I have always been a fan of Brian Howe, even when he was in the much maligned Bad Co. lineup that released 4 quality records with him on board. I had a good feeling about this album even before it hit the decks & I am pleased to report back that it is an absolute corker of an album. AOR with an up to date, fresh sound & some absolute top quality tracks. Check out the opening pairing of 'I'm Back', 'Life's Mystery' & the quite excellent 'I'm Surrounded', 'My Town' & 'How It Could Have Been', all lessons in how to write great songs with good choruses, whilst not overdoing it in anyway. There are even a couple of Bad Co. reworkings in the form of 'Holy Water' & 'How About That' that have been given a fresh coat of paint & sound great aswell. Production is crisp & very nicely done without overdoing it & Howe puts in a great performance & sounds fantastic throughout. I guess that's an all round big thumbs up then & quite rightly so. Superb. |

Just got a hold of this. Absolutely love this disc. Jez, you nailed it in your writeup. I've been actually thinking the last couple of years "I wonder what Brian Howe is up to these days. It's been way too long since he did anything." I was so pumped to hear Brian had a new disc ready to go. |

This is just fantastic. Always been a huge fan of Brians Voice and absolutely love his work with Bad Company. They never sounded better then at that time. What a humonges opening title track. Fantastic stuff all around. Absolute killer album. 92/100 |

Another one of my Top 5 for 2010. This disc is absolute bliss. From "I'm Back", 'Surounded', and 'Flying' - to a top notch ballad like 'What Am I Feeling'...and even a song like 'How About That' or 'Feeling Like Coming Home'. His tuned down version of 'Holy Water' is awesome...I don't know if he tours, but if he does - I'm there! 10/10 |

Always preferred the Brian Howe version of Bad Company to Paul Rodgers. His voice is suited perfectly to AOR & he writes a decent tune. This is another consistent release with the highlights being "I'm back", "If you want trouble" (could have been a real belter with a stronger chorus)& a great re-working of "Holy Water". I probably prefer his Bad Company work but would still recommend this to anyone. |

A good album by the former Bad Company singer but not as good as his previous one "Touch" IMO...still recommended enough to have it in every self respected rock collection ...my faves are "Life's Mystery","Sorrounded"(nice mid tempo),"My Town","How'Bout That"(a good remake but not too different from the original BC version),"Feels Like I'm Coming Home" & "Feelings"(nice)...Brian somehow is an underrated singer that has shown to the world that having a solo career can be as profitable as when he was part of Bad Company...85/100 |

Brian Howe is dead but his legacy will be intact for the rest of my life. I always loved his music & always will! His kind of voice is unique! Rest in Peace Brian! |
