I've never been a big Poison fan and waited until a 'hits' package was released to get anything. I do like some of their material, and quite frankly, I must say I strongly feel that 'Something To Believe In' is one of the finest songs in any genre ever written. It's full of emotion and is a classic in it's own right. I respect them as musicians and I do enjoy this CD. Above average.

This album is one of the very first hard rock/metal album i listen to and one of my favourite. Though i don't really like poison much cause they always put image ahead of music and a bunch of 'jokers' in the industry but i guess they are o.k to listen.

One of the better greatest hits collections out there. Collects almost all of their worthwile songs, and adds two of the better 'Crack A Smile' tracks. 9/10

I agree! I'm glad you guys do too. I knew every Poison tune inside and out when this was released, and I wondered what good songs were left off. I could only name a few, and with 20 songs, whatever I would take off I would want to put back. AWESOME job with song selection. Personally I never liked Stand, and would have loved to see either Fire & Ice in it's place (The better song from the same album) or Look, But You Can't Touch, which was one of the songs that hooked me on them. Still, a 10/10

I pretty much hated Poison during the 80's. Then 90's music hit and well, Poison didn't sound so bad anymore. A fine greatest hits CD that I would recommend to any glam, metal, hard rock fan. Melodic and filled with hooks, a good buy.

Sorry Kip, but 'Stand' is awesome. I think 'Look What The Cat Dragged In' is supposed to be on this one. I'll check.

I will have to agree with Kip here. I lived and breathed Poison for about 5 years (And still love 'em today), and like Kip said I knew every track inside out and I truly love every Poison song from 1986-1993... except 'Souls on fire' and yep, you guessed it... 'Stand'. No matter how much I love the band I always hated that song... and agree 'Fire and Ice' should be here in it's stead, or the beautiful 'Theatre of soul'. Still, great compilation from one of my all-time fave bands.

poison are the kings of cockrock! "talk dirty to me" "unskinny bop" "nothin but a good time" "sexual thing" when i hear those vintage poison songs all on 1 disc all i can think about is having sex with bret michaels or c.c deville!(but ive also been known to fool around with girls whenever i hear those sexy poison songs)! poison are great songwriters! THIS CD HAS ALL THE CLASSIC TRACKS!("stand" is wonderful song! "lay your body down" is very sensual it turns me on just thinking about it!

This is the only Poison release you need, and contains absolutely every essential song, and some would argue that even that's more than enough. Poison have always been a singles band whose albums were full of filler, so a greatest-hits CD is the perfect for them, much like Buckcherry. Over the years, I've gone from mildly liking Poison to outright hating them, but even I have to admit that this is a very well-put-together collection that doesn't overlook anything, includes the (few) hidden gems the band has. That's where the bulk of my rating comes from, but I almost never pull this disc out for my own listening. It's mainly a chick-pleaser, and I know that'll piss off the dozen or so dudes who actually claim to like Poison without adding something about how "chicks dig 'em," but fuck it. This band was a classic case of image over substance/talent.
