Decent set of collectables here. It's certainly great hearing Ralph (singer of glam-parody group Metal Shop) actually fronting a genuine glam band... 7% Solution themselves sound a lot like Shag, with a very upbeat and party-tone to the music... whilst Badd Boyz are far more like Dokken (their own album is also on the site). A decent mix of two bands, and full of quality songwriting. A shame nothing more came of 7% Solution. 7.5/10 |

It's amusing that there are two EPs on this one, because I've only ever treated it as the single Badd Boyz EP. Those tracks are killer commercial hard rockers, like 'Leave it to the law' and the amazing 'Straight to my heart' and the lovely ballad 'I don't wanna hear your heart break'. As for the rest, I thought the first 6 tracks were below average hard rock and have avoided them. Great end to the album though!!! Recommended for the price of an EP. |

Got the Z records reissue of this, as it was a lot cheaper. First thing you notice is how badly they messed this up. Firstly, there is only 10 tracks, so for some reason they decided to cut one of the Shortino tracks. Second, they mixed the order up, so the Badd Boyz stuff is first, and even then, they have got some of 7% Solution songs mixed in, so the bands arent seperated properly. Finally, the other big cock up is the song titles, as a couple of them have been strangely renamed. (for some reason Change Your Mind becomes Never Mind the Change). That said I love the Saenz fronted tracks, but as usual I find Shortinos vocals somewhat annoying, although the songs are good! |
