Aug. 20, 2025: Temporary Message Board ClosureThe company hosting the message board sprung a surprise price hike on me that would have more than tripled the monthly hosting costs, so I've been scrambling to find an alternative. I've purchased a license for self-hosting a different platform and am hiring a consultant to migrate the existing board's content (posts, user profiles, etc.). However, this means I need to shut down the message board for anywhere from 3 days to (hopefully less than) a week so the data can be migrated. While this is an expensive proposition up front, it should result in some long-term savings. The current message board will be closed down at some point this Saturday, August 23. I will post updates here. The main site (where you are reading this), will NOT be affected. -Dan |

What a nice surprise. This band's previous discs have pretty much gone in one ear and out the other, but this is by far their best CD yet. The first 5 songs are all excellent. 'My revenge' is the album's only filler but the last 4 tracks are good too. Big thumbs up to the band too, for a very brave hard rocking cover of 'What a feeling'. I love it when bands try something like this and pull it off. Great disc, recommended to fans of good melodic hard rock. |

Just got that one. Pretty good hard rock here, I have to agree with Geoff, their best so far. 'Lonely' is great, 'I Won't Call You' is nice one. I still think that 10 songs on a cd isn't enough today. Overall, worth to pick that one up. Enjoy! |

Killer album and highly but highly recommended!!!..not a single weak song (or well this is my appreciation)."Distant Voices" & "Another Paradise" are killer tunes,"Edge Of Life" really caught me,"I Won't Call You" is a fine AOR track,a highlight,"My Revenge" has a cool beat and has some very interesting prog metal elements,"What I've Never Seem" is wonderful, smooth and my favourite track,"What A Feeling" is a very nice cover originally sung by Irene Cara and was the main song of the 80's movie "Flashdance"(1984 i think),is incredible how you can turn a dance tune into a rocky one!,"Eye Of The Storm" is a solid powerful song with catchy vocal lines..a great release by this Italian band, really a must!.98/100 |

Good melodic hard rock with a feel of Bon Jovi's 1st two albums. Opening track "Distant voices" is a corker closely followed by album closer "Against the wall". Tracks 5,6 & 7 were slight disappointments for me but a big thumbs up to their version of Fame tune "What A feeling",. I'm not usually a fan of covers but this worked. |

I can only bow in front of the great work and professionalism of Edge of Forever, who together with DGM, are the most professional in Italy (Rhapsody or Vision Divine, unfortunately no longer, we are at the limit of amateur). Here Del Vecchio puts his own spin on it, and his passions, his workaholicism which I have often - almost always - criticized, become qualities in Edge of Forever. |
