Pretty poor soundtrack scraping the bottom of the melodic rock scene with some of these acts (save for Extreme, Shark Island and Glen Burtnick). Would have been better if some of the other songs from the movie had made this album such as Warrant's "Game Of War". 4/10

this is a killer soundtrack i love the songs father time and dangerous by shark island, dancing with a gypsy by tora tora, not so far away, walk away and two heads are better than one man i wish soundtracks nowadays would be as good as this. bill and ted's bogus journey is very good too.

First of all that is not Nelson as power tool. You can tell by the voice. Not a bad soundtrack.

The Rocker, you couldnt be more wrong. It is a well known fact that it was them with Dweezil Zappa on guitar.

Nowhere on their offical website does it mention that, and it list every song they have been on. But I don't claim to know everything. I have been listening to this kind of music for 27 years and I do know a bit about this kind of music(my friends say a little to much lol),so it is NOT that well known a fact that it is them. IMO who ever is singing the lead part does not sound like the Nelson brothers.

It does however say the the brothers are credited for writing the song.

Power Tool was an early incarnation of the band Nelson, before they changed their name. My understanding of why they never acknowledge the fact they recorded this song is that when they released this song, they were already under contract to Geffen, and legally they could still be sued by Geffen if they admitted this. As for it being well known, well its been all over the internet for years, so most people who are into the band know this.

So 20 years later they still do not admit to this? Thats funny.
|
From: CC |

Because they could still be sued if Geffen chose to.

Well there ya go, The Rocker. They have finally mentioned it in the press release for the new albums and a live version is available on the new live CD.

The new movie inspired me to get out my old soundtrack disc and give it a spin. This soundtrack is actually better than I remembered. Even the few pop songs are enjoyable enough. Anyway, it is far better than the new Bill and Ted Movie!
