If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.
The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Pat Travers CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.
EPs and CD-singles from Pat Travers are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Good to see new stuff from him. Is it just me or does this album sound a lot like some older Nugent(without the politics that is)?

I love PT earlier material, 'Makin' Magic', 'Putting It Straight' 'Heat In The Streets' Crash & Burn' and the seminal 'Go For What You Know' live album are all discs that any self respecting rock music fan should own. I Never really bothered with much of his latter day blues albums, so when I heard 'Can Do' for the first time I was expecting more Blues than anything else. It's certainly no 'Makin' Magic', but what it is is PT going back to his 70's harder rock material and pulling it off with some class. Opener and title track 'Can Do' is a belter, as are 'Armed and Dangerous', 'Red Neck Boogie' & 'Dust And Bone'. I'm not sure about his cover of the Eurythmics 'Here Comes The Rain Again', good song though it is and 'Diamond Girl' and 'Wanted (That Was Then/ This Is Now)' are a bit on the soft side as well and don't work as well as the more rocking tracks. Overall though, this is a real pleasant surprise and well worth checking out if you are into PT's aforementioned hard rock stuff.

I picked this up the other day - agree with "Jez." This album is not on par with PT's '70's albums, but itís a good listen nevertheless. His vocals are much rougher today; guess that is to be expected. "Can Do" does get back to his roots, which is good to hear.
