When I saw the rrack listing & that 2 of the songs were on the GH and some of the songs were from the UP special (= already heard), I didn't expect much. Luckily, I was wrong! NT will probably always be my fav & I'll have love for the 1st 3. Even though this was a '96 album (and 2000 release), to me, it fits perfectly with the early stuff. I usually only listen to the 1st 1/2 of the album (or 1/2+), but there are some gems, most notably tracks 1,2,4, &, the best, 3, Baby Gets Around a Bit. |

I really dig this cd. I liked it much more than Native Tongue. This is a lot more in the spirit of what Poison really is:a high energy rock band. Blues was a much better fit with the band than Kotzen. Basically this sounds like Poison, only with much better guitar playing. |

Blues Saraceno is super guitar player but this album note 7,5 .... |

This is one of those Poison albums that get lost in the shuffle. "Sexual Thing" riff is awesome and "Lay Your Body Down" is a solid ballad. Saraceno brought some real musicianship to the band (Kotzen did too), but C.C. was the piece they really needed. |

Good album by Poison...20 songs worth to check(except the ones we know for ages obviously/the last 4 ones/)...faves 'o mine are "Best Thing You Ever Had","Be The One"(nice),"Mr Smiley"(with a funk rock feel to it),"Sexual Thing"(rocks),"Lay Your Body Down"(great solid smoothie, the best cut IMHO),"Doin' As I Seen On My Tv"(rocks) & "Set You Free"(rocks)...recommended...88/100 |

The first 3 albums are classic's... no doubt. But i find after LWTCDI, this is the album i return to most. As with Poison's earlier releases this is chocked with great songs, expensive production and in Blues Saraceno a guitar player that actually fit and complemented the band. Bringing his own style & despite his amazing technique and set of skills, Saraceno never overplays his hand keeping very much in the tradition of CC. Playing for the song is what it's always been about. Re-enegized & returning to the more uptempo/lighter/playful vibe of the first two albums this album is bouyed by two killer ballads and a fistful of rockin' numbers whose couple of misses are easily outweighed by the many hits... Well worthy |

This is a really pleasant surprise. And, talk about value for money! The release date says 2000 but it is actually material recorded much earlier. New guitarist Blues Saraceno really provided a new sound but it fit the band nicely. Bret is his usual rockstar best. The new tracks are very strong and stand comfortably next to tge back catalogue. As a bonus you also get a set of tracks that were recorded for MTV Unplugged and they are excellent versions. Highly recommended album. Grade A. |

I haven't played this for a long time, but loved it when it was released. Completely agree Saraceno had a significant contribution to it. I think it was recorded in 1995/6. Best thing you ever had is one of my all-time Poison favorites. Baby Gets Around and No Ring are also excellent fun. |
