|this album was a new beginning for the group,with getting away from the harder more aggressive style that w.a.s.p. was always known for.this album brought to light a more talented side of the band, musicaly and lyricaly.the songs tell a story that you can actually understand and know exactly what they are trying to say.i think all of w.a.s.p.'s albums are great none can compare w/ the voice of blackie lawless.if he's singing aggressive or easy he has a way of bringing the best out of music.

|What a great album. This was one of their best. I'd put it up against their first two full length albums, yes it's that good. The song writing is above average, the musicianship is more evident here & oh my god! Blackie plays guitar?! Great version of 'I Don't Need No Doctor', remember watching Headbanger's Ball & seeing that video? Buy the expanded version of this it's more WASP for your buck. 9.5 on the SWINE SCALE.

|Blackie Rules the Metal Universe. (yes...he de-throned Ozzy!) I love this cd. Chris Holmes ripps some very good riffs and solo's, and what more can I say about Blackie's voice? He sounds good whatever he's singing. Again, the song writing is grand.

|Indeed, another stellar production from Blackie and the boys!!! A very hard driving, hard rocking album!!!

|If I had five CD's to take on an island, this would be one of them! I read that Blackie didn't think very highly of this CD because they had a short period to make it in and were tired from touring. Well, Blackie, me and many fans feel this is the best WASP has ever done!

|Oh man my freshman year of college and playing this album till the grooves practically wore off!! Aaahh the memories.... By the by, why as an artist would you announce 'Hey that piece of music you enjoy so much?? Well loser it's shit and you've been listening to a lie!!'?!?! Love this album and you can't take away the memories man.

|This album was the start of a new direction. The music got more complex and layered, and I think that Blackie grew as an artist on this album. However, it was a departure of what wasp had been; good or bad

|i heard that BLACKIE and the boys where dissapointed with this album but i still listen to it, sure it isn't the first album but shit man there will never be another first album. Restless Gypsy, Shoot it..., hell man i'll end up naming most of the tunes on this album no worries blackie, this album rocks

|This is their maturing album. Now they strongly stick to the melodic metal stage. This one screams the W.A.S.P. reality once again. I love this album more than Blackie loves it.

|Thanks for the words Dan, but where were your 'inflamatory' worries where I was accused of eating pickles out of asses? I guess I'm not a member of the club yet. As for this hunk of WASP junk, good god Blackie. I dug the first major label slab but this is going too far. This was a dark year for rockers. Hell, even KISS looked dorkier than usual during this time. Now Blackie is trying to out Manson, Mr. Manson and looking every bit his age... Anybody have any Brunette on CD or video?
||Date: December 18, 2002 at 12:25|
|Trying to out Manson? Blackie was doing that shit back in the 80's when Brian Werner (Manson) was still a Junior High Schooler. Alice Cooper was doing it in the 70's. Shock Rock is older than Manson so if anyone should be accused of copying anyone, Alice was the Godfather.

|I'd rate w.a.sp. 8/10 the last command 7/10 electric circus 3/10 oh dear. they sound like clowns on this one. If that's not the sound of a bad drum machine then i don't know what is...

|A kick ass 80s metal album! Killer tracks include: Mantronic, Restless Gypsy, and I'm Alive. At times this sounds like early-mid 80s Priest with more melodic style. Sorry Blackie Lawless doesn't like it...THIS ALBUM ROCKS!
||Date: November 28, 2003 at 2:41|
|I liked all of WASP's 80s releases EXCEPT this lame effort. Songs sound like parodies of 80s cheese metal. The cover version of Uriah Heep's 'Easy Livin'' is about as bland as it gets. Thankfully the band got out of their slump and released the classic 'Headless Children' shortly thereafter.

