Absolutely, without doubt the best CD of 2006 so far, and it's going to be hard to beat. 'Rock my ride' is a huge commercial hard rock opener, followed by one of my faves, 'Slave to love' - a surprisingly mellow track, but oozing commercial class. 'Gonna get you someday' is f*cking MASSIVE! Huge hooks, a hit by anyone's standards... except current charts. Speaking of hits, 'Bygone zone' is completely essential commercial rock, an amazing ballad and my pick of the disc. Stunning. The rest are

...all killer commercial hard rockers, especially 'Dare devil heat', 'Kill my rock n'roll' and 'Rock n'roll girl like you' being my faves. 'Breaking all the rules' is amusing and great too. The ballad to break it all up 'At the end of the day' is also very nice. Basically, this CD is perfect commercial hard rock and every fan of 80's rock will love it, I'm sure. The guys are in such an amazing song-writing groove, and I'd label this CD essential.

From: sluss528 Date: April 3, 2006 at 12:27
easy geoff easy! this is good but not as good as the debut.good solid commercial hard rock.catchy songs with spot on production.a little weak in the song writing dept.though. 8/10 now for album of the year, the new buckcherry cd 15 blows this thing away.it is so sleezy and raunchy that you will be sporting a woody for weeks! go get it and let me know. mark

From: 80sMetal1 Date: April 4, 2006 at 3:06
Damn, I've only listened to this CD twice and I love it already. IMO, this one's much better than the debut (which is great too). These songs are just catchy as hell yet still have smooth and crunching guitar riffs. And some of the choruses (Gonna Get You Someday and Bygone Zone) are just memorable. And Rock My Ride and RNR Girl Like You are just uplifting great songs to crank up while driving. Really awesome album!!

From: TIM (2) Date: April 4, 2006 at 4:07
Another mix of Glam, Hard Rock, & AOR - as well as some horribly annoying cheesy song interludes - onto one CD, & anyone who enjoyed the debut can't really fail to enjoy this as it's definitely more of the same. It still suffers some inconsistency problems IMO, but the best tracks are truly immense. 'Bygone Zone' is utter commercial heaven, & ought to be song of the year. In fact tracks 3-7 are all very classy indeed, & despite tailing off badly at the end it's still a very good CD. 8/10.

Another thumbs up from me. Absolutely loved the '667../Kiev debut, which was one of my top albums of 2004 & 2005. As TIM (2) says, you can't really go wrong with this if you liked that one, as This pretty much continues the winning formula of the debut with some great great, fun rock songs 'Bygone Zone','Rock 'n'Roll Girl'& 'Gonna Get You'. Overall, I still prefer the debut as I feel it had a couple of more killer tunes onboard, but that is not to take anything away from this one. Excellent stuff

All right, just got my hands on this one, and I'm wiggin' out here! This sucker slammed (or should I say, wammed) my ears with its phenomenal, jaw-droppingly-awesome melodic hard rock perfection, with some absolutely unbelievably catchy hooks and choruses that are even more massive than Axl Rose's ego. You can bet every last hair on your chinny-chin-chin that you won't hear a better glam-metal CD this year. Most fans of this sort of music are going utterly maniacal for this CD and justly so.

From: twisted_vikki Date: April 7, 2006 at 7:04

Holy crap. This will be very hard to beat for the best album of 2006. This sucker rocks! Best new CD I've heard since Crashdiet.

From: Swazi Date: May 2, 2006 at 2:33
Wow !! I am impressed ! Even after the first listening session this one blew me away ! At the moment I can't tell which Wig Wam I prefer, the Hard to be a R&R or this one. As most people on the board my favourite songs are Slave to your Love and Bygone Zone. It does trail off a little in quality at the end, but what the hell ! Go and get it !!

From: Muddley Date: May 8, 2006 at 22:55
This is an amazing album. There are no weak songs. And I cant remember when I heard an album with no weak songs before.....must have been 15 years ago or so.

From: Erik Date: May 12, 2006 at 11:50

This is an absolutely killer Melodic Hard Rock release of the highest order. Way better second time around. This CD totally ROCKS with catchy songs, great vocals and awesome guitars. This has that Big arena rock sound. You can hear the early Bon Jovi/Def Leppard sound throughout this CD. Best songs are Rock my Ride,Slave To Your Love(awesome),Gonna Get You SomeDay(killer song),Bygone Zone,Kill My Rock n Roll,A R&R Girl Like You. BUY!!! Rated 9.5/10.

From: Chad Date: July 7, 2006 at 2:06
Easily #1 in my book for album of the year in 2006. Like Geoff said, it will be tough to beat. Stellar and no Filler. Get it and rock out. So hard to come by this music in our day and age. So refreshing to hear a throwback to the 80's roots.

