The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular L.A. Guns CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. EPs and CD-singles from L.A. Guns are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

And this is not a bootie?

From: rene Date: December 14, 2005 at 15:24
No, i dont think its a bootleg. I think its released by PAUL BLACK him self. I will always like PHIL LEWIS more but this is not a bad release. For LA GUNS fans, SLEAZY and glam/hard rock fans, a must have release.

I've always liked LA Guns, but really didn't get into this release. Raw, unpolished hard rock, but to be honest most of it is not very good at all, IMO. 'Love is a crime' is a highlight for me, there are a couple (literally) of other decent songs, but I wouldn't even really recommend this to the LA Guns completist. Spend your money on the excellent 'Tales from the strip' instead.

Its amazing how Black has rewritten the history of LA Guns to make himself seem like he was their biggest draw.

Ok, I have finally gotten round to actually listening to this and boy, what a pile of shit! Paul Black may very well have written some of the earlier songs that were released on the debut album, but thankfully they were re-written for the most part, as his lyrics are terrible! If the debut had been recorded with Black on vocals, there never would have been a second album! Guns is deluding himself that his LA Guns is the real deal!

Personally I like this release ALOT. I prefer Paul voice over Phil. L.A.P.D. is by far my fave Guns song. Like it or not Paul was a pivotal part of the bands existence. I prefer the glam style here more than the white trash sleaze of Phil. Don't get me wrong I LOVE both versions of the band and im sorry but Tracii's Guns are the real deal. Not as known but like it or not facts are facts.

From: CC Date: October 14, 2008 at 17:01
Which facts would that be? The fact that Paul was out of the band before they recorded and released their first album? Or the fact that Tracii jumped ship and was quite happy to let the band continue, cause he thought Brides Of Destruction was his ticket to fame and fortune, and has then turned into a bitch because it didnt work out? Sorry, but any LA Guns not fronted by Phil Lewis, is certainly not the real LA Guns, especially one that has such a shitty vocalist like Black. Whats next, claiming Deep Purple with Ian Gillan on vox isnt the real deal, or Journey with Steve Perry isnt the real deal, because they werent the original singers? Maybe Dianno, Burr & Stratton should form a group and claim to be the real Iron Maiden!

From: edwithmj Date: February 6, 2009 at 23:49
Well put CC. Phil Lewis's voice IS LA Guns and no one can take over from him. Tracii should rejoin but he's too proud to go slinking back to them. Black has left again I heard anyway.

From: tixE Date: May 10, 2009 at 20:02
This is down right embarrassing, the only thing more embarrassing is seeing this version of the band live. If you listen/see Paul black with L.A. Guns you understand why he was dropped. Listen to this album then listen to Tales Of the Sunset Strip and its not hard to figure out who the real version of the band is. Traci is a talent but as talented as he is he can't polish this crap. Lots of bands have revolving doors before they settle on a lineup that works Paul was yet another piece that was plugged in and discarded because he simply didn't work

From: CC Date: September 10, 2009 at 16:35
What makes this even funnier is that Black has pissed off again, and now Jizzy Pearl is "back" on vocals. Christ Tracii, man up and admit you fucked up by quitting the band and ask the REAL LA Guns to let you back on board. You are turning into a joke, which is a shame as you are a true guitar talent, and better than a lot of guitarists from the 80s.

very interesting release by Paul Black ,that shows his contribution to the mighty LA GUNS.i surely prefer Phil on board but the history of one of the biggest hard rock acts cannot change.raw power ,attitude, anthemic songs and the whole result is so hard rockin!the early recordings of LA GUNS s 1st release and "stranded in LA","name your poison","love is a crime" are the highlights.this one is a must have for die hard fans like me
