I got this cd the other day. It really rocks!!! The Kiss song Domino sounds like a big rip-off of Nasty Nasty by the way

Used to have this n vinyl (mint) It got lost with other records and got severley scratched replacement from a 2nd hand shop, unfortunately barely playable. Its available on cd import apparantly, can anyone help at a reasonable price????

T-Bone is right.....the Kiss song Domino does sound like Nasty Nasty. It's got the same style of intro and basically the same story line behind the song lyrics. Considering that this song came out in 1986 and Domino was in 1992, Kiss actually ripped off a song!!! Who would have thought!!

Up till now, I still don't have a copy of this great album. I only have a cassette which is full of fungus now. I wonder why they don't do a remaster of their first 3 albums. Maybe they're underated, but I believe that their songs and music are still rockin' up till now. Hmmm... where's Nirvana or Pearl Jam??? They had long fade away... but 80s rock still kicking ass even after so many years...

Daniel, as much as I wish what you're saying is true, sadly Pearl Jam and Nirvana still receive roughly a zillion times more airplay than Black 'n' Blue ever had, or ever will. If it is true, I want to move to wherever you live...

Blue Charvel, I'm staying in Singapore. After much requests, our radio station featured an afternoon of 80s rock every weekdays in which alot of 80s bands' music are being airplay. Cos people are getting sick of nowadays music which don't have that kinda impact as the ones in the 80s.

Daniel, you're a lucky man. Anything of that nature around here is pretty much limited to late night radio shows. To avoid the tangent syndrome, I thought this album was better than "Without Love", but not as good as the self-titled.

I could not find krazy Planet anywhere. Sorry guys. As for Nasty,Nasty- it is a harder compliment to Without Love, but still has the same spirit. Remember, 1986/87 was a bad year for a lot of bands. The music was seeping towards a mindless KISS type of thing across the board. St. James was an unheralded master of the hard hook. "I Want it All" is a classic simple rock ditty that personifies life in 86. Image is everything and these guys were as boring as Heaven's Edge! No image=no $$$$$

While many feel that "In Heat" is BLACK N BLUE's worst CD, I feel this one ranks as the worst of the lot. That's not to say this is a bad effort, however, because it has some strong songs ("Do What You Wanna Do") & great hooks ("I'll Be There For You"). No, it can't compare to "Without Love" or the debut, but it's still worth adding to the collection, assuming you can afford the insane price tag. Sure, the band did better, but there's nothing nasty about this melodic hard rock release.

the band that should have made it big. i think they rock personly.i saw them on this tour with kiss they were great. by the way nasty does sound like domino, wonder if tommy thayer helped kiss on that song.

On this album you can tell the band was going for a more ruff around the edges sound w/Gene's touch. I read somewhere that on the song "nasty nasty" Gene did the 2nd half of the spit on the top of the song (for a healthy chunk of change i'm sure that greedy bastard). but all in all a realy powerfull kick ass record.

I really love the track 'I'll be there for you' and think it's worth this CD alone. Elsewhere, IMO, it's pretty standard hard rock. Not as catchy or melodic as earlier releases. A good solid release, but not a personal fave.

While a very good album, I feel that having Gene Simmons produce this one, hurt them. He brought a formula that did not adhere to this band. I think that the songs do stand up, he tried to make them too raw. It almost seemed like he tried to make them sound like a metal band. Metal they are not. Rock and roll for sure. Stand out tracks: the title track, I'll Be there for you, I want it all and Rules. This release kind of left me with wanting more or a feeling of being cheated. 7/10

I have the LP and see that not only did Jonathan Cain write "I'll be There For You", he produced the track while Gene produced all the others. I saw these guys with Night Ranger in '84 and loved them. My roomie at the time played High School baseball at Lake Oswego with Pat Young, the bass player.

hi-from COSTARICA,muy buen disco de BLACK N BLUE remasterizado por parte de majestic records al igual que toda su discografia de 4 albumes y con la produccion de GENE SIMMONS(KISS)al igual que el album de KEEL=THE FINAL FRONTIER.en este disco NASTY NASTY los BLACK N BLUE retoman su sonido original de 1984 aunque un poco mas fuerte,solo escucha la apertura de NASTY NASTY es muy pero muy inevitable compararla con DOMINO el tema de KISS del album REVENGE de 1992 en los acordes de la guitarra.asi es

escuchala y veras como se parecen.I WANT IT ALL otro de los temas rockeros que trae el album un tanto lento.otro buen tema es DOES SHE OR DOESNT SHE muy melodico.KISS OF DEATH es el tema mas ligero del disco,12 O CLOCK HIGH muy rockanrollero al igual que DO YOU WANNA DO.junto a ellos hay un tema de JONATHAN CAIN el teclista de JOURNEY llamado ILL BE THERE FOR YOU con teclados muy buen tema un poquito ligero para ser una balada.RULES tema muy en la linea del BLACK N BLUE tradicional muy bueno

y que decir de BEST IN THE WEST super melodico sonido americano,es como si estuvieras metido en su show levantando tus puņos al aire.ahora se el porque de este album fuese muy pero muy dificil de conseguir y como se han pagado mas de $100 en EBAY por tener esta joya hard melodica. asi que a parar de pagar tanto dinero por este disco,ahora tienes la oportunidad de conseguirlo REMASTERIZADO con muy buen sonido o puedes conseguirlo con su BOX-SET 4CDS+1DVD que mas le se puede pedir a la vida

Another great release from Black 'n Blue, this band is really underrated, but I love them, Jamie St. James sings really good, if you haven't heard about Black 'n Blue before you should really check out their first album which is self titled, the first album is their best if you ask me, but this album is very good too!!!

My second favorite disc by this band, but just barely. As usual I am disapointed by the up and down song quality throught the album, but again as usual there are some real gems here. J. Caine from Journey even contributes to the songwriting on the stellar "I'll Be There For You". The opening three tracks of "Nasty Nasty", "I Want It All (I Want It Now)", and "Does She Or Doen't She" are deserve mentioning as well. Once again, good just not essential.

at first i didnt like it mostly becouse of the song "i'll be there for you".but after listening to it again it kind a grow on me.its not as nearly as good as their first 2 albums-but its defenitely not a bad album.highlights here are:"Nasty Nasty", "Does She Or Doesn't She" and "Best In The West".

Great album!!!...love it all...produced by Gene Simmons,Jonathan Cain(Journey)involved too and with the actual Kiss guitar player Tommy Thayer in it as a point of reference..."Nasty Nasty","I Want It All(I Want It Now)"(),"Kiss Of Death","Do What You Wanna Do" & the hit single "I'll Be There For You" are smoking tracks by all means!!!...highly recommended...91/100

excellent release for BLACK N BLUE back in 86 with the band establishing itself as one of the important bands of the 80s hard rock scene!sensational vocals ,superb guitar work and remarkable songs are offered here with "i ll be there for you","nasty,nasty" being classics and ""i want it all",'does she or doesnt she" being great songs!essential of course for any collection
