal Swann! Fat guitar lines and steady backups. A pretty good glam metal album guys!!!

From: WidoMakr Date: January 15, 2002 at 3:36
Again..another great album....How rare is it that a band follows up a debut with another great album....To all 80's rockers/metal heads...get this or the first album....u wont be dissapointed...I promise u...if u dont like either one...switch listening types or check your pulse...U aint alive!!! quote the WidoMakr...never more

From: andre Date: May 20, 2002 at 9:35
True 80's metal.Classy guitar riffs ,stupendous vocals and drums like cannons.A must have, it's a shame that Lion did not have the attention that they deserved .They were extremely unique on their sounding,at the same time being totally 80's.Hail Kal Swan wherever you are ,and good luck for Doug Aldritch in Dio.

From: Steve T Date: May 21, 2002 at 9:04
Unique is not a word I associate with Lion. They were better than the average 80's rock I admit but they were Whitesnake with a little more power....nothing more.

From: Andre Date: May 21, 2002 at 9:47
I'm sorry steve,I must say that your description is fair, but in terms of making music, you can use the same key,but chords, that's a personal touch.Toghether with each one's contribution ,make it all UNIQUE. Yes like a fingerprint.Thank's to Swan's and Aldritch duo.If you have listened to Tytan you'll see the potencial. For instance, I can't name any bad after Lion.If there were, somebody would be ripping off somebody.Well now, describing the band, you were true and more economic than me.Rock on!

I'd paid a high price for this GREAT & AWESOME CD pn ebay, and it's worth every single dime. If you have any chance to come across their 2 albums, GRAB them!!! Too bad Mark Edwards met an accident in 1989 and was seriously injured which caused them to disband. Kal & Doug further pursue their career to form Bad Moon Rising. It's nice to see them not giving up, cos rock never die, never was and never will be... ROCK ON!!!

From: Andre Tekken Date: December 19, 2002 at 16:38
This is a pretty rare effort, since it was released trought Music For Nations and it does not longer exist!Hard to describe one of my all time favourite bands. In essence it puts toghether all the best qualities of high qualitie hard/heavy bands of the eighties had!Plus it surelly was over the top of most of 80`s bands.Heavy sharp, exiting riffing by Doug + thundering drumms and of course perfect-pitch, banshee, classy, scottish vocals of Kal Swan!Pomp Hard/Heavy like you`ve never seen before!

I love this CD! Although Fatal Attraction is also a great CD I rank Trouble In Angel City a little higher. My favorite tracks are Come On and Love Is A Lie. It a shame this band didn't last too much longer after this awesome release.

At least you had Bad Moon Rising for a few albums though. Kinda picked up where they left off.

NUEVAMENTE !!!PERFECT!!!

I first heard of Lion on the Transformers cartoon (they wrote the theme to the series.) I found a brand new copy of this Lion album today. The store owner thanked me for finally ridding of it off his store shelves (it's been sitting there for 15 years, since the day he shelved it.) I'm glad I was able to save it before someone else could find it, because this is good hard-rocker. On-par with "Dangerous Attraction" IMO.

From: Geoff Date: September 13, 2004 at 2:01
This is a good riff charged hard rock album. 'Lock up your daughters' and 'Love is a lie' are two of my faves, but if you like riff driven commercial hard rock I think you'll enjoy this. The vocals sound a little stretched at times, but that's my only complaint here. Good solid hard rock album.

BETTER THAN THE DEBUT! WORTH TO BUY! SIMILIAR TO THE BLACK MOON RISING 2ND ALBUM!

From: Propane Date: November 30, 2004 at 16:55
No matter how much you might have to pay, buy this. It will remove every inch of that 80's and 90's spoonfed crap from your mind and reinsert your common senses.

From: DIE4ROCK Date: December 3, 2004 at 13:19
I HAVE GOT ALL THE 80's HARD ROCK MELODIC BANDS, AND I CAN ASSURE YOU BOYS THIS IS THE BEST BAND "LION" THAT YOU EVER WILL FIND IN THIS PLANET. AS ALWAYS, THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE ON TOP OF ALL AND YOU ARE LUCKY TO KNOW WHO THIS IS!!!!! ENJOY IT!!!! BUT DON'T KILL YOURSELF!!!

