This has gotta be one of Blackie's best efforts yet. Awesome guitars and lyrics, and Blackie's softer side on the two ballads. Scared To Death and Goodbye America make some really good political statements. Rock n Roll To Death is just plain fun, and the cover tunes are a bonus.

i just recently purchased this cd, money well spent! w.a.s.p. is one of the few groups around that when they release something new, you don't worry about if this is gonna suck or not. blackie has a gift of taking the worst song ever written and turning it into pure gold. this has got to be one of his best albums yet, even if it's a couple of years old, it has statements that make you think, and the lighter songs take you inside the mind of blackie,or should i say...our own minds.

From: Van Alan Date: September 11, 2002 at 22:18
There are two versions of this CD. The other replaces 'Skinwalker' with a song called 'Breathe', a great ballad. And it ditches the three bonus tracks listed below. Great versions are very good! 11. One Tribe 12. Tie Your Mother Down 13. Whole Lotta Rosie

From: T-Bone Date: March 26, 2003 at 8:51
I'm not sure why he's not in the credits, but Bob Kulick played alot of the guitar on this cd.

wasp is awesome gennerally..'still not..' is a fuckin huge masterpiece though not too hard to play in ur garage if u play guitar.pretty good infact. 'goodbye america' is the best political strike..u have a plus blackie for that, everything is really awesome on the album..wasp rulz

From: kipjuanjo Date: May 25, 2004 at 13:05

From: rocknroll Date: June 21, 2004 at 16:29
This is one of Blackie Lawless album, I you know what I mean. It's pure rock n' roll because Chris's not there. I love this band, one of my all time bands, this guys know how to rock, they are hell on the loose

From: Raiven Vainn Date: January 14, 2005 at 16:11
This is nice, more melodic than early W.A.S.P. but it has a sinister side to it, which can never be bad

From: LUST Date: March 19, 2005 at 1:22
Now we're talking! Great effort Blackie! Originally not set to carry the WASP name, this album is classic WASP. Great hooks, lyrics and production. Scared to Death rocks!

From: poproxx2007 Date: December 22, 2005 at 23:50
Like LUST said this was originally the Lawless solo disc and you can tell. This was a perfect cd in my opinion. I like when Blackie gets introspective and can slow it down a bit. Some great songs. Sadly when this was released no radio or video support in the US. I would give it a 9/10. A great cd by WASP and by any metal band for that matter.

From: Aussie Dave Date: December 26, 2006 at 19:19
Another very solid album from Blackie. Great Jefferson Starship cover of 'Somebody To Love'. I have the version where the last 3 songs are not there, and the tracks are in totally different running order. Also the amazing ballad 'Breathe' is included in my version which is worth the cost of the cd alone. Overall another consistent album and one that;s worth adding to your hard rock collection. 8.5/10.....

From: Refugee80 Date: August 4, 2007 at 11:23
Proberly the most accomplished mature metal album ever made pure genius, Unfortunately this was to be the last good WASP album, apart from afew tracks none of the following albums came close to this masterpeice

From: Scrounger Date: July 22, 2008 at 11:38
I actually think this is the best album Blackie Lawless has ever made, with the exception of track 8). It rocks whilst being both upbeat and yet eerily emotional.

From: shoemaker Date: July 22, 2008 at 12:07
This is not the best album, it sounds like the restmaterial from the crimson idol sessions. Itīs still good, but if you have the idol you donīt need this.

From: kai Date: July 23, 2008 at 22:23
I agree with shoemaker. Some songs seem to be leftovers from "The Crimson Idol", and the whole album has a "Crimson Idol" feel, although more introspective. Still, it is a solid album with interesting songs like "Skinwalker", "Scared To Death", "Goodbye America" and "Rock N Roll To Death".

From: Metal T Date: November 10, 2008 at 15:04
Was a great effort from BL.'Black Forever' & 'Goodbye America'still rip! Though ive always thought that some of the mellower stuff on this album stole the show.'Breathe' & 'Keep Holding On' were a couple of the best tunes he's ever written. Some d*mn good vox from Blackie on those two songs to boot.An underrated record for f'n sure-

From: pie75 Date: August 22, 2010 at 6:42
underated alright funny though i always read good reviews on it but and rightly so it sounds like some leftovers from the crimson idol it reminded me of that album what a great voice blackie has and in scared to death and i can't you realise that blackie is a disturbed man and that's what makes his music great

From: rick kerch vzla Date: May 28, 2011 at 19:12
Ummm...not my cup of tea...Wasp as i've always said is a great band but this one didn't catch my attention the way i've expected to do...good songs in here are "Still Not Black Enough","Black Forever","Goodbye America","Rock And Roll To Death" & the nice ballad "Breathe"...the list of tracks of my cd is different because it was the first print and it was supposed to be a Blackie Lawless solo album but changed his mind and released it as a Wasp one...85/100

From: hair metal again Date: July 25, 2011 at 5:43
fantastic release by WASP once again.it seems that with bob kulick and frankie banalli , blackie has found a unique sound with many solos and exceptional drum lines.all the songs are great and especially the 2 ballads "keep holding on","breathe".for me this is a very good release
