From the rock band that refuses to die (though the atrocious "Just Push Play" could spell their demise) comes the best album of their lengthy career. Sure, it's got the usual radio-friendly tunes like "Falling in Love" and "Pink," but it's also got ballsy hard rockers like "Something's Gotta Give" and the vastly-underappreciated "Attitude Adjustment." Other AEROSMITH releases have had a few good songs, but "Nine Lives" has a whole bunch of them. Definitely worth picking up.

A collection of pretty strong songs, but it doesn't really sound like Aerosmith anymore. A little on the soft side, but miles above what will follow.

At the moment : 6.76 out of 10. (95 ratings). IT's A SHAME!!!!!!!!!! This album is one of their strongest effort to date. ANd they are all 50!!!! Great great great 10/10

Best Aerosmith album ever!!! No doubt! By the way, the only Aerosmith album that is awesome from the beggining to the end (except by the horrible songs Something's Gotta Give and Attitude Adjustment)! Perfect: 10/10!!!!!

This thing blows. Oone listen to "Taste of India" and it makes me want to barf. This is total crap from such an awesome band. This thing doesn't even deserve a rating. Only thing this is good for is a coaster or a dart board.

Heinous, most heinous. Really long, really boring, really 'un-fun' and its the album where they really began to stop sounding like Aerosmith. It's one I own out of completion, but frankly if i wasn't the Aerosmith-nut I am, i'd rather not have heard this. The title track, Attitude Adjustment and Something's Gotta Give are the only tracks even recalling who this band is... but they're still not worth the price of admission. One day hopefully Aerosmith will come back to us... I hope.

Granted I don't listen to this much, but it's a good record. I like nine lives, taste of India and pink. Aerosmith doesn't sound like they used to, but I guess that's the way it is. I'd say pick it up if you consider yourself an Aerosmith fan.

This is much better than "Get A Grip", but still no classic. The ballads have improved, and tracks such as "Nine Lives", "The Farm", and "Crash" show that they can still rock. "Pink" is just a terrible joke of a song though. 7/10

Pink is one of the worst songs i've ever heard. its basically as crap as grunge. Hole in my soul is a bit better but still is crap. Don't get me wrong,i'm a big fan of aerosmith but i think just like bon jovi,the 90's ruined them. But i'm glad like bon jovi, they have never really jump to the grunge wagon or try to produce them. Nevertheless, this album is one album that is worth money if you are a die-hard fan.

A fierce Aerosmith album ... slimmed down sound from the flabby mess that was Get a Grip (ballads we be). Some classics on here and if the band did an album full of songs like Crash they'd have the world at their feet again!

Totally flat. So flat, as a matter of fact, it plays handball against the curb. Everytime I hear of a new one coming out by these dudes I keep holding out hope. Unfortunately, They seem to have gone the way of a few others; Follow the money, forget which fans got you there originally.

This was the last album that I eventually picked up for a cheap price. Haven't picked up anything else by them since then. There's a few ok songs on here but I don't have any personal favs.

Buenisimo disco, a mi en lo particular me agrada mucho. Quizá un tanto comercialón o tendiente al Pop (esa "Pink" es tan alegre jeje), pero aqui tenemos todavía temas contundentes como la rockanrolera y stoniana "Nine Lives", la festiva "Fallin´ In Love", "Somethin´Is Gonna Give" y claro baladas como "Ain´t That A Bitch" y la increible power ballad "Hole In My Soul", una balada desgarradora y plena de feeling y melodía... en su día la llegué a poner tanto(aah la adolescencia jeje)

Yuck! I've read where this was a pretty tough album to make for the band,and it shows. Tyler sounds tired, and the songs just do nothing for me. "Falling In Love" and "Pink" are just idiotic, "Hole In My Soul" is a dreadful, hookless, shriekfest of a ballad. "Taste of India" is okay, for this release, but wouldn't have made the cut on Pump or Permanent Vacation (might have on Get A Grip). And those were the radio singles. The rest ain't no better. I seem to recall there being one song that rocked respectably without being goofy and dumb, but as it's been well over a decade since I last listened to this turd of a CD, I can't remember which it was. "The Farm," maybe?

i think that "toys in the attic" is a real masterpiece.nevertheless i never was a big fan of aerosmith even if i recognize that this band is a legend.nine lives is for die hard fans of steven tyler and his friends.some thing gotta gave track 6 is the best song of this record with track 2 and 1.the rest is typical aerosmith music.not my cup of tea.

Obviously this is an album done for the masses,so,it has those catchy nice commercial rocking tracks to assure money to the band and to sell out concerts(is a very personal opinion and i'm not discrediting the band itself,the guys are very clear in what they want to do in the business)...3 hit singles came out of this release "Falling In Love(Is Hard On The Knees)","Hole In My Soul" & "Pink" that buys the album itself then some other goodies are tracks 1,4,7,9,13 & 14...in general lines if you are into all this commercial Aero's stuff,then this one's for ya...89/100