|this is my fave album from wasp a new line up blackie now on guitar and johnny rod from king kobra this by far was the best line up for wasp this album rocks

|My favorite WASP release also. while Crimson Idol may be seen as Blackie's masterpiece (???)I like this one much more, and I still play it while 'Idol' collects dust.
||Date: February 12, 2004 at 7:08|
|This album is heavily underestimated. Every song is perfect. It's my favorit album along with 'the headless children' and 'the last command'. I think that every W.A.S.P. album could be a best of the best collection, cause their all great!
||Date: March 20, 2004 at 9:38|
|From my opinion, the cover version of Uriah Heep's 'Easy Livin' is much better than the original. Simply because I grow up with wasp and I am relly not in to 70's music style. Blackie moaning in the middle of that song is like screaming from the cemetery..it's just great!
||Date: May 14, 2004 at 4:29|
|A more 'less heavier' and melodic than the previous 3 album(europe did have some company!). A must have for any one who like 80's dokken,ratt,scorpion and even europe's music while the first 3 album is for those who prefer judas priest,skid row and early 80's motley crue music. Anyway,Don't be fooled by any of this album's song title cause the music and song title are u might say,different!Trust me.
||Date: August 5, 2004 at 20:25|
|Has the same problem comparing the debut. Not too much diversity. Anyway one by one quality songs. Sweet Cheetah and Mantronic are my favourites. 8/10

|Otro gran disco de WASP! mis favoritas: Inside the elecric circus y Restless gipsy.
||Date: March 29, 2005 at 16:33|
|This was when the music itself became more important than the horror show the did. Many fans may argue that this was WASP's weaker album, but the good tracks are still worth getting it. I can never go wrong with this great band. They are one of the best!
||Date: December 23, 2005 at 0:03|
|It always saddened me to hear some fans and even Blackie bag on this excellent cd. In my opinion the best WASP Cd in the catalogue. Every song is excellent. 1986 was a great year for metal, AOR and rock in general. This has personal meaning behind it and should be in every true metal fans collection. 10/10

|Blackie may hate this disc. but I think it's their most consistent release so far, with killer songs like the booming title track, the melodic yet crushing Mantronic, the fast-paced Shoot From The Hip, and the scorching album closer The Rock Rolls On.
||Date: May 12, 2007 at 19:50|
|This was their best release to date. Even with 2 cover songs I thought it was great.
||Date: May 27, 2007 at 21:07|
|My fave from their 80s releases. 95-NASTY, Easy Living, I Don't Need No Doctor, The Rock Rolls On and the title track are my faves. Yet, all the songs are great. The bonus track, Flesh And Fire is a great song reminicent of the first album. I still love listening to it today. Funny how many fans love this effort more than Blackie himself!

|My favourite W.A.S.P. album and my first ever W.A.S.P. album that I bought. I have no idea why people slate this album (just 'coz of the band's image at the time?). A guy once tried to wind me up sayin' W.A.S.P. were a "pussy" hair band!!! That guy has never heard W.A.S.P. CLEARLY! I love this album, the title track gave me goosebumps on first listen as did the excellent "Restless Gypsy". Even songs like "Mantronic" which I suppose was filler, sound loud as hell and take on a life of their own. I highly recommend this album to anyone who likes W.A.S.P. and does not yet own this or just like Heavy-Melodic Metal in general. It's very special.....(take note blackie!)

|Was always a DAMN good album! Great distinct songs and a ton of attitude.Still ranks in the top three W.A.S.P.albums ever for me,along with 'Headless Children' and the debut.'Im Alive' was a one of the great underrated tunes from this badboy with BL pissing on the PMRC and overly zealous/oppressive religious types who im sure were more than pharisitic after double-portion night.....
||Date: October 30, 2008 at 19:39|
|I agree with the commments posted above. Although softer than their previous releases, it's a great album with killer songs like the title track, "Restless Gypsy", "Sweet Cheetah", "Mantronic", "95-NASTY".
||Date: August 22, 2010 at 6:19|
|yes blackie always said this is his worst album but i disagree not as good as the first 2 but still plenty of good songs here like the title track,i don't need no doctor,9.5 nasty,restless gypsy,i'm alive and mantronic a worthy addition to the wasp collection
