I love the cover of this album. Cool 70s influenced hard rock but with a nice 80s touch, even some NWOBHM influences(yes, this is true). Good album with cool songs. All DEEP PURPLE and late 70s and early 80s hard rock lovers, BUY THIS ALBUM.

Gillan please any crowd live. Smoke on the water is burned out but check out Bite the bullet.

Ian Gillan and his band of rag-tag cohorts are masters at so many different styles, yet they manage to gel them all together so that the band sounds like they have direction, rather than running in twenty different directions. This particular album has it all; blazing fast rockers, with an almost punk edge, mid-paced rockers, hard British blues, and even the mellow ballad. An amazing album!

Exactly Rene!!!..the cover rocks the hell out!!!...got this release on vinyl and it has one of the most notorious front covers ever in rock IMO...about the tracks, well some rocking goodies in here such as "Night Ride Out Of Phoenix","The Ballad Of Lucitania Express","Sacre Bleu","Bite The Bullet" & "For Your Dreams"...there are 2 re-releases of this album, one of 1989 and one of 2007 with a lot of bonus tracks included...80/100
