| Good album by an underrated band. Very raw and felt almost pop punk before we had pop punk. Serpentine was a great cut, the rest is average for this band, but good none the less.

| This cd has stayed in my top 10 playlist for about 15 years. I would love to see them play in a bar. They'd rock the dump. Love every track on the album.

| Very underated band that never got the respect they deserve. Had decent air play in Rock Radio in Canada in late 80's/ Early 90's but unfortunately Grunge put end to kick ass guitar rock..

| A little left-of-center hard rock. Not my cup of Tetley, but good for what it is, I suppose. These guys have a bit of Social Distortion flavor to their sound, a bit too grainy and raw for my tastes.

| This is a really good, straight-ahead anthemic hard rock cd. Black Leather is such an awesome song with a catchy chorus. Serpentine's a great song, and Vicious Delicious is an original song. Better than Full Frontal Attack, where the drummer needs to be put in a straightjacket (he is just too over-aggressive).

| Used to see this band around Sydney alot. Playing pubs & clubs.One of the best live bands I ve seen. Had a big cult following but never got the commercial success they should have.

| Serpentine is one of the classics of Australian hard rock. Pity the "Kings" never made it big. Countdown has some clips of the band, if you can find them.....

| I saw these dudes when the backed up Guns & Roses, they absolutly blew the Gunners of the stage. After they finished the crowd did'nt want the Gunners to come on and kept callin the "KINGS" back on for an oncore. Go KINGS

| illewsu a fellow Aussie , good to see you stick up for the home grown !!!!! They were pretty good and if Black Leather {what a video clip} had ever got a fair go in those days , it would have been a hit just like another home grown "The Bombers" The Worlds On Fire, which is one of the best songs to come out of Oz !!!!!

| I recall seeing the Kings at their fav venue, the Kardomah Cafe in Kings Cross. When, they were on fire, there was not a better live band. Come back Kings of the Sun!! The rock world needs you.

| Jeez Clix, you'll probably make a fortune out of those unreleased songs and vids! I've seen them, folks, and they're a must for any true Kings fan. Speshly the Kiss support at Carrara where a Kiss roadie furiously remonstrates with the Kings to stop playing 'Lick It Up'. Dave, i totally agree with you about the Bombers song 'Worlds on Fire'. I drove from Melbourne to Sydney with that song on constant repeat one night and i still wasn't sick of it. Wonder what happened to the singer.

| Looks like I'm in the minority on this one. Just couldn't get past the horrible 8th grade lyrics and production that sounded like they recorded this in a garage. Most of the tunes are catchy but something seems to be missing.

| Blue Tequilla, don't think you're too alone here. I'm an Aussie and love the country, but doesn't mean I wear green and gold glasses for everything I see or hear. I love BB Steal, Candy Harlots, Roxus and the like, but IMO this was as average as you get. Such ordinary hard rock - no songs I liked. Glad to see they made a name for themselves and best of luck to them, but this is pretty damn poor hard rock, IMO.

| Typical australian no-nonsense straight forward rock like Angelcity/the angels, Rose Tattoo or Screaming jets. Nice, but nothing really special. Same goes for the second album.7/10

| one of the underrated bands ever this album is not so straight rocking then the 2nd one but still very good time rock and roll

| This is pure Aussie hard rock in the tradition of pub greats like ACDC, the Angels or Rose Tattoo. Some past reviewers must have cotton wool in their ears or maybe they just like to be contrary for the sake of it? I challenge anyone to listen to "Serpentine" and say it's no good in all seriousness.