From: JOSE Date: December 12, 2004 at 18:54

From: Leandro - Brazi Date: January 3, 2005 at 16:07
Hey, have you ever heard Zinatra? It's exactly the same sound, the same vocals! I saw, and the singers are different, not the same person, but the voice looks like too much. Anyway, it's a good album. Well melodic, but without any extreme highlight song. All then are good, but there's no song that you listen and sing-a-long.

Great band indeed! Dangerous Attraction was a very melodic and riff oriented album but this one is good also just the only thing wrong with this one is the production sucks but a fine release nonetheless.

From: Lovedrive Date: August 12, 2005 at 4:42
Este grupo lo descubrí por una canción de la banda sonora de los Transformers y me llamó mucho la atención.. después de escuchar sus discos, sobretodo este último, me he llevado una gran decepción.

From: metalhead4life Date: August 22, 2006 at 21:11
Very good album! Not as good as "Dangerous Attraction" but still worth buying. The song "Love Is a Lie" appeared in Friday the 13th part IV. That's where I first heard of this band and I thought the song was cool. That's interesting to me since "Love Is a Lie" was on the Powerlove CD from 1986 and Friday the 13th IV was 1984 - wonder if that song was one of their first demos.

From: juan carlos Date: June 29, 2007 at 22:47
"Can't Stop the Rain" vaya temazo mi favorita. "Lonely Girl" acústica solo ok. Discazo!! 9.5/10

From: aTomiK Date: September 27, 2007 at 15:37
Yeah, not as good as D Attraction, but... The best ones here: 4.Love is a Lie, 5.Victims of Circumstance, 6.Stranger in the City (The CLASSIC song in this one) & 8.Hold On.

From: lalo r.o.c.k. Date: May 3, 2009 at 22:47
Excellent catchy melodic Hard Rock with killer riffs and awesomes guitars solos, the voice from Kal Swan is powerful and fits exactly with the style, songs like Lock Up you daughters, Victims of circumstance,Stranger in the city,Hungry for love are examples of what the power of hard rock can be made with passion, great -in you face- hard rock,9.5/10.

From: Anne North Date: August 16, 2009 at 23:39
Dear All, Actually, I have a Japanese version of the album. It doesn't have lyric notes. I've been wanting to know the lyrics of Forgotten Sons in these 20 years! I can't hear in details from Kal's vocal. Should you know anything, please tell me. Thank you for your kindly coop!

From: JamesEagle Date: November 2, 2009 at 15:39
Great album, 'Come On', 'Can't Stop The Rain' and 'Forgotten Sons' are incredible songs, pretty heavy as well. I would rate all of those tracks as 10/10, good enough on their own to give this a 95. Kal Swan is a great vocalist with a very distinctive voice, suited to melodic metal rather or the heavier side of hard rock. I only heard Dangerous Attraction a couple of times, but thought this was a far better album. Fairly heavy for this site, but if that doesn't scare you off and you like Swan's vocals, this is a must.

From: rallen399 Date: April 22, 2010 at 19:22
This is a pretty good album.I have a couple of buts though. I've never been a fan of Kal Swans voice,he has no range witch makes every song sound similar.I think if Doug got a better singer with some range and different inflections in his voice it would be a far better album.I think both Burning Rain albums are far superior to to any of the Lion albums, not that Lion is bad just not as good.

From: CMGio Date: May 10, 2010 at 8:03
Picked this up for about $15 if I remember correctly. One of my favorite hard rock albums to date. Excellent stuff. Love Kal Swan's vocals.

From: metalmaniac777 Date: February 4, 2011 at 12:27
Not too far removed, sound-wise, from "Dangerous Attraction," but the songs simply aren't as strong (with the exception of "Lock Up Your Daughters," which kicks major butt). Doug Aldrich once again proves he is an insanely talented guitarist, but the sharp hooks of the previous album have been replaced by hooks that have gone a little dull. And without those monstrous songs in place to keep the listener focused, Kai Swan's one-dimensional vocals become a little more obvious (sorry, I do not consider this guy to be a great singer). Bottom line, this is perfectly acceptable stuff for when you're out cruising the city nights, but acceptable is just another name for average.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 8, 2011 at 18:29
Very good album by Lion...i really like Kal Swan's way of singing /m/..."Stranger In The City" is a catchy AORish song that along with another AORish one "Hold On" and songs such as "Love Is A Lie",the Slade's cover song "Lock Up Your Daughters" & the rocky one "Forgotten Sons" to mention some puts a in your face 4 sure...89/100...buy!!!
