the song 'robber of life' is seriously in my personal top 10 of all times...this band is the greatest thing in recent rock n roll history.. long live backyard babies

A truly stunning release... one of the best rock albums of the post-grunge era. It's glammy, sleazy, trashy, punky, filthy, raw, dirty, loud, abrasive, heavy, melodic, catchy, sing-alongable, headbanging, air-guitar-heaven... everything you could want from a rock record and more. Truly awesome, 9.5/10

If you like Hardcore Superstar, I suggest you purchase this CD because this is, IMO, much better. Good snappy hard rock, but you really have to be in the mood to listen to this. Very good for what it is.

The Babies have reinvented themselves and it's for the better I think. Gone is the more melodic, almost 80's metal sound of "Desiel And Power". It's been replaced by a much more raw, almost punkish sound. If you like your rock n roll nice and sleezy, but with it's own type of melody, then this is the sh*t for you. "U.F.O. Romeo", "Highlights", "Made Me Madman", and "Look At You" are monster slabs of fun time, no care, no frills rock n roll. Somewhat hit or miss, but still excellent!

I don't think this 1998 album gets the love it deserves. Truly from the school of Guns N Roses if Duff was the main man and not Axl. For me, it's my go-to from 1998, especially the blistering highlight "Highlights" which I dare anyone who professes to love sleaze metal say it isn't a classic!

very good release for BACKYARD BABIES back in 98 moving to a more punk sound that really suits them with tons of energy and electricity, strong songs with clever lyrics and a fine sleazy trashy vibe !what s missing is the total lack of 80s oldschool hard rockmusic that would make Total 13 a masterpiece
