|These guys do exhibit quite a bit of Dokken influence in their music, but IMO, their songs are nowhere near as memorable as anything from Don & the boys. Don't get me wrong, this CD doesn't suck by any means, it's just kinda "eh" for me. These guys later changed their name to Water's Edge, and released a CD called "Pool" which I actually liked a bit better than this one. A little more on the modern side of rock, but they pulled the sound off well...

|These guys are from Western NY where I am from, well at least they were when they first started out. They put out a tape called "Rockin Thru the 80's" when they were playing clubs up there that is AWESOME and very Dokken-esque, especially the guitar playing. If you can find that recording anywhere, good luck and definitely pick it up. My brother and I have it still after all these years and listen to it every chance we get. I also have "Time Out of Mind" and I really like it. Especially "Univers

|I've seen Ice Water Mansion Many times as they always played a club near me in Ithaca,,ny Rockin thru the 80's was a great tape as a matter of fact i've just transfered it to cd and it still sounds great. Time out of mind has some good songs but the production could have been better.

|This CD grows on you. At first I thought it was so so but the more I listen to it the better it gets. Great hard rock, guitars sound like early Dokken (Breaking The Chains/Tooth And Nail) and the vocalist reminds me of Tate from Queensryche at times. A very enjoyable hard rock CD. I would recommend it. I'd give it an 8 out of 10 (after many times listening to it).

|Hi all, does anybody know if Pool was the first & last Water's Edge release? Anybody have any after Pool information? Did they disband again after that? Has anybody heard of any of the musicians still playing anywhere in another band or whatever. It's hard to imagine that they would give up playing when they are VERY good at it. I saw Glen warming up for a show once. It was just him playing & the sound was so intricate and mesmerizing. I was awestruck. It would be nice to hear that again.

|well now. i've just got this rare indie.and is it worth the big money you ask?sadley not.don't get me wrong.its not bad.but this has a grounge under tone to it.which ain't my thing at all.i can see why they went more grounge.on their waters edge.the vocals are a bit life less as well.glad i only paid $51 for it.best indie i've bought this year.has to be the audio mob.top class.

|I grew up with these guys as well. All the clubs and special jambories they used to play. Their live show was really good. I can't beleive that their cd's are going for that much. I would really like to see a reunion. I see G Thorp a lot when im back visiting home. He works as one of the best soundmen for another band. I always thought that their music was a lot of Queensryche. Very solid story telling in all their lyrics. I have gotten a lot of people turned on to them. Too bad they split years

|Hi, folks. Just a note to let you know Glenn Thorp is alive and well. He's the sound man for the band Lucky Number. I'm the bass player. You can see current photos and info on Glenn at our web site, www.luckynumberband.com . If you happen to come to one of our gigs, please go to the sound board and say hi to Glenn... He's as good at the mix as he is on guitar!

|Hello all, I just found this site. I am Ken the bass player and co-writer for the last 8 years of IWM'S existence. I also played and co-wrote on the Water's Edge CD. I just wanted to say THANK YOU!!for all of the cool comments, especially after all these years. Glenn and I have spoken MANY times about a reunion but we don't see it happening....at least not soon....by the way it has been 10 years since we played together...time flies. THANKS AGAIN!!!! KEN

|As someone above stated "better version than Dokken". Please, gain your sanity again & don't mislead anybody here. Yes, this band does have a slight Dokken sound mixed with a Geoff Tate type vocalist. But better? lol. Also, beware that there is also an element of grunge within some of these tunes.

|hahaha "Believe it or not but these guys are a better version of Dokken!!!" you are kidding David, que loco este chico Dokken son Dokken ellos no se pueden comparar y punto, ahora esta banda se parece a Dokken en el cantante pero el estilo nada que ver es como si Alice In Chains(buena banda) hicieran Hard Rock ya que tienen su estilo en fin esta en algo el disco pero Dokken jaja no me hagan reir, tiene algunos buenos temas pero otros aburridos y falta eso que te engancha 7.5/10

|does anyone have a copy of Time Out of Mind CD for Ice Water Mansion? I seen these guys in Michigan and was blown away by them because bands like them did not come through our town very often. I don't know why these guys never made it big. I too think with that kind of talent you need to keep at it if you love it. DO what you love, love what you do. Anyway I would love to have a copy of those songs that are on that CD. any responses would be greatly appreciated.

|Good music.. Can't say I've seen it on sale, but if I recall i've seen it for sale a number of times. So you may have luck finding it, but until then feel free to message me about a cdr email@example.com which reminds me, I'm looking for the bands first release, Rockin' Through the 80s? Thanks
