| Pretty good album with some cool cover versions! Phil has a pretty unique voice but he fits these songs perfectly! Doesnt suffer at all from Tracii being absent!

| I was greatly impressed with this cd. I wasn't expecting much considering Tracii Guns was nowhere to be found. This is worth a decent 8/10

| Despite the reservations I had when I heard this was an all covers album...I was pleasantly surprised!!! Standouts for me were 'Wheels Of Steel', 'Rock N' Roll Outlaw' and 'I Just Want To Make Love To You'.

| 'I Just Want To Make Love To You' <---- That wasn't a foghat tune. Foghat covered that song as well, but I don't think it's their song? I can't remember who wrote and recorded that song first? Anyone?... Anyone?...

| Blues songwriter Willie Dixon wrote 'I Just Want To Make Love To You' but it's been covered by many artists including Foghat, Van Morison and Chuck Berry.

| A killer cover album in my opinion. Specialy the songs WHEELS OF STEEL and ROCK AND ROLL OUTLAW. Great that they didnt forget about the NWOBHM with SAXON.

| This is a great cd. Phil Lewis sounds great and the new guitarist stacey blades is quite impressive. The band picked some good songs to cover, the highlights include 'For Your Love' by Hanoi rocks, and 'Marsielles'. I see the band is going on tour this summer. I wish they would concentrate on an album of original material because this new lineup rocks.

| I guess Tracii wasn't such hot shit after all, huh? He can go on and keep pretending he's a punk kid if that's what he wants, L.A. Guns, the band he dicked over, doesn't seem to be hurting much. Nashville Pussy still do a better version of 'R&R Outlaw' though.

| Hey Jason....'I just wanna make love to you' was written by Mississippi Bluesman Willie Dixon..FOR...Muddy Waters. He also wrote 'Hoochie Coochie Man' for Waters, as well as 'Wang Dang Doodle' for Koko Taylor and 'Back Door Man' for Howlin Wolf. Willie Dixon sued Led Zepplin for 'Whole Lotta Love', for which Zep later gave writing credits to Dixon....Dixon's original was 'You need Love'. He died in '92.

| Fairly raw and stripped back, these covers are actually quite good. A nice addition to one's L.A. Guns collection. The Saxon cover and the Rose Tattoo cover are the best tracks.

| I think by saying it was a Foghat cover was because thats the version they based it on. Foghats was a rather different tempo to the far slower original. Its kinda like when people say Rockin all over the world is a Status Quo song,or Once bitten is a Great White song.

Just got around to picking this one up. Definitely the best cash I've spent on a new release in quite a while! If I hit the repeat button on 'Wheels Of Steel' one more time my husband's gonna kill me...

| There is one weak place here - Aerosmith's cover - first solo is just awful. Maybe Phil have played it himself?

| Seems to me all the personnel changes can only mean one thing: They sucked in their last band , they suck individually and they suck in LA Guns. Come to think of it, LA Guns has always sucked.

| Strong comments from Pro-Pain in the ass. Notice how he does not put much into his thoughts other than they suck. His reviews mean nothing to me. Nothing but a quick pass over when I see his name. LA Guns is and will always be a quality hard rock band. Did they put out some bad albums, yes. But in their defense it was in the mid to late 90's when the music scene pro-paned (sucked) and all bands were grasping at anything to get heard. Phil,Steve and the boys are still putting out quality tunes

| I hate covers albums in general, but I must say LA Guns did okay here. Good hard rock release, though I'd prefer it if they'd just recorded a new CD of original material.

| Ok. Yes there a boat load of cover's album out there...however I was compelled to review this one too. First of all, this is how you do a cover's album! This is just about perfect, IMO. The song selection is really good, the production is great the band is tight. The only thing that makes this release a tad bit annoying is the "live" tracks at the end - not needed IMO, studio versions preferred. PROS: song selection, production, sound, groove, LA GUNS! CONS: the two live tracks. "A"

Every self respected band once in a while releases a tribute album...L.A Guns was not the exception...and well..what do we have in here...a quite respectable covers album  !!!..."Rock 'N' Roll Outlaw","Tie Your Mother Down" & "Wheels Of Steel" are the ones that caught my attention but honestly all the covers have that particular touch that only L.A Guns know how to do...the album brings a couple of extra live tracks being "Don't Look At Me That Way" a  one...89/100

| Been listening to this one today, fun album, Guns did a nice job on this one. "Wheels of Steel" is the standout, IMO.
