First of all don't pay attention to the horrible filler song sang in spanish "Araña Negra"(Black Spider)...terrible indeed!!!,a big mistake and for a B/T is quite out of place...anyway about the rest of the songs,you have some very good ones starting with "Hollywood Forever"(kick a**!),"Vine Street Shimmy","Dirty Black Night","Queenie" & "Venus Bomb"(rocks!)...Phil Lewis is back on track!!!...90/100

| I waited for this one with great anticipation after a short string of releases that approached greatness. Well, seven long years later, and we get a very unspectacular disc from Phil, Steve and the gang. There are good songs like "Vine St. Shimmy," "Dirty Black Night," "Underneath The Sun," "Sweet Mystery" and "Requiem" ... but ... I dunno. the hooks just don't seem to be there. Even the best songs aren't terribly memorable. I just can't see this as anything but somewhat of a disappointment. I ran it by my girlfriend, a huge L.A. Guns, and even she wasn't feelin' it, her comment being, "Well, it's definitely not Tales From The Strip." Said Phil was sounding kinda tired, but I thought he sounds pretty much like he always does. I do think they should quit spending alll their money on Andy Johns, because the production really is pretty cheap-sounding.

| Good cd all the way through (with the exception of Arana Negra) with the classic LA Guns sound / style...but as Doghouse mentioned, not as memorable as "Tales From The Strip"....still worth buying if you are a fan of the band...As for Andy Johns, I agree that this is not his best production job...THAT was on the "Waking The Dead" CD...

| Stylistically, this reminds me the most of Hollywood Vampires. Make of that what you will. As of tnoight, I'm deleting it from my MP3 player (which doesn't have a lot of memory, so I allot one album per band) and replacing it with Cocked And Loaded. Hollywood Forever just isn't doing it for me. I gave it a pretty mediocre rating of 71/100.

| Just dug this one out to listen to it again, and I have to say its quite possibly the best album they have done since Vicious circle. Theres been a lot of great stuff on previous releases, but this one for me just has a lot more top class songs than the likes of Man in the moon and Tales from the strip, for example. The only thing it lacks for me is a classic heart wrenching LA Guns ballad. The ballads/slower songs on here just dont tug at the strings like the old ones used to. Hell, I even love the spanish track despite not understanding a word of it as the tune is catchy as hell.

| I enjoy this album, and am going to miss Stacey Blades. His playing on this and Tales From The Strip was excellent, and helped these efforts tremendously. For those who liked Tales From the Strip, this one also is worth your time. I give "Tales.." the slight edge over this one, not exactly sure why (maybe Blades had more solos on it?). BUT, I very much enjoy "Queenie", "Vine St. Shimmy", "You Better Not Love Me", "I Won't Play", "Eel Pie", "Burn" and more off this. A fine release, with memorable songs for the LA Guns catalog.

| Love it! It's a shame that Stacey is not longer involved with the Guns. I didn't care much when Tracii made tracks but I'm not so sure about not missing Mr. Blades. Anyway, thanks for 2 excellent Cd's.

| excellent release for the mighty LA GUNS and these guys seem like they will nver stop delivering their raw straight sleazy hard rock music with a def street feel!Phil s vocals are sensational and also the lyrics are quite clever !best songs are "you better not love me","vine st shimmy","dirty black night" ,"underneath the sun" and "queenie"!nobody can do it like them ..still

| I listened to this again and, maybe I was in just the right mood, but my opinion has improved a fair bit. The songs I like best are still the ones that jumped out to me at first, along with "Eel Pie," but I'm liking them more than I did back then as well, especially "Vine Street Shimmy" and "Dirty Black Night."
