If you notice that a particular Gun Shy CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Killer CD - absolutely !!!!!

There's no need for fans of that big late 80s-style melodic hard rock sound to be gunshy about this album, as it's some high-quality stuff within that particular musical genre. After listening to the loud guitars, thick hooks, and great choruses, you'll wonder why this band isn't as well known as groups like Helix, Hurricane, or Joker, because they're every bit as good. Don't be left out in the dark on this one...pick up your copy ASAP and get ready for some excellent hard rock.

Finally got this one, and delighted to have done so. Killer mid-tempo melodic gem? Check- 'Cry in the night'. Awesome hard rocker? Check- 'Something wicked'. Killer commercial hook-driven anthem-type gem? Check- 'Hold on to yesterday'. Big 80's ballad? Half marks for the very nice but not brilliant 'Don't go away'. Elsewhere, the first 2 are great hard rock tracks, the last 2 are fillers and the bonus stuff is pretty cool. I like this disc.

Excellent Hard Rock CD. Gun Shy delivers 80's melodic Hard Rock with killer songs , guitars and vocals. This band should have made it big. Just listen to the songs Hellluva Time, Cry In The Dark, Something Wicked, Hold On To Yesterday, Hard Life and also the killer version of Black Sabbath's N.I.B. Also the bonus tracks make this a worth while purchase. Rated 9/10.

I don't know why everybody on this page are talking about "hold on to yesterday" The only song there is worth a listening is "Don't go away"

From: z4roxx Date: November 26, 2006 at 11:11
If you like Heavens Edge you’ll appreciate also this band.Nothing spectacular ok but good hair metal/sleaze from the States,singer/choruses are decent, musicians are ok.Sincerely I really don t understand these kind of re-issues:they put several live/cover bonus,if you don t have inhedit demo material or songs by the band, please don’t put nothing,it will be better!!Dear Perris, why, did you cut the rain’s passage between 3th and 4th track????Ahahahaha horrible work!

From: BIG-TIME Date: May 31, 2007 at 13:15
Dont like this at all music is flat the singer is to dark and depressing for me no big hooks at all and the choruses are lame. I agree with the Heavans Edge sound...defo the second album but a lot darker dont know why there is so much praise about this, basic and boring rock...KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

From: 7Sinner Date: June 2, 2007 at 18:13
I've got to say that while this release isn't terrible , it doesn't have any songs that stick with me after repeated listens....

From: hair metal again Date: November 29, 2009 at 2:44
excellent hair metal release ,under the guidance of michael kelly smith in production.strong guitars, many good songs, big choruses.listen to the fantastic "cry in the night",to the big hit "hold on to yesterday" and to the hardrocker "helluva time".these guys surely worth your attention and its a fine addition to your collection
