This cd would be a throwaway if it werent for "Angeline." That song honestly is one of the best power ballads of all time. Seriously, its that good. Too bad they can't replicate the same results with the other songs.

From: Chad Bell Date: October 24, 2004 at 17:49
C'mon-You can't possibly call this cd a throwaway. With a sound reminiscent of Motley Crue's "Too Fast for Love" and Ratt debut EP, how can you say this is a throwaway?

This broad is on crack!!! This is the best cd I have heard in this era of rock. They rank up there with Aerosmith and Bon Jovi... This band is classic. I think she is confused with that remake band Velvet Revolver who done nothing but redo the G'N'R album. Slang keeps it true to rock.

I love Simply Slang EP. The tracks rocks. "Rock n roll chain gang" takes me back to my days in a band. "Live 4 the weekend" Is simply a bar song to get drunk and fuck around with the ladies. Plus the cd got me laid I am forever in debt.

Its okay but too punkish for me though, sounds like the Ramones and Aerosmith mixed together. I dont like the singers voice either.

From: Greg Hanson Date: January 10, 2005 at 22:18
I think these guys rock but I dont consider em a glam band, more like punk.

From: Chad Bell Date: January 23, 2005 at 4:43
To Greg and Jake: I think the punkiness that you hear is attributed to Aaron's piercing vocal style (sounds like a cross between Mike Patton of Faith No More and Billy Corgan from the Smashing Pumpkins) and the DIY trashy sound of the EP. Otherwise, Simply Slang are a straight-up hard rock band. And while i'll admit that they are more on the "sleaze" than "glam" side, they DEFINATELY aren't a punk band.

I love this band, but honestly they sound better live. The cd makes them sound a little too tame. This singer is sooooo cute though!

I've heard Simply SLang many times (cd and live) and I by far don't this Aaron Morales sounds anything like Billy Corgan or Mike Patton. He has his own style, and if I had to say he sounds like anyone it would be equal parts of Stephen Pearcy, Bret Michaels and Vince Neil mixed with Alice Cooper. And I don't hear the Ramones in Simply Slang. Maybe New York Dolls, but that about all the punk I hear here, IMHO.
