Not sure who listed Contagious as being from the USA but, just look at that Cover! That just screams UK! They are actually from Liverpool, England. This is what I found. Veteran Liverpool Melodic Rockers CONTAGIOUS had already enjoyed a lengthy run prior to signing with the Z Records label for the October 2001 album The Calling'. During 2000 the bands label would hastily convene a version of the band to perfOrm at the Wigan Z Rock festival. Joining regular members guitarist Tony Marshall and bassist Paul Sidebotham for this one off performance would be the American guitarist DANNY DANZI, lead vocalist Steve Kenny, ex-TYGERS OF PAN TANG, WAYSTED and. TEN keyboard player Ged Ryland and drummer Chris Wright. CATHEDRAL drummer Brian Dixon had been involved in the formative stages although his commitments to his priority Doom concern forced him out of the picture.A four track EP 'Red, White And Slightly Blue' would act as a useful taster. By this juncture CONTAGIOUS had pulled In erstwhile |

ARMAGEDDON members singer Glenn Watmough and keyboard player Johnny Larson. Shows in the UK to promote the record included a launch party at the salubrious venue of Maximes in Wigan. Later dates saw appearances at the 2. Rock 2001' festival and gigs supporting VON GROOVE and VAUGHN. CONTAGIOUS hit their stride in 2002 on the live circuit, putting in valuable support slots early in the year to BONFIRE, MIKE TRAMP and TOBY JEPSON. The band was also announced as support act to DOKKEN but pulled out of these high profile gigs due to contractual difficulties. Tony Marshall would join ex-TYKETTO / WAYSTED singer Danny Vaughn's touring band VAUGHN in late 2003 In April of 2005 Marshall then enrolled into the ranksf PRIDE. |
