Ex keyboard player with Rainbow. His solo albums are superior slices of commercial and highly accessible AOR. |

Tony Carey has a song called The Red Door, which I believe he released as an mp3 on the internet, and thus may not appear on any official release... This song is an absolute breathtaking thing of beauty and well worth searching for if you are a fan of this genre... |

This is a very good album but you may get the stuff from the late 80's and early 90's and you will get some really good music to lay back to. He's plays almost all the instruments on all his records and have a great voice. A killer guy |

I thought Fine,Fine Day was a great song. I only heard that one song though. I wondered if he had been in Rainbow. I was looking at the Rainbow family tree and saw his name. |

To be more specific about my comment(2006) and being more objective,i may say that this is indeed a fine release..Tony Carey was at some stage,a member of the band Rainbow(from 1975 to 1977)then he went solo and has been recording and performing music up to these days...here in this album we have AORish moments with some folk added (a little bit).."A Fine Fine Day" could easily be a Tom Petty's track,"A Lonely Life" a highlight,"eddie Goes Underground" & "The First Day Of Summer" are both excellent and ones,"Reach Out" is the rocky song of the album along with the superb AORish rocking track "Tinseltown","Hungry" has some keyboards that makes the song sound like a semi New Wave one & "Some Tough City" apart from being a highlight track also has a nice sax execution part...in general lines and as i wrote at the beginning of this comment,a fine release indeed...90/100 |
