The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular The Gene Walk Group CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. EPs and CD-singles from The Gene Walk Group are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

In 1993 they came out with a stunning six-tracks EP: great songs in Bon Jovi style ("Slippery When Wet" era) that received great reviews. Now, ten years after, they come back with a full length album and a sound that is a more mature version of Bon Jovi's "New Jersey". A very good album, for the lovers of Bon Jovi and (bluesy) AOR.

10 years ago their EP set a standard not met on this full album release. This is not bad at all, and is a nice solid collection of melodic / commercial rock, but the quality of the 6 tracks on the EP is much better than this full album of lesser tracks (bar the ones that are on both). My thoughts? Stick with the EP and pick this one up for cheap if you can.

Geoff is right, the EP was very good..Especially the Rod steward tune..Lots of talent in this band, that's for sure...

I think this CD is just as good as the EP. Very solid effort. They do sound a lot like Bon Jovi, perhaps that is because they are both from Jersey.
