ok! let me put it this way...to all those who believe in clone legalitation this comes highly recommended to those who are into def leppard as that's exactly what xl sounds like. to be honest i was expecting something different from this guys but this is too damn sticky sweet for my tastes if you know what i mean and at the end you'll end up completely fed up of listening to this.fortunately a few years later they change their name to kick and thankfully became a much better band that i

recommend you check them out cause they are quite good.

You talk about Rock Candy, Concrete Jungle, Friction, White Eagle, Sgt.Roxx etc. being the best indies ever, although they are great, this one ranks up there with the best ever. Total Def Leppard sound-a-likes, so if you don't like the clone bands maybe this isn't for you. But very impressive none the less. This only came out as a promo copy and just 500 were pressed. Worth every penny you pay and you will be looking at a price range of about $150-$200.

There is a copy of this ultra rare promo disc on ebay at the moment!! I suggest anyone who hasn't go it, get it.

From: David Date: July 31, 2004 at 9:43
It just went for $192 on ebay!! A very good investment.

I like this cd. Although i like anything that sounds like Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, or Kiss. This is a cool album that pretty much has that cool Def Leppard vibe. I see that they go by the name Kick at one time, although I don't see anything on here under that name. Any info on albums would be appreciated.

Zinatra99gt: KICK did 3 CDs, CONSIDER THIS, SWEET LICK OF FIRE and NEW HORIZON (2004). I've got CONSIDER... and SWEET... and the sound is a mix between GUN and LEPPARD ( by SANCTUARY MUSIC ). Mike and Chris Jones are in these band. The third CD has modern breed in his music and you can hear it in MELODICROCK.COM ( sorry for my TARZAN english'style )

Another Def Leppard wanna be band.

From: koogles Date: April 14, 2005 at 9:25
If I had to recommend one other band who sounds close to/identical to DEF LEPPARD, it would be a toss-up between these guys (XL) and BB STEAL. Not only do XL excel at Def Leppard's style but they have HUGE production to match. Although the running time is a bit short, you will definitely get a big bang for your buck in the 24 and a half minutes here. 'Look But Don't Touch' reminds me of 'Tear It Down' while the leadoff track could be a sequel to 'Rock Rock Til You Drop'. DEFINITELY for DL fans!

From: TIM (2) Date: June 1, 2005 at 16:11
Not a clue what the fuss about this one is. 2nd rate DL clones IMO. My mate is selling his copy on eBay at the moment if anyone wants it (an original - there was a limited re-pressing I believe, which doesnt have the 'promotional copy only' stamps on it), but for my money its nowhere near the likes of BB Steal etc. Well played, well produced, but missing the great tunes. 6/10.

From: David Date: June 13, 2005 at 8:37
This is a killer release and in my opinion one of the best indies out there!!! This one is worth the big bucks!! And now it seems that 'A very controversial ebay seller' (I think everyone knows who I'm talking about) has done his own little re-issue. So you can pick up a fairly cheap bootleg!! Favourite track would have to be 'Rock You Over All', but very tough call. This whole album is an absolute monster; yes they are Def Leppard clones but seem to out do them with certain songs. 10/10!!

From: VinceK81 Date: November 29, 2005 at 16:51
This album rivals such classic chorus-laddin albums such as 'Hysteria' or 'Blue Tears.' All 6 songs RIP. All 6 are catchy as hell, and it's a damn SHAME this wasn't HUGE! Killer lyrics, killer hooks. It stands next to Jovi or Tears for sure. RIP IT UP!!!!

From: Geoff Date: March 9, 2006 at 19:29
I agree 100% with Tim (2). Yeah, these guys rip-off Def Leppard (a little too much for me), but only rip off the filler-type of songs Def Leppard recorded, not the gems, IMO. Also agree BB Steal (who sounded a lot like Def lep, but still had their own ideas and songs) are a million miles better than these guys. I love Kick, think they're a great band but this CD doesn't do it for me. Not bad, but blatant clones and the songs, IMO, are pretty standard/average. Who needs another 'Tear it down'?

From: Steelheart Date: April 5, 2007 at 14:02
Def Leppard clone doesn't begin to describe! If you'd never knew this was XL, you could be give forgiven for thinking this is Def Leppard with a new singer. But it's still good, if you find it cheaply, go for it.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: September 29, 2010 at 22:02
Well what can i tell you guys about this lot from the U.K...obviously they have Def Leppard as their biggest influence(way 2 much i'd say) and that makes the album(Ep) lack in originality(especially the choruses are 100% Def Leppard,gosh!)..the six tracks that conform the Ep are ok being the least interesting to me "Love Has The Power" & the best "If You Want My Love"....the whole package is catchy somehow and if you want a rounded review...decent vocalist with a decent partner(both are brothers in case you didn't know)...buy if you are into the Def Leppard thing but for Def Leppard,Def Leppard!!!..you know what i mean .84/100

From: EZ_Rocker Date: May 12, 2012 at 4:58
