How could Poison's song ROCK STAR not be the title song on here? what an oversite. With that said, Steel Daragon rocks. The vocals the guitars the attitude fit. I wish these great players would release a whole "Steel Dragon" album.

Steel Dragon is represented by the voice of Steelheart. That is why it sounds so damn good.

Jeff Scott Soto also did some of the vocals. For those of you who don't know, Steel Dragon is: ZAKK WYLDE- LEAD GUITAR, JASON BONHAM-DRUMS, JEFF PILSON-BASS, NICK CATONESE- GUITAR, MIKE MATIJEVIC- VOCALS, and JEFF SCOTT SOTO- VOCALS.

One of the best "hair metal" soundtracks of all time, thanks to the great songs by the "fictional" Steel Dragon, featuring the stellar vocals of Mike Matijevic (Steelheart) & Jeff Scott Soto (Eyes; Talisman). Like someone above said, I would love to hear a whole album of Steel Dragon tunes because they rock and rock hard. Combine these kickin' tracks with classic 80s rock-anthems like "Wildside" & "Livin' on a Prayer" and you've got yourself a successful soundtrack.

I have to agree M. Allen. This is one of the best hair metal soundtracks. I'm glad to see music like this being made after the long layoff. I wasn't sure anyone could pull it off anymore. I could have lived without the Everclear and the Verve Pipe songs. "Devil Inside" is a good '80s tune, but I wish they'd gone straight hair metal. Maybe some Hardline, XYZ, Poison, Tesla, Aces High, Roko, etc..

I also think Cinderella, Journey, or Madam X's "Cat's Got Your Tongue" would have fit nicely.

This soundtrack is AWESOME except for that retarded Everclear song. They didn't belong on this soundtrack. Far from the 80's with THAT stupid song.

Well I don't want to sound like I can't be pleased, but they have left out the best song from Steel Dragon! The song is called RECKLESS and it is writen by KANE ROBERTS, it's the song that Marky Mark sings when the band are in the studio recording there next album, he is pissed off at the rest of the band members because they wouldn't listen to his own songs. He trys to make it a rap song and the rest of the band don't approve of it.

If you like Jeff Scott Soto's singing on this soundtrack than you might like one of the 2 new albums coming out by him on Nov. 11th. They are "Prism" and "Love Parade."

It's a pretty good movie for the most part. They cover most of the mishaps and short-comings of being a famous rockstar. Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Anniston do a good job with their parts in the movie. The rest of the tunes from Steel Dragon are also very good. We All Die Young is probably the most mellow of them all, but it is the best also. There were a few loose ends that were not tied up at the end of the movie, but I won't give away the ending nitrodoll. Check it out.

Steel Dragon, the fictional band in Rock Star, is quite possibly the best hair metal band that never existed. If this CD was treated as an EP it would be an A+. As it is, Everclear, Verve Pipe and Trevor Rabin get in the way, INXS doesn't fit and Terrible Ted's "Stranglehold" is still one of the most annoying riffs ever recorded. Even with these lowlights, the CD is still a must have for 80's metal fans. And if you like the movie, check out "Still Crazy" about the fictional band Strange Fruit.

This is the guiltiest pleasure to come out in some time. I enjoyed the fictional Steel Dragon twice as much as most metal releases from the past few years. Does anybody know who Myles Kennedy is? I remember hearing the first chords of this in the theatre and my nuts started to tingle. I remember thinking "is that Mad Mikey singing"? I think the movie was inaccurate in spots (guitars and stage gear a bit off)but beggars can't be choosey. This is a must have for all hair freaks. Fun as hell

I would like to know if Fifth Angel are still around. I heard that they went separate ways back in '80s but heard that early 2000 they worked on a new cd/dvd. If anyone knows of anything of this band and band member names it would be appreciated. Some of the songs I have heard of are "Godless", "Breakdown", "Evil Ways", "Colorful", "Stillborn",.look forward to receiving some info of this band...thank you

Jimbo took the words right out of my mouth. None of those tracks fit in. It still baffles me why the two Def Leppard tracks that appear in the movie never made the soundtrack ("Rock Rock 'Til You Drop", "Let's Get Rocked"), nor the Steel Dragon tune that appears in the final music studio scene ("Reckless") A good soundtrack, but it could've been WAY WAY WAY better.

The six Steel Dragon songs here are what makes this so damn enjoyable and will leave you wanting more. Steelheart fans will love three of the trax on offer here obviously, especially the intro to 'Blood Pollution'. 'Livin' The Life' is such a great driving song - there's nothing like pulling up at the lights banging your head while a bunch of elderlies or emo kids look on...

This is The BEST metal soundtrack out there. What a group of musicians. My only wish is that Steel Dragon would get together and put out a full album of their own. 5 songs is just not enough for me...each song is killer. Blood Pollution is my fave on this album....This is a must have disc for any metalhead. 87/100

Lightning doesn't strike twice, like the movie soundtrack for Trick or Treat (1986) where the band Fastway did the entire movie album. It would have been cool to see a version of this soundtrack released with all Steel Dragon tunes. Rock Star by Everclear stands out like the turd in the genre punch bowl. In total there where enough Steel Dragon songs recorded with Mike M. Jeff Martin, and JSS on vocals to make a full album, with 3 extra songs recorded you can find downloads floating around online. "Crown Of Falsehood" (JSS), Reckless (Jeff Martin), Desperate Hearts.