From: Helix Date: July 7, 2006 at 18:07

From: z4roxx Date: August 21, 2006 at 13:00
How is possible to say which is better? For me it’s impossible, ultra mega melodick songs, both instrumental songs in the 2 cds’are also interesting…It’s commercial melodick hard rock but it’s absolute no generic, and every song is different and catchy in a different way…What a great band, the best in the genre since a very long time IMO.

From: Lennie Date: September 20, 2006 at 9:39
Pretty much agree with everything written here. Great party melodic rock. Definitely one of my fav releases of 06. I do tend to find that the album fades a little towards the end & could have included a couple more killer solos (hence not quite as strong as the debut??), but tracks 2-6 are all awesome and amongst the best songs of the year. Fav is 'Slave To Your Love' which starts mellow, but then the fantastic chorus just rips through the speakers and leaves you in melodic rock heaven.

From: Piegas Date: November 25, 2006 at 17:23
AWESOME! The best elements of 80s Hard Rock/Metal combined in one album! WIG WAMANIA I just can't stop listening this album!

From: Metalmusicman Date: December 9, 2006 at 18:21
It's amazing to me that 4 guys who look so riddiculous could have put out one of the best discs of the year. I am just blown away! This is even better than 'Hard To Be A Rock N Roller', and thats a feat in it's self. 'Gonna Get You Someday', 'Bygone Zone', and 'Daredevil Heat' will without a doubt make my top 10 list for songs of the year. If you like great feel good rock n roll, then you MUST own this disc!!!

From: george_the_jack Date: January 30, 2007 at 19:34
not as massive as the debut.....the voice of glam is from outer space!

From: Sex Driver Date: May 3, 2007 at 13:12
OH! I was delected 'Sorry' I won't speak a lot only that is Highly Recommended! I guess wasn't said it 10/10.

From: onemorecast Date: May 12, 2007 at 2:10
I've been watching their videos on youtube, and they're hilarious. The songs are so catchy it is amazing. They remind me of the Darkness with a better singer.

From: metalmastermusic Date: May 23, 2007 at 21:33
This is the best release to come out in some years, great straight ahead melodic metal. This takes you back to the 80's and them some. Amazing guitar work and killer vocals. I am eagerly awaiting all the rest of the their albums. 9.5/10

From: Nightrain Date: September 1, 2007 at 2:03
WIG WAM proved that their musicianship grows more mature and the songwriting skill is top notch. Bringing the massive hooks of BON JOVI, DEF LEPPARD, and KISS from their heyday, tracks like 'Rock My Ride','Gonna Get You Someday',and 'Kill My Rock And Roll' are essentials. While 'At The End of The Day' is also a killer ballad, 'Bygone Zone' is probably the best ballad that ever came out in 2006. This is indeed an excellent addition to your melodic hard rock collection!

From: RockMan10 Date: May 24, 2008 at 2:31
Really thought this band was a big joke when I saw the attire. It didn't take me long to find out how huge this disc was. This, I believe, went a LONG way into bringing the "mainstream" 80's sound back in full force. This is a genre bending disc for 2006. Not in that the songs were groundbreaking but in the fact that no other band had done this good of job with this sound in a good 15-20 years. I find very little to not like. 97/100

From: rick kerch vzla Date: May 24, 2009 at 17:51
Love this album and really do not understand how this band hasn't gotten the attetion they deserve!!!...great songs with that Hard Rock/Glam attitude that some american bands have lost.Anyway to mention any particular song is kinda hard coz there ins't a real filler here (at least 4 me).."Dare Devil","Kill My Rock'n'Roll","Slave To Your Love" and so on...simply great songs!!!.For fans of Europe,Def Leppard and Bon Jovi(their old stuff)might be an appealing one 2 get!!!.95/100

From: hair metal again Date: August 13, 2010 at 4:51
fantastic release by those talented crazy rockers.you gotta hear this:strong personality, big commercial choruses, huge guitar riffs, sensational mid tempo moments, wow!listen to the "bygone zone","gonna get you someday", to the great ballad "at the end of my day" and th the amazing rockers "dare devil heat","kill my rock n roll".this release is strong, melodic, fresh and the most important WIG WAM is a great live band, cause thats whats rock n roll is all about and not just projects and programming like most of new releases.

From: 123charpenay Date: October 30, 2012 at 12:51
this record follow the path of their first extraordinary album.it is exactly in the same vein.ok the surprise effect is finish but wow that s great.these norvegian guys are very talented.all choruses stays in your brain all day long.track 8 is a super class instumental.the japan import is a must have cause there is 3 bonus tracks.track 13 is a bomb a real hit, track 14 a great song but really distroy cause it s the guitarist who is singing it s a nightmare, and for finish in a fireworks track 15 is a live version (with a symphonic orchestra)of "in my dreams".
