| For the curious, this features former New England keyboardist Jimmy Waldo. Great AOR, a bit uneven, but you won't care as 'No More Heartaches' takes hold (originally done by KBC Band, and in more explosive form here). 'Heart in Pain' is another winner. I believe this was originally recorded in the late 80s, this keyboard-loaded creature is recommended for fans of Last Cry, The Vu, Burn (So Far, So Bad), etc.

| In the main they have a strong driving melodic attack, like a North American version of Swedish wonders Treat combined with that Alcatrazz pomp sound circa 'Disturbing The Peace'. The latter is obvious really considering where Jimmy Waldo fits in. It's also a 'big' sounding album too, with booming spacious sounding drums and glorious keyboard fills, while Sharaf's rhythm guitar parts has that Steve Dougherty trademark, so prevalent on the stuff he did with Eyes.

| I'm not sure I agree with the Treat comparison at all (Keeping in mind they are probably my favourite melodic hard rock band) because this CD doesn't really do much for me at all. Overall I guess it's okay AOR, but never really dragged me back to listen to it much... Okay I guess.

| This got my interest as it features ex New England's Jimmy Waldo. One of those releases that was recorded well before (10 years +) it was released (see also Vital Signs excellent s/t, Network's Crashing Hollywood),so i doubt very much that we'll see anything else by them, which is a shame as This is good quality Melodic Rock. Definately can't see the Treat reference (no Scandie sounds on this one). The FABULOUS 'Wrabit' spring to mind again on a couple of the tracks aswell as the bands mentioned

| I'm not sure this is the same band as the first one listed here at HH. They have a different sound and it looks like an entirely new lineup as well. Don't believe it is the same band. Anyway I've got this disc as well and it is better than the other supposive first album. This is very melodic metal excellent vox in my opinion. Get this one if you can it really is quite good. Production is average but not bad. 78/100

| It's definetely another band! I have this cd as an AOR Heaven- Rock Classics release, seems like a rerelease. As it is stated in the booklet ''all songs by Cary Sharaff Copyright 1984 and 1988''. I don't know what exactly that would mean, there's no other information..

Great album!!!...loved Moki Demarco's voice  ..."No More Heartaches","Crazy For Love","Rolling Down That Road"(rocks!),"Love You One More Time"(catchy),"Always On The Run"(rocks!) & "When You Feel Lonely"(catchy)...this release is better than their "Flames" one of 1991...this one is a mix of good AOR songs with some hot rocking moments...90/100...recommended album...

| Info from Cd Baby: Under Fire is the brainchild of guitar whiz Cary Sharaf. After performing along side of Billy Squier on his Don't Say No album and your, Sharaf wanted to showcase his own songs and put together Under Fire. The ten song disc was recorded in the mid-80s but remained unreleased for many years due to music business red tape. Thankfully that is all done and fans of pure pop can now hear the great melodic rock effort. I have the Gb Music reissue from 2001.

| UNDER FIRE had some potential ,but to my ears this is just average and there are no any hooks in it!well performed traditional hard rock with many keys and some good songs ,but nothin spectacular!if you re a collector like me,get it cheap!

| "Under Fire’s sole release is something of a lost AOR classic, and the making of what might have been a minor super-group. The band was originally put together when New England and Alcatrazz keyboard player Jimmy Waldo met Billy Squier guitarist Cary Sharaf, and quickly formed a strong writing partnership, way back in 1988. They were joined by vocalist Moki Demarco, settling on Steve Schwartz and Greg Wise for drums and bass. With a modest budget the band recorded this eponymous album and played only one show, at The Roxy in Los Angeles.
